The Coming Wrath Of Barr: The Real Story Behind The Russian Hoax

Authored by Graham Noble via Liberty Nation,

If there is any issue that cries out for a special counsel investigation, it is the evolution of the Trump-Russia collusion theory. Attorney General William Barr may well have decided that the nation does not need to go through such an ordeal again, but he did the next best thing by tapping John H. Durham to investigate what could well be the most nefarious political conspiracy in American history.

Durham is Connecticut’s top federal prosecutor, an attorney with a reputation for toughness and a resume that includes investigations into high-level government corruption cases. Reports suggest that he has been on the job for some weeks already, and that is an indication of how seriously the matter is being taken by the attorney general.

A History Of Investigating Government Officials

In 1999, Durham was appointed special prosecutor to investigate alleged ties among Boston police officers, federal agents, and organized crime figures, including James “Whitey” Bulger. As a result of Durham’s work, four men who had been imprisoned for murder years earlier had their sentences vacated because they had been framed by the FBI. One retired agent was sentenced to ten years in prison on racketeering charges. Another former agent who faced charges died before his trial.

In 2008, Durham was assigned to look into a major scandal involving the CIA’s destruction of graphic interrogation recordings, though the Department of Justice (DOJ) declined to bring charges in the case. The following year, Attorney General Eric Holder appointed Durham to examine the CIA’s “enhanced interrogation” methods.

Upping The Ante

John H. Durham

If Barr did not anticipate the possibility of criminal indictments or the need to subpoena former government officials – people like former FBI Director James Comey – he could have handed off the probe to Michael Horowitz, the DOJ’s inspector general. Horowitz, who is currently looking into the FBI’s application for a FISA warrant in 2016 and three subsequent extensions of that warrant, does not have the scope of authority to investigate the affair conclusively. Essentially, inspectors general could be described more as auditors than investigators.

The Justice Department’s IG is expected to deliver his report sometime in June,  and Durham may well use Horowitz’s findings in his own investigation. Unlike Horowitz, Durham can subpoena private citizens – including former government officials – as well as utilize the full range of prosecutorial tools.

A Massachusetts native, Durham was appointed in 2017 to his current position as a U.S. attorney by President Donald Trump. The prosecutor’s scope, with regard to the origins of the Russia investigation, has not been revealed by the DOJ. According to a source not authorized to comment publicly, Durham will determine whether the original FBI probe into alleged collusion between Russia and Trump campaign associates was properly conducted.

Durham, a Republican, is known as “apolitical.” His record indicates a tough but fair prosecutor who, as The Washington Post put it in 2009, has “parachuted into crisis situations for both political parties over three decades.” The fact that Barr has enlisted him is no small matter. The entire collusion story has crumbled rapidly, over the past few months, and it now seems possible – finally – that those who conspired to fabricate a phony, politically motivated counterintelligence operation will face a reckoning.

Just playing Devil’s Advocate here, but didn’t Mueller just complete a two year investigation into the Russian Collusion story? He should have completely uncovered everything about it and have all that information on hand. If it doesn’t contain it then it wasn’t really an investigation, was it? And if it wasn’t a thorough investigation, what was it exactly and can we have our money back?

So, we need investigators to investigate the previous investigators…….

I’m tired of this circus, bombshell discovery’s everywhere but no arrests.

Not only should we get our money back but, Mueller should be investigated for possible dereliction of duty.

How could that not have come up?

I know about Fusion GPS, and Perkins Coie and the dossier and Steel and how the Obama State Department allowed Natalia Veselnitskaya permission to enter the US in order to meet with the Trump campaign and how the DNC paid for all of them by moving money through three separate law firms. How could Mueller claim not to have looked at any of that information since every last bit of it led directly to the FISA warrants, upon which the entire case rested?

It isn’t possible.

True that, learned that from Howie Carr. Wish I could have listened to his show today to get his take, but am traveling. He is the ultimate SME on this stuff.

