The ruling class has failed. I claim that it is because they think of themselves as the ruling class. They no longer think of themselves as people, as citizens. They are better than everyone else. They have been elected and that has made them better.
But they are not better. In fact, they are most likely worse because they think that they are better.
Outstanding self examination.
“By following those certainties of righteousness and rightness both of ourselves and of our parties we have precipitated this collapse. We are now the problem.”
Mankind is unrighteous and there is nothing he himself can do about it. Man has failed.
Should we stop here, all is lost. There is no point continuing. Our Creator recognized this long before we do and did something about it however.
He makes His righteousness available to us. This is nothing short of staggering!
Romans 3:21-26 KJB… “BUT NOW the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.”
With this awareness of self as fallen and the realization that it is God alone from which righteousness comes can men effectively govern productively (read unselfishly) the affairs of themselves first and others second.
There is much to awaken to, many red pills to take. I am reminded of Caitlin’s article posted yesterday calling for “new solutions”. What we actually require is an old solution to an even older problem.
Peace with God who wants peace with all comes before men can have peace among themselves. Otherwise there will in our minds always exist the good guy versus bad guy mentality, when in reality we are all bad.
Ah! Yes I read this and just posted a comment on another article using it . If you go to the article at ZH read the comment section. You’ll find this comment….
“Is this article bullish for Bitcoin Cash or bullish for Bitcoin SV? It is unclear.”
I laughed for 5 mins until tears. We are so screwed!
I have one of each, so hopefully both. And yes, I found it humorous as well, maybe more so, cuz I hitched my wagon to that Donner Party. Might as well HODL now.
People can cry uncontrollable tears of joy. I never considered that people can also do the opposite-Laugh uncontrollably over a sad situation.
The first thing that Government does is create 2 classes of people. The leaders and the led. There is no getting out of it.
That is kinda the point of voting. You want to stop people from becoming a member of the ruling class. You have to work at keeping people from becoming demi-gods. It happens all too often and it is the natural state because lazy people just want the system to work for them and energetic people just want the system to work for them. Guess which group wins…It’s not your group.
If you want to make this thing better you are going to have to put in the effort. I personally don’t think that GCP’s approach is likely to help much, but there are ways to push the ball down the field. But those ways involve you doing more than voting. You have to talk to people. You have to change their minds. You have to then show that your approach produces better people in congress than their approach.
You see, it is really about who is willing to put in the effort.

The ruling class are the people you vote for. Maybe you need to explain this better because it sounds to like you are defeating your own argument, and I don’t think that is your intention.
I like the idea of term limits, and I do think that all elections should be publicly funded, so that we can rid it of the money influences.
For the most part, I agree with what you are saying, but only because I do not think we can really live without government at this point. People simply do not have the law written in their hearts and minds.
Consequentially, I am deal with conflicting philosophies, both of which I find truth in. I really do believe that we are reject our true nature because it really isn’t moral. It is too horrible to face. However, until we can somehow face and accommodate it, we are going to have to deal with government and all of its trappings.
Sorry, I gotta make a run up the coast to Solvang. But I want to point out before I go that it is not really bad people vs good people. The ruling class that Maus mentions will always be the bad guys. The trick seems to me to be vigilent and make the effort to ensure that not one single person manages to become a member of the ruling class. No more Pelosi, no more McCain. No more anybody in office more than two terms. I know you all will jump to term limits but that is never going to work. You are asking people to give up their gravy train. They won’t. But you have the vote and you can enforce term limits if you can convince enough people to support your effort. It really shouldn’t be too hard. Literally nobody thinks that they have a good congressman. You and all of your buds hate the person who is in there, so work to get them out. Tell you buds that it is important that no one becomes a member of the ruling class.
Fill the house and the senate with AOCs. They certainly can not do worse than a government with a 17% approval rating. Hell, you can even run yourself. Get a slice of that gravy for your own and then move on.
It is easy to corner a 2 party system. Perhaps we need unlimited parties or no party. I prefer the later. No identity politics. Just the persons ideas should be on the table. How many of your friend call themselves right or left? The real eye opener is does either group by them self really all have the same idea’s? Not likely. I know some people who call them self right that are ok with abortion and some that are not. They don’t all hold the same convictions. They have been cornered into a party ideology and herd mentality takes over.
