Ignorant Liberals Need To Go Visit America

It’s always good to occasionally leave deep blue west Los Angeles and visit the United States. When your congressjerk is Ted Lieu, you get a skewed perspective on the country as well as suffer continuous embarrassment. My recent travels through parts of the country that aren’t populated and controlled almost exclusively by liberal nimrods gave me some hope for the future. America as a whole does not appear eager to become Scat Francisco. The problem is the people who want to transform our entire country into a socialist open sewer know nothing of this country outside their reeking pinko enclaves.

It’s a very different country when you get between I-5 and I-95. People are generally nice. They smile and attempt to assist you, even when you display the insanity inherent in your blue homeland. If you go to a restaurant and ask if they have a vegan, gluten-free keto alternative, they try to help you and bring you a glass of water.

I rediscovered biscuits. Biscuits are good.

One thing they try to do is avoid politics, mostly because they have better things to do outside an election year. Politics is a necessary evil to Normal people. Unlike in Santa Monica, you see very few of the fraying Felonia Milhous von Pantsuit 2016 bumper stickers on the back of lime green Priuses. You do see a lot of stickers reflecting an affinity for Jesus or some branch of the military. They like Christians in America, and they like vets. A huge number of people you meet are both. So, America is pretty much hell for the kind of leftist dweebs I’m normally surrounded by.

There was no talk of how guns are awful and how they need to be confiscated. Nor was anyone excited about letting the same folks who couldn’t keep Jeffrey Epstein from gacking himself take over our medical system. No one was upset about the children of criminals who broke our immigration laws crying on camera – Americans understand that if they get picked up for a DUI, MSNBC won’t show up with a crew to videotape their children sobbing.

Those are the kind of elite fetishes you hear advocated on CNN and the places where people watch CNN, like Washington. CNN also plays in airport lounges, but the only political talk I overheard there was generalized contempt for political correctness. There were also complaints about irritating liberal initiatives, like paper straws, signaling generalized discontent with these gratuitous policy pokes at the Normal people liberals seem determined to improve or, if that doesn’t work, eliminate.

That’s not to say that there are no activated, aggressive folks out there. There are. I spoke to a great conservative group in New Orleans and found, as I do in other places where I talk to Republicans, that they are intensely woke and intensely up for a fight. The Jeb! crew of country club cons has abandoned ship, and any mention of sleazy geebos like Lose Boat Cap’n Bill Kristol draws howls of utter contempt (and a chorus of “Ahoys”). The base is all in on Donald Trump; no Fredocons need apply. If you want a surefire applause line, roast some squishy simp like Candy Crowley’s vinyl-clad gimp Mitt Romney and the crowd goes wild. We’re never going back to failure as usual.

There were some interesting revelations along the way. I visited the Schlichter hometown of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, where the first of us ended up in about 1750, probably after being kicked out of Germany for being too real. I was last there back in 2010 between toga parties at the nearby Army War College, and it was a wreck. The businesses were boarded up on the main drag, and everyone in the neighborhood my dad grew up in was sipping on a 40 and looked like Eminem.

It was a stark portrait of the collapse of rural America. So, coming back in 2019, I resolved to keep the windows up and drive fast, except it wasn’t a disaster in 2019. It was vibrant and clean. There were no degenerates wandering the streets. It wasn’t fancy, but on the surface at least, it no longer looked like a petri dish of middle American pathologies. I did not expect that; I expected to practically smell the opioids. Maybe having a president who gives a damn about people who don’t live in Brooklyn makes a difference.

History is not a hypothetical there. John Brown did some of the planning for the raid on Harper’s Ferry in C-Burg, and the Democrats burned it twice in the first civil war they provoked. Just up the road is Gettysburg, and visiting that battlefield with my grandmother (who had met veterans of that war) was one of my earliest memories. The problem is that this real American history, if it was ever learned by them, has been forgotten by the liberal dummies who need to learn it the most.

The battlefield was full of visitors, but these were almost all Normals. The same was true at Mt. Vernon and Arlington – a whole bunch of middle American folks and very few hipsters or liberals. How could I tell? You can tell. You saw families and a lot of vets, and not a lot of people who don’t look like they can do push-ups wearing t-shirts for obscure bands while their gender-indeterminate partner wears a kitty hat.

At Little Round Top and the Angle, you stand on patches of ground where bodies piled up because Americans could not resolve their differences in any other way than with bayonets and Minié balls. That’s true American history, not the garbage propaganda the elite tries to feed us to undermine the moral basis of our country and thereby justify their fundamental transformation of it into a socialist dictatorship with them in charge, of course.

