Watch: Julian Assange Arrested In London

Via ZeroHedge

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange’s nearly seven year stay in the Ecuadorian embassy in London has finally come to a disastrous end. After Wikileaks warned last week that Ecuador was preparing in revoke Assange’s asylum based on the claim that he violated its terms, Assange was ousted on Thursday morning, and is now in the custody of British police.

He will likely face extradition to the US, after sealed charges against him were accidentally revealed last year.

In a tweet published moments ago, Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno said that Assange’s “discourteous and aggressive” behavior, as well as “hostile” acts committed by Wikileaks, pushed Ecuador to revoke his asylum. Moreno cited Wikileaks’ publication of sensitive Vatican documents earlier this year as the straw that finally broke the camel’s back. Members of the organization purportedly visited Assange in the embassy after the leak, apparently substantiating suspicions that Assange was still in charge of the organization.

Furthermore, Moreno declared his asylum “unsustainable and no longer viable” because Assange had repeatedly violated “clear cut provisions of the conventions of on diplomatic asylum.”

Following reports last week that the termination of Assange’s asylum was imminent, a UN envoy on torture warned Ecuador that revoking Assange’s protection would be a violation, since he could face “torture” and mistreatment should he be extradited to the US.

The expulsion comes just a day after Wikileaks held a press conference accusing Ecuador of carrying out an “extensive spying operation” on Assange and handing intel over to the British and American authorities.

RT published video of a bearded, disheveled looking Assange being dragged out of the embassy by British police and loaded into a police van.

Journalist Cassandra Fairbanks, who had been in London to protest revocation of the asylum, tweeted what appears to be a first-hand account of the arrest.

She also pointed out that Moreno will visit Washington DC in five days.

If we end up “shooting the messenger”, we will have officially reached the end of our republican cycle. Loan guaranties “trump” justice?
Or is this 5D chess? He will be brought here to testify to all the misdeeds of the TPTB.
Q?

His real offense was leaking that terrible video footage of those innocent men in Baghdad, and the man with children coming to their aid, getting gunned down in cold blood. They obviously posed no immediate threat and were slaughtered to send a message: We’re the Murican government and we can kill you for any reason and no reason at all. It’s a message that applies to a lot more people than those poor souls in that foreign city. Ask the survivors of Ruby Ridge or the Branch Davidians.

As a reminder, Ecuador president Lenin Moreno just surrendered an Ecuador citizen from a place of asylum in their own embassy to a foreign police force.

There is no precedent for this that I can think of; this is a bombshell of contempt into the world of international diplomacy and treaties that will have far reaching consequences. An absolute meteoric crater.

There is nothing like this in the historic record. Allowing foreign police to enter an embassy and arrest an asylumed citizen to be removed is unheard of in the world of modern international law and diplomacy.

If you weren’t afraid before, now is a good time to start. There is no rule of law after this, everything is fair game.

God help us.

Who was Seth Rich? Assange was the source for the leaks about the DNC corruption and Hillary. Rich leaked the info and was murdered while Hillary and Obama did the Russia collusion scam. Trump bore the brunt of the lies and if he now sacrifices Assange you will know that the Deep State, aka: The Globalists have won. There is literally nowhere to hide on the planet.

I r4eally hope Assange is given the chance to tell all he knows and in the future viewed as a voice of truth in hard times.I feel a good chance he will have a accident and while I hope not if that does happen really hope a huge slew of new info. dumped on the net that even the deep state types ect. cannot bury or truthfully deny.

I was wondering that, too. If there was some kind of Daemon set up to go off, wouldn’t that be awesome?

Sadly, I think you are right. I bet the “trial” will be secret because National Security.

@HSF:Sadly, I think you’re correct. This is a very frightening precedent, the clampdown on information contrary to government narratives is complete. Seems Assange and Manning are to be charged as co-conspirators. If Trump signs off on this and allows the cover-up of gov. malfeasance to ride then Trump is worse than Obama and Bush 2.

i disagree–he will be given a tightly controlled show trial that will be lightly covered by the press–
hopefully trump will pardon him or the prosecution will make such an egregious “mistake” that scotus will overturn his conviction, but years after we peons have been taught not to cross our betters–

This could be a major tipping point…not saying will be, but could be. The PTB seem to have come out from their deep cover with this move….Brandon Smith just had an article a day or two ago saying that they would. The arrest is a show of power and that they not only did it in broad daylight and telegraphed the move, shows, perhaps, that they no long fear any sort of justice.

The notion of dead man switches brings a whole other aspect into play. Assange is extremely intelligent, has balls of steel and has had years to prepare. Who knows what types of releases this may trigger.

How the Deep State plays it…who knows? A fair public trial is out of the question, but they definitely will want to give the appearance of giving him one. There are a few ways they could go.

They probably would like to have his plane crash or stage a convenient heart attack, but that is over the top…even average ‘murikans aren’t quite that stupid….yet.

Doubtful. This is just a power play by group I against group II. Assange has information damaging to group II, and group I will go out its way to protect it so that group I can benefit from it.

Same old, same old from the ruling class since time immemorial.

Chelsea Manning has also been arrested, this happened prior to Assange’s arrest. They will be tried together for the release of videos and other material showing the acts of barbarity committed by US forces. This shit show is orchestrated under Trump.

