Deeper Into the Dark

Guest Post by Jim Kunstler

“Impeachment is too good for him,” Nancy Pelosi declared of the president on Thursday after “his lapdog” — as she styled Attorney General William Barr — refused to be whipped by grandstanding Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee. What did Madam Speaker have in mind then? Dragging Mr. Trump behind a Chevy Tahoe over four miles of broken light bulbs? Staking him onto a nest of fire ants? How about a beheading at the capable hands of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN)?

Mr. Barr’s stolid demeanor during the Wednesday session was a refreshing reminder of what it means to be not insane in the long-running lunatic degeneration of national politics. Of course, the reason for the continued hysteria among Democrats is that the two-year solemn inquiry by the august former FBI Director, Mr. Mueller, is being revealed daily as a mendacious fraud with criminal overtones running clear through Democratic ranks beyond even the wicked Hillary Clinton to the sainted former president Obama, who may have supervised his party’s collusion with foreign officials to interfere in the 2016 election.

Mr. Barr’s hints that he intends to tip this dumpster of political subterfuge, to find out what was at the bottom of it, is being taken as a death threat to the Democratic Party, as well it should be. A lot of familiar names and faces will be rolling out of that dumpster into the grand juries and federal courtrooms just as the big pack of White House aspirants jets around the primary states as though 2020 might be anything like a normal election.

In short and in effect, the Democratic Party itself is headed to trial on a vector that takes it straight into November next year. How do you imagine it will look to voters when Mr. Obama’s CIA chief, John Brennan, his NSA Director James Clapper, a baker’s dozen of former Obama top FBI and DOJ officials, including former AG Loretta Lynch, and sundry additional players in the great game of RussiaGate Gotcha end up ‘splainin’ their guts out to a whole different cast of federal prosecutors? It’s hardly out of the question that Barack Obama himself and Mrs. Clinton may face charges in all this mischief and depravity.

It’s surely true that the public is sick of the RussiaGate spectacle. (I know readers of this blog complain about it.) But it’s no exaggeration to say that this is the worst and most tangled scandal that the US government has ever seen, and that failing to resolve it successfully really is an existential threat to the project of being a republic. I was a young newspaper reporter during Watergate and that was like a game of animal lotto compared to this garbage barge of malfeasance.

It’s a further irony of the moment that the suddenly leading Democratic candidate, Joe Biden, is neck-deep in that spilled garbage, the story unspooling even as I write that then-Veep Uncle Joe strong-armed the Ukraine government to fire its equivalent of Attorney General to quash an investigation of his son, Hunter, who received large sums of money from the Ukrainian gas company, Burisma, which had mystifyingly appointed the young American to its board of directors after the US-sponsored overthrow of Viktor Yanukovych.

That nasty bit of business comes immediately on top of information that the Hillary campaign was using its connections in Ukraine — from her years at the State Department — to traffic in political dirt on Mr. Trump, plus an additional intrigue that included payments to the Clinton Foundation of $25 million by Ukrainian oligarch Viktor Pinchuk. That was on top of contributions of $150 million that the Clinton Foundation had received earlier from Russian oligarchs around 2012.

Did they suppose that no one would ever notice? Or is it just a symptom of the desperation that has gripped the Democratic Party since the stunning election loss of 2016 made it impossible to suppress this titanic, bubbling vessel of fermented misdeeds? It seems more than merely possible that the entire Mueller Investigation was a ruse from the start to conceal all this nefarious activity. It is even more astounding to see exactly what a lame document the Mueller Report turned out to be. It was such a dud that even the Democratic senators and congresspersons who are complaining the loudest have not bothered to visit the special parlor set up at the Department of Justice to read a much more lightly redacted edition of the report.

The mills of justice grind slowly, but they grind exceedingly fine. The wheels are in motion now and it’s unlikely they will be stopped by mere tantrums. But the next move by the desperate Resistance may be to create so much political disorder in the system that they manage to delegitimize the 2020 election before it is even held, and plunge the nation deeper into unnecessary crisis just to try and save their asses.

Putin’s not a “good guy” for us. He’s doing his duty on behalf of Russia and its Russian people, which is a hell of a lot more than anyone in the US is doing for the US and its people – including Trump and Rand Paul, among other darlings of the supposed right. But Putin is no friend of the US, he’s just not the monster that the Dems and other assorted idiots have made him out to be.

