A new study by researchers at Turku University in Finland found that the human contribution to a rise of 0.1°C in global temperatures over the last century is just 0.01°C.
The paper, titled ‘No experimental evidence for the significant anthropogenic climate change’ was published by Jyrki Kauppinen and Pekka Malmi.
The study found that, “During the last hundred years the temperature is increased about 0.1°C because of carbon dioxide. The human contribution was about 0.01°C.”
Kauppinen and Malmi conclude that global temperatures are controlled primarily by cloud cover and that “only a small part” of the increased carbon dioxide concentration is anthropogenic.
The study also calls into question the claims of the UN IPCC, which concluded that global temperatures are largely driven by human activity.
While the methods and results of the study can be debated, this once again illustrates how there is no overwhelming consensus on man-made global warming as the media often claims.
In reality, there are dozens of prominent scientists who believe that climate change is driven by natural forces or that the United Nations’ climate projections are unreliable.

That’s an odd thing to use, a permanent steel straw fixed to a steel lid? How does one clean and sanitize that? Is their a straw cleaning device out there at Bed, Bath and Beyond? Or do you use pipe cleaners or a bore brush? Or do you just hand it to the butler and let him figure it out?

The straw is not permanently fixed to the lid and can be pulled out and removed to clean it just like most plastic coffee mugs from Starbucks but it is pretty firmly fixed in the lid/cup once inserted back in and because the lid was metal with no give to it and the straw as well, once you fall on it, well you know the rest of the story!

The eco-terrorist global warming fanatics are going to be caught short in the next sunspot cycle minimum which we are entering into right now……Look up Maunder Minimum to get a flavor for what is coming. Won’t be much of a change here in MT…..except our ski passes will be useful year round….though we will have to grow stuff indoors…..The Inuit and Laplanders managed to survive on the frozen wastelands…..we will adapt.

I have yet to meet any CAGW (catastrophic anthropogenic global warming) supporters who will even read the opposing literature, much less be swayed by reason. It’s the old case of “you can’t reason someone out of a belief they hold for emotional reasons”.
