Assange is smart enough to know what he got himself into. I’m sure he laid many landmines for just this situation. He’s a hero in my book.
Assange is a hero and may soon be a martyr, given reports that he is seriously ill…I would bet CIA assassins are responsible…
I hope wikileaks publishes everything they’ve been hanging onto.
Letting Assange die in jail is an easy out: plausible deniability. “The Brits did it” we’ll say; “The Americans wanted him,” the Brits will say. Then, the distractions will commence,”Oh look, there’s a squirrel! With a bomb!”
And the reason that the “media” – the “protected-by-the-first-amendment-free-press-media” – are silent is due to the fact that THEY, the corporatists that they are, do not want equal protections under the law for a non-journalist, which is what they consider Assange to be. He is a leaker, a whistleblower (at least the conduit for such), a hero, perhaps, but NOT a journalist. The “alternative” (non-corporatist/non-legacy/non-monopoly) media do not, in their persepctive, engage in journalism but sensationalism, nationalism, extremism, but not objective reporting of the facts.
Which is absurd. Laughable. Mockable. These MSM reporters are ridiculous cucks for the fascists in charge; they report the “official story” (agenda) while toeing the official line of the “party”, the “rulership”, the “corporation” (advertisers) . . . and somehow actually FEEL (NOT think by any means) that they are CORRECT for doing so.
I have no idea what the “goal” is, if there is a “plan” at play here, but so far, it appears to me that the persecution of Assange that we now witness is EXACTLY what Hill-Ro would do: everybody on the right just KNEW that she would shut down the alternative media ASAP . . . but under Trump we have the corporations doing it instead, while the deep.gov has apprehended Assange in one nation while another is burying the man with indictments.
Hillary would call good “evil”, and evil “good” . . . and that is EXACTLY what is happening here now. If he dies in jail for doing the right thing . . . if we prosecute him for whatever because he did the right thing . . . “we”, and our first amendment, are f*cked. No one will be immune. Or safe. Or “free” to speak what they really think.

And RP makes a great point: charging him under the espionage act (aiding the enemy, etc. . . and what “enemy” did he aid, exaclty?) PROVES that WE, the American people, ARE the enemy.