In a half-intelligent world we would all recognize that foreign leaders are going to work on behalf of their nations, not ours, and we wouldn’t act surprised or pretend it’s a crime for them to do so. I hope that one day the US, or more likely its remnant, will have a leader working on its behalf. Trump is maybe slightly less bad than his predecessors, but not by much. The un-PC NY cartoons of the last two weeks aren’t wrong.

Unless you meant the only “good boy,” the dog in the photo, I’m sure that good boy is doing just fine.

“But Putin is no friend of the US”

Nor am I.

Although I was born in this country I had the immense luck to not have been ‘educated’ in it (i.e. indoctrinated in it) hence my ability to see through the constant barrage of low-brow BS propaganda that my fellow American’ts have experienced since elementary school moving forward. And boy, how they love to gobble that crap up! I value intelligence, courage and morality. I have a strong sense of justice. My fellow citizens mostly value pharmaceutical drug consumption, pot smoking, pornography, instant self gratification, low quality food and gender switching. That makes me a species in extinction amongst my peers. I find I no longer have anything in common with the vast majority of the people that surround me anymore. Hence I find I have much more in common with Russians, for example, than with my own. This is why I’m currently learning Russian ( I already speak fluent Spanish) and although I don’t have plans to move to Russia any time soon (although it is a possibility) I do have definitive plans to leave this country along with my entire family within the next few years. I need to be among people that share my values.

My personal analysis based on decades of careful observation is this: This country is unsalvageable. It is currently balls-deep into the process of societal, economic, moral, judicial and intellectual collapse. You can’t turn decades worth of self-destruction around on a dime just like the Titanic couldn’t avoid hitting that chunk of ice back in 1912. We’re not ‘about’ to hit the iceberg ..our bow is presently firmly smashed up against it as we speak and icy water is flooding into the lower decks. I pity those who never took the time to learn another language, experience another culture or live, however temporarily at least, in another country. Like the Roman galley slaves of old, they will now go down chained to their oars together with the ship because they quite complacently never bothered to break the ties that held -and still hold- them there.

Whatever fantasies my fellow American’t may hold regarding this nation, the truth is that is has devolved into a worldwide source of evil, degeneracy and criminality. And karma is a bitch my friends, an angry, angry bitch at that, too.

All those who self-identify as women and children first!!”comment image

The US has no “friends” in foreign countries…It has well paid stooges in some, but the rest simply fear that the US will sanction, bomb, invade, or fund a color revolution against them, so they go along for now…except Russia and China.

The stink of desperation coming from the democrats is overwhelming. Every time a hearing doesn’t go as planned (Barr, Kavanaugh) they loose their minds, and act like cry babies.

the truth must really hurt these folks.

Enough to make them want to tear this nation utterly & completely apart from the roots up.

Very well written, he even took another break from swiping at the “orange golem”. A handful of states seem dead set on making a law that requires Trump to show his taxes or he will not show up on the ballot. This almost definitely is unconst, what is required to run for president is laid out fairly simply. But who knows its in “blue states” but regardless it would be a big deal, especially with the big list of popular vote states.

Joe Biden, is an extremely weak “frontrunner”. The old commie is probably the toughest, despite his idiotic positions, he has a network now, money, passion, and he gets 100% of the Demo-Commie vote automatically. Don’t know how many non-commie Dems are left, but it seems a smaller slice of what’s left than ever before. The rest of the intersectionality club are pretty much a joke, or utterly lack charisma. Old commie doesn’t bother to put his finger in the wind to see how the intersectionality winds are flowing, at least not overly much. He doubles down on letting murderers and pedo’s and terrorists vote, what a brave (insane) position. Buttplug has already staked out all the same radical positions as his other demo-commies (9 month abortions etc). If he was a true centrist he might find a niche, but just being gay just doesn’t give him enough street cred. Maybe if he was a gay black transgender he could really make some headway, since clearly that’s whats important now adays as the country implodes.

Since these states are arbitrarily and capriciously
altering Constitutional requirements for running for
the office of President (which, short of a Constitutional
Amendment they are NOT ALLOWED to do), I do wonder
how smug they will be after the current Administration’s
future lawsuit is favorably decided by SCOTUS to completely
disallow and disregard their Electoral College votes?

The wailing and gnashing of teeth should be epic.