“sometime in June” So the can has been kicked down the road once again.
What a show. Nixon, Lewinsky, etc… And yes, Kennedy was a show too.
I must admit, I still expect something relevant will happen with this presidency.
The man has been prepared for decades.
While we follow that garbage, the world is transformed before our eyes, to a new order.
At least, GOT ends next week…

Why isn’t a similar person appointed to do a real investigation of:
— Hillary (with all here cronies) and the whole private email server
— the ‘exoneration’ of Hillary by Comey for same
— the Uranium One deal
— Seth Rich
— many many others

Oh yeah, THIS investigation will get to the bottom of all previous investigations and the warrants will be written, the trials will commence, the truth will come out and the flying pigs will orbit the earth.

I believe now, with Barr on board, that some of the mid-level gangsters (chumps) will face justice, but what about the upper-level criminals such as Clinton and Obama, and whoever is above them?

no ex potus will be touched–hillary possibly but the evidence would have to be so clear that even a 3rd grader would see the corruption–

Barr and Trump are making noises and DJT did a great job of not taking Mueller’s bait on obstruction. This is a civil, (bloodless except for Seth Rich) civil war but it is a war for the soul of America. Are we too far gone…sure if we just give up and say, it’s the Deep State, the Joos, the Left whatever….we fight and win or die trying to hold onto the principles of limited government, individual liberty, property rights and free markets. They day we stop fighting, there are many predators happy to take over unopposed.

It really frustrates why Trump has not sent in a Marine division to retake DC, arrest these MF’ers and execute them on the white house lawn for insurrection and attempting to overthrow the legitimate government of the USA. Obama, Holder, Lynch, Clinton, Clapper, Brennan, Comey, McCabe, Page, Storzk, the Ohrs, Baker, Weismann, Mueller, Rosenstein, as well as Schiff, Harry Reid, McCain (dig him up and hang him again) after very short military tribunals.

Trump is still committed to working through the process he has much more patience than I would.

This is the worst abuse of power in American history……..remember the “investigations” of Trump mid-summer 2016 were a cover-up of the illegal spying that occurred as far back as 2010 by the Obama regime against their political enemies. Trump just had the audacity to get elected and that put the Deep State and their willing co-conspirators in the media in a panic.

Either we are a nation with rule of law equally applied or there is no law just a will to power.

Not another special counsel. Grand Juries that can indict people. US Attorney Durham shouldn’t take much time naming names with all the good work done the last two years. If silence through the summer then yes another Benghazi/IRS/FastNFurious cover-up.

Just a thought. Admiral Roger’s met with Trump on Nov 17, 2016.

If Trump knew of spying early on. Why wouldn’t he entrap Comey?

Surely, he would have known Comey was a rat early on.

Trump did know a lot but being a smart guy he knew there was a lot more he didn’t know and needed to learn. He was like Gulliver waking up on the beach as a stranger in a strange land.
Unlike so many swamp cork soakers I get the impression he believes in rule of law and if this can possibly work out as we may hope, he will leave a lasting legacy or ode to that rule of law which is the sine qua non for a Constitutional Republic made up of free people.

question–
this s’storm could not have occurred w/o the connivance of the press–
if it is possible to do so,should members of the press be prosecuted?

TampaRed
TampaRed
May 15, 2019 10:47 pm

another question–
let’s assume that our intel agencies really were concerned that trump was a russian asset of some sort–
under those circumstances, assuming that nothing was leaked, would their behavior have been improper?
what should the penalty be 4 weaponizing(leaking) this kind of confidential info?
in an investigation like this, who should be notified?congressional leadership ?the supreme court?

with all the allegations against him, if bush would have had obama investigated in’08,assuming it wasn’t weaponized, would it have been legit?

If that were true then Obama is implicated. There is no way on God’s green Earth that these Obamaphiles in the intelligence community would not brief him on a case of this magnitude if true. And he’s denied any knowledge of anything related to this. How probable is that scenario?

Less than zero.

So either he’s implicated or they were rogue. There is no third option.