Did anyone else notice the conspicuous absence of diversity in the arresting force? The exact opposite of every other presentation ever made in the last 20 years of the police and security forces in England is supposed to be a casual happenstance in this case?

Everything is designed for it’s impact on the viewing audience, everything.

One of the most important tactical tools of the political elites is optics. Rarely does anything make it into the public consciousness if it hasn’t already been scripted and cast. This arrest (or whatever you want to call it) has nothing to do with justice or the law, it’s about power. See what we can do? You are not safe anywhere, we will carry you out like a sacrificial offering and we will break any law, dismiss any tradition, ignore any convention to show you just how powerless you are.

Of course they also know just how close we are to some kind of Western uprising of conscience, far more so than at any other time in modern memory so they must be very careful to hedge their bets. Had he been carried out by the normal Benneton crew that appear in every other portrayal- a very white man being taken away by a gang of swarthy Hindus, Caribbeans and Kebabs- it would have stirred some from their slumber.

That wasn’t an image they wanted you to see for obvious reasons.

Today, a victory for The Evil Fuckers.

Julian Assange, carried out of the Ecuadorian Embassy; dragged away and like a madman (and he looked the role with the bedraggled beard and gaunt face) thrown into a police paddy wagon. Disgusting.

The British government must be so fucking proud; they permit Yzlamyst fighters returning from sojourns of jihad with ISIS and from Shitholistan with full pardons; re-integration counselling; a council apartment; NHS full medical benefits; a fat stipend plus “the works” for the four chattel wives and horde of little jihadis-in-training.

But a man who shines klieg light on the machinations of corrupt corporations, demonic individuals, evil enterprises, and God-damned governments gets the full persona non grata treatment.

I’d like to see some country like Russia or China offer to take him; just like Edward Snowdon now lives under the protection of the Kremlin. Make a swap for something Unkle Sam wants or needs, like some more Somalians.

The work of Wikileaks must continue , for the flame of freedom flickers in the wind of totalitarian thought control.
The truth dies when it cannot be told; is edited , erased, or when it is buried.

I fear for his life.

A terrible loss in the battle for freedom of conscience.

@ the moment, only one charge of computer hacking conspiracy, feel that will change but perhaps if he lives long enough we might get the truth about Seth Rich and his murder.

I personally believe Seth killed for squealing on billary campaign, though working for dems feel he put country first,if true,a patriot who was killed for his actions.

I noticed that too – WTF? Assange charged with hacking?
Anyone who has read two articles on Wikileaks knows their M.O. – other people hack / leak / stumble across information, which they then LEAK to Wikileaks. Wikileaks doesn’t HACK anyone – they at worst are receiving / concealing stolen goods (concealed long enough to verify), then published online.
Is it possible (I have no way of knowing) that this is actually protective custody? Keeping away the assassins until he can testify to Hillary’s crimes, Seth Rich’s DNC email leak / murder, various other improprieties?
Assange is not a US citizen – his handling of classified information cannot be a crime (someone else has to give it to him). THAT person can be charged and convicted of failure to protect classified information (as Hillary SHOULD have been, without Comey’s interference).
Maybe it is set up to fail prosecution – we can only hope. We need fearless people willing to tell the truth – and as a humanitarian gesture, giving him decent medical, dental, whatever care would be a good move.

If anyone thinks we still live in a free country that observes the Constitution–you are an ignorance, blind fool.

Freedom of the press is now a thing of the past. You are only allowed to publish government sanctioned news. While little guys in the alt media still have some freedom, the government, thru its corporate cronies like Google, is squeezing the alt media by stripping them of their revenue/ad streams and limiting their audience. If they get too big like Wikileaks or a truth-teller like Snowden, they are arrested or must seek exile in one of the only two countries the US will not fuck around with.

As for the rule of law, it no longer exists. The law is now whatever TBTP say it is at a given time. Just ask Jessie Smollett or any poor sucker who has experienced civil forfeiture at the hands of an armed government worker.

Once was once a beautiful free country that was a beacon to the world has become more corrupt and lawless than most 3rd world shitholes.

But hey, the NBA playoffs are about to start and I’m playing with my new iPhone so I’m happy.

I can only hope that he has a high enough profile that TPTB decide they cannot just disappear him. Add to that whatever mechanism to release more material he put in place in the event of his apprehension.

I would love if we got to see him testify under oath, but I’m guessing they won’t allow that.

Manning’s pardon or commutation or whatever deal Obummer gave him makes more sense now.

Manning was in the military when he decided to steal classified. He was under the jurisdiction of the UCMJ and should have been made to serve out the full duration of his sentence. A very bad example set , but what else would you have expected from Barry O.?

Edward Snowdon was a civilian working for the Culinary Institute and having released classified was and is responsible for his actions. Depending on what documents he signed when joining The Company he is most certainly criminally liable for his actions. But he rendered a great service to free people everywhere in alerting the world to the collection activities of certain entities.

Julian Assange is a journalist who works for himself. He signed no documents or swore allegiance to no government, but to Conscience. He represents the greatest threat to the Evil Fuckers for exposing them.

I would be a watershed if he were extradited to the U.S. for trial and then given full due process of Law. Exposure in full view of court and the world would be too damaging. He knows too much.

You are right, TJF; I’m afraid he will be muzzled, gagged, and ultimately silenced,. before being able to speak truth to power.
