WASHINGTON — House Democrats, frustrated by President Trump’s efforts to stonewall their investigations and eager to stoke public anger about the president’s behavior, are pinning their diminishing hopes on Robert S. Mueller III yet again…. Mr. Mueller, who was invited to testify by the chairmen of the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees a month ago, has not agreed to do so.  — The New York Times

Oh? Is that so? Do you wonder why Mr. Mueller might not want to open his aching heart to any House committee in the desperate, last-ditch effort to wring some impeachment joy juice from the already wrung-out narrative of his disappointing report? For the excellent reason that the minority Republican members of said committees get to ask questions too, and they are sure to be embarrassing questions, perhaps placing the Special Counsel in legal jeopardy.

For instance: why did Mr. Mueller not reveal publicly that his team, and the FBI, both knew from the very start that the predicating “corpus of evidence” for the two-year inquisition was written by Glenn Simpson and his hirelings at Fusion GPS, the Hillary Clinton campaign’s disinformation contractor — including “Russia specialist” Nellie Ohr, wife of the then Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr? I could go on, but the above fact-nugget alone is enough to inform any sentient adult that the Mueller Investigation was an entirely political act of seditious subterfuge, and there are many other actionable nuggets of blatant mendacity in the 444-page report to inspire the convening of grand juries against a great many officials in orbit around Mr. Mueller. So, don’t expect Mr. Mueller to show up in any congressional witness chair, though he may occupy one in a courtroom around the time that the next major election is in full swing.

Here’s what will actually happen. These House majority committee chiefs are going to quit their blustering over the next week or so as they discover there is no political value — and plenty of political hazard — in extending the RussiaGate circus. In the meantime, a titanic juridical machine, already a’grinding, will discredit the whole sordid affair and send a number of hapless participants to the federal ping-pong academies. And by then, the long-suffering citizenry will barely give a shit because we will have entered the climactic phase of the Fourth Turning (or Long Emergency, take you pick), in which the operations of everyday business and governance in this country seriously crumble.

The Golden Golem of Greatness will be blamed for most of that. The internal contradictions of Globalism were already blowing up trade and financial relations between the US and China. The Trump tariffs just amount to a clumsy recognition of the fatal imbalances long at work there. As a 25 percent tax on countless Chinese products, the tariffs will punish American shoppers as much as the Chinese manufacturers. Trade wars have a way of escalating into more kinetic conflicts.

The sad truth is that both China and the US are beset by dangerous fragilities. Both countries have borrowed themselves into a Twilight Zone of unpayable debt. Both countries are sunk in untenable economic and banking rackets to cover up their insolvency. China’s fate hangs on distant energy supply lines that run through bottlenecks like the Straits of Hormuz and the Straits of Molucca. The US has been producing torrents of shale oil at a net financial loss — a business model with poor long-term prospects. The temperament of the Chinese people is conditioned historically by subservience to authority, which tends to blow into anarchic rage quickly and catastrophically when things go wrong. The US populace, sunk in decadence, despair, distraction, and delusion, moves sluggishly toward unrest — and for the time being expresses its discontent only in ceremonial narcissistic grievance.

The quarrel between the US and China now threatens to suck the rest of the world into a global business depression, which is what you might expect when globalism seizes up and the global players start scrambling desperately to keep any kind of economy going. The danger then will be that the disgruntled populations of these many lands could become as delusional as Americans, and equally inclined to international violence. There could be all kinds of fighting in all sorts of places while everybody goes broke and hungry. And meanwhile, Robert Mueller meets his protégé Jim Comey for the ping-pong championship of Allenwood federal penitentiary.

OK, I will start (slow day at the office). I like the analogy of a market clearing reset….aka 4th Turning, Long Emergency by any name a definitive resolution as to the collective will of the American people. Historically while potentially a “game ender” and certainly one could argue we were worse off post centralization of power in the Civil War it has mostly worked out. The dynamic for this “crisis” the challenge of China to the US hegemon coupled with an internal crisis of yet again more centralized authority vs. liberty with icing of deep statism is likely to produce yet again the aforementioned existential crisis that could “end America”.

I really thought it was going to be different this time, that with Orange Man Bad elected we had a chance to peacefully come to a resolution. How naive of me….those in power will never ever surrender that power willingly. The leftist/DeepState/Media FSA crowd will not slink off to write their memoirs nope they will concoct a coup via “Russian Collusion” and failing at that look at false flags, election fraud, and assassination if need be to stop Orange Man Bad. Same old same old.

Meanwhile, China’s commie elite are cornered……they can’t afford to lost America as an export market of their economy goes off the rails and they will have the episodic peasant revolt that deposes Chinese emperors. They also cannot impose their will on America under Orange Man Bad as they have with prior American presidents and congress critters (Clintons, Bushes, Obama and all the senators and congressmen who sold out America for a few Yuan). The conflict over trade will likely continue to escalate as it did in the 1930s or the last 4th Turning.

China’s main exports (40%) are electronic equipment and machinery. They’re aren’t worried about countries with lower cost labor grabbing the market for shoes, cloths and toys. They aren’t worried that their exports to the U.S. (about 30% of what they make) will collapse to zero.

