I’ve done a lot of engineering and software development in the defense industry. There aren’t many women in tech positions. But the ones that are – I’ve never seen one do any OT to get a project out the door. AAMOF, women are the first ones to go into ‘documentation’.
I did a lot of my best work in the evenings and on weekends; never once saw any of our females working at those times. Not once.
Yup, all deserve equal pay as soon as they can handle the total task at hand. I know this could be difficult to wrap our heads around but, men and women are different for a reason. The basic unit, FAMILY, requires both individuals to make it happen over a large sample. So far we have managed to move our culture away from family and into fantasy land. I keep looking around to see how it is working out. So far it appears to be getting worse not better. Just my opinion, butt hole and all.

That is why you are starting to see more females going into politics, they have realized it is a do nothing job with great benefits, perfect career path.

Your pay should be commensurate with the value you deliver to the specific employer/business/etc. Period.
Value of course is also a subjective thing.
An employer cannot sustainably pay ANYONE more than they bring to the company in real value. Period.
It naturally is the goal of every employer to pay less than that value, but the greater the value delivered, the greater the competitive market pressures from other potential employers, etc. the less of that difference he/she is able to keep from the employee.
Genitalia has NOTHING to do with the equation.