$21 T-R-I-L-L-I-O-N dollars missing! FASAB (federal accounting standards advisory board) changes the accounting rules taking OUR finances dark, to squash any look into what happened to all that money and not a peep of outrage anywhere!?
Where and what on OUR government spends OUR money on is no longer OUR business because it has been deemed a “security issue”). Yet, we think this debacle is going to magically right this sinking ship?

When a populace is as wealth as we are, we attract parasites and predators like nothing else on Earth. Our economy has turned into one vast, mutual asset-stripping system (my main bitch is the Medical, Medical-Insurance and pharma/device cartel, which is essentially a price-fixed monopoly.)

The slaves sweated over cutting stones for Pharaoh’s tombs.
We simply do a variation on this theme.

Eventually this will end, but the decline in living standards currently disguised by issuing insane levels of IOU’s is baked into the cake. We’re all going to fall on hard times.

If there’s any justice (which seems like a pipe dream) it will be the parasites and predators who fall on the hardest times of all.

As long as the credit cards authorize at Point-of-Sale (and the US Treasury can float another $900 billion into the Debt Ocean), nothing will change.

Both of these things are signals that “What, me worry?” mass psychology is still humming along.

We ALL know that this isn’t going to continue forever, but it’s like a massive game of chicken, combined with a perception that when we stop agreeing to ignore the rot, we all stand to see our living standards collapse.

We’re like Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire, desperately clinging to insanity rather than accept the condition in which we actually live.

It’s a herd thing. It makes no sense, because herds and flocks and schools don’t bob and weave according to some kind of rational map. They’re just a mass of individuals that behave like a single headless chicken.

In the meantime, I guess we should enjoy the spectacle. One day, maybe soon, maybe not, we’ll wake up and the herd will have suddenly done an about-face. What was fashionable now will then be prohibited and vice-versa. What worked now will lead to utter ruin then.

But hey, what do I know. I thought this CLOWN PARADE would end long before the trannies came along.

This is how you handle an NPC.

Kuntztler hit it on the head of employing foreign spy nationals. You see, this is where Karl Deniger got it wrong saying there is not predict for spying. Because the foreign nationals don’t have to apply for a warrant.

Back to your friends and other NPCs. You have to explain to them firstly, that if Hillarly had won and or Mike Rogers had not run to Trump and inform him , none of this would be know.

Then, you have to explain how they needed to employ foreign spy agencies to get around the legalize of legal warrants.

I would use the negative approach . Why don’t we admit that we are a police state ? Do away with FISA judges all together. And rather then employ foreign agents just allow FBI and CIA to spy directly on American Citizens. Because as of now. Trump has all these foreign nations ( Austrialia, Turkey and the UK ) dead to rights and can now blackmail them.

This is why the British spy agent Steele is said to have authored the Dossier and not Nellie Ohr.

Which begs a question? Why would a Brit even be interested in an American election?

Whoa. JK’s last paragraph is one for the ages.

I was thinking similar as I watched Hilda on Madcow the other night. In the 2:00 – 7:37 segment (below) the Harpy callously and disingenuously undermined the U.S. Election process; in a similar way as all of the guilty parties in the FBI and DoJ further diminished the integrity of those institutions.

The U.S. has been torn asunder and Trump will no doubt be blamed in the aftermath of a full-blown economic collapse; at least in the near term. One can only hope the asses of the guilty ones aren’t “saved” from justice.

As I once wrote in my article entitled: Let Justice Be Done though the Heavens Fall:

In the random universe, victory resides within the hearts and minds of those most committed.

Especially when your allies can make hundred$ of million$ from it? Delay is a godsend to the guilty. Why would the innocent bother?

Kunstler managed to schedule the Dhemoroid party’s big blisters before Judge Roy Bean, assuring no due process?

Congressional testimony isn’t a Grand jury – it doesn’t indict or try on the facts. It’s just an opportunity for notables to gargle outrage in front of a camera. Who is going to bring charges, the A.G? What’s going to stick based on whose testimony?

Last I heard, only military folk can’t claim the 5th Amendment. As soon as the bugs are under the light’ they’ll freeze up and shut up.

“The mills of justice grind slowly, but they grind exceedingly fine.”

That would be the mills of God, maroon. The mills of Justice, like the mills of our Congress, only grind fine when lubricated by lots graft. And they grind only for those who pay it.