China knows they’ll be able to stay afloat when the bond defaults evaporate Uncle Sam’s credit line. China won’t be holding our worthless Treasury notes, we will. China’s populace isn’t going to revolt in a meaningful way when the whole world starts circling the economic toilet. They aren’t going to blame their leaders because it’ll be easy for their leaders to blame lazy, greedy America for flushing the toilet. No propaganda required.

In an economic free-for-all, razor thin margins will slice a lot of throats. Those living on credit will bleed out first. America has the biggest credit line and it is overextended beyond salvation. Any country funding 800 military bases around the world, spending more on weapons than the rest of the world combined, is an economic basket case begging for a coffin. Our military consumes more $’s than the GDP of most major countries.

That, more than anything else, gives other countries a major economic advantage in every arena, including the world’s always open weapons bazar for regime change.

America’s military is its heaviest lodestone, same one that destroyed the Soviet Union. Unsustainable, out of control military expenditures that are capable of swallowing $2.3 Trillion without shitting out a crumb. ONE day after the SecDef, Rumsfeld, announced that nobody could figure out where the $2.3 trillion went (9/10), the records of this ongoing fraud were incinerated in WTC 7 and the Pentagon. That wasn’t coincidence.

Kuntzler is pointing at shadows instead of what creates their silhouette – Our righteous, self-proclaimed duty to protect the world from our shadow. But not our bombs.

Raytheon for everyone!

Noted a description in other blog of militry industrial complex=malignant consuming virus.

That works for me-it is malignant, consuming the country, and it is a virus, evidently unable to be cured.

Diogenes,
My questions is when a few thugs rob a bank for 1billion eventually that shows up when they start spending their loot. If we dont memory hole 911 and teach our kids maybe they will ask how the bush’s went from 1b to 50b in family worth in one generation. Seems that money is offshore for their next generation of elites. Why building 7 collapsed remains a mystery unless you know the fact it was “pulled”. Im just surprised hillary wasnt smart enough to place her personal server in the bathroom of building 7….(smirk).

Didn’t read this. Honest. CAN’T read it. Really.

Two plus fucken YEARS of Russian collusion stories. And it’s still going on. I would bet my pristine 1995 Buick Century that the MSM, talk radio, internet bloggers, Demon candidates, etc. etc. etc. will STILL be talking about this right up to the 2020 elections. Fuck dat shit.

Wouldn’t read the article if Admin wrote it. Or, Uncola. Or anyone else in the known universe. The national obsession with this crap is truly sickening. I hate humanity.

lol. I’m the opposite, Stuck. It’s like staring at a car wreck of historical proportions and I can’t look away.

JK hit the bullseye with this one:

China needs the US as much as the US needs China.
It is true that both countries are in debt over 100% of GDP, but, so are all the other major economies of the world: Japan and EU.

Does anyone think Japan is going away or crumbling?
They import 100% of their energy and most of their food, yet they still have the 3rd or 4th largest gdp and their nation is undergoing the same demographic shift most western countries face (old farts>young farts)

Relax, nothing is going to change, except the prices of everything,
and if you can’t figure out how to manage your budget, and inflation,
then you need to put your thinking cap on.

Everything else is just noise, a constant distraction to keep you from noticing that politics is just a game for ugly rich folk.

Tell me something, when was the last time you saw a politician and said “I want to do that”
it just does not happen, hear or anywhere.
think about that.
a game for rich ugly folks who are power hungry psychopaths.

I would never invite one over for dinner, or even have a drink with one, they are scum, and they know it.

Barr has repeatedly said that he has no objection the Mueller testifying, which give credence that it is Mueller himself who is balking. After all, Barr has authored nothing save a 4 page memo summarizing a report which is now largely available to anyone who cares to read it. What does Barr care? Anything in that report is totally on Mueller’s head, and he will definitely be asked some uncomfortable questions, starting with,’how come it took you so long to figure out this was a hoax?’ In their quest to impeach, the Democrats can’t really bring anyone forth to testify who would not open themselves up to embarrassing questions. Some would have to take the fifth. They are stuck in ‘let’s throw it all against the wall and sees if any of it sticks’ mode. With collusion off the table, the worm has turned, and I wouldn’t be surprised if either Comey, Brennan or Clapper cut a deal to save their own skin.

While Trump seems patriotic in his smaller endeavors all politicians work to keep a two party system, swapping and fighting. Watch a shooting war (china, iran, cuba, syria) to allow msm a way out of their felonious russiagate. Watch how fast the narratives change and all things russia goes memory hole. By the time you forget russiagate it will rear its head in 23 dem candidates popping off cnn quotes in debates and november of 2020 only. The dems and rinos are looking right now as I type for the best distractive narrative to move away from russiagate. Pay attention and you will see it matriculate by this august, a new narrative a new distraction. Certainly anything financial can take a quick headline. Inflation due to china selling treasuries. But certainly any new narrative must be believable and cause the citizenry enough pain to forget russigate all together. That way the treasonous get off and faith is restored in a two party system. These treasonous bastards are damn lucky. This time….just like the last hundred times.