Americans are thirsty for their heritage. They flock to it. And liberals, at best, ignore it and its lessons when they are not actively trying to erase it. The New York Times has promised a series of essays dedicated to show that slavery was the entirety of America’s foundation, but that’s a lie designed to create a kind of original sin they can exploit for their own advantage today. It’s weaponized history. My family didn’t have slaves – they carved a farm out of wilderness. The vast majority of people didn’t have slaves. And if you think there will be some sort of acknowledgement of what those men did to end slavery at Devil’s Den or Culp’s Hill, I’ve got a unicorn named Chet for sale cheap.

But liberals will gobble it up while regular Americans will continue actually going to where history happened and learning the truth. The gulf will widen between red and blue, and that’s bad because when you learn fake history you do not learn to avoid the mistakes of the past. And the Democrats made some whoppers like, well, starting the Civil War comes to mind.

Locked up in their largely child-free urban playgrounds, our garbage elite is utterly unaware of the real America and of real Americans themselves. And it is dangerously unaware of – even actively hostile to – our true history. There are lessons there they need to learn as they continue to bully and provoke the mass of Americans who just wish to be left alone. Anyone who causally suggests confiscating millions of weapons from millions of American patriots and who has not walked through Lexington and Concord is a fool. And, sadly, our blue elite is full of fools.

For a look at what happens if the left wins, check out my action-packed yet hilarious novels about the United States’ split into red and blue countries, People’s Republic, Indian Country and Wildfire. The Never Trump losers tried to label them “Appalling” for refusing to submit to the liberal narrative in return for pats on the head, so you know they’re good.

I drive past the cemetary that houses three members of my family who died at gettysburg most days. If they had known what they were fighting for, i doubt they would have gone. The rest who died during that war are buried at the mountain home, who made it back. Three more lie in unmarked graves never made it home. Ostensibly to free the negro, who the living avoid like the plague.

Constantly, unfortunately they died for tariffs(taxes)and control of the south’s resources, that’s it.The northern mill owners had slaves, children working 7 days a week in shoe factories ect. and actually were also housed there/the Irish coming over were immediately drafted into the disunion army off the boats/and they died for a govt. that could not stand the idea of folks declaring freedom from said govt.

The war of succession is a lesson the country seems to forget, very dangerous.

On a side note,I am in no way disparaging your relatives or the millions of others who fought,as always, they were just used as disposable pawns.

Folks from the south have explained it to me. It was about taxes. Contrary to what the media and what our education system teaches not everyone supported slavery. Many southerners were Christians and were against slavery. I figure the Irish and Chinese and Mexicans were other groups used like slaves. Try not paying taxes.

yahsure: I believe that the War of Northern Agression started in 1828 with the passing of the Tariffs of Abominations. South Carolina was on the bring of secession shortly thereafter. Most northerners were not abolitionist, but were immediatists: Meaning they wanted the blacks removed from the US and sent to either Africa (see also Liberia) or to Central America. The idea that the north was in the war that they started was actually for freeing slaves was started as an enlistment campaign in 1863. Between the emancipation proclamation (applies to Southern States in rebellion, where the Union had no jurisdiction!) and the Draft Riots in New York, 1863.

The War of Northern Aggression was about restore control over the South, not about freeing anyone. See also how the United States went from plural to singular.

Cheers

Kurt is, hands down, the best single writer on TBP. Full disclosure. My great-grandfather, a non-slave owner but surely a Democrat, was a South Carolinian member of the 37th Virginia Cavalry Battalion. It was his unit that obeyed the order to burn down Chambersburg in retaliation for the ravaging of the Shenandoah Valley by Union forces. I am sure Kurt and I could argue about events 150 years ago but there is no air between us about the situation we are in right now. Like Kurt, I live in a place with a liberal Democrat congress critter, although, thank God, the state is in the hands of a tough conservative and the liberals have to mainly keep their ugly heads down. We are indeed building towards a violent confrontation. it is dangerous to make predictions but I will make an exception. The Communists are going to get a whipping so brutal their descendants down to the seventh generation will slit their own throats before they dare to try it again. Thanks, Kurt, for another great article.

Let’s explore that a little bit, BTW my ancestors served in the 4th Florida (not sure they did much but they did serve). We, freedom-loving patriots, assume that because we have a martial history, we have guns, we love the outdoors that we will simply annihilate the Commies.

I am not so sure that there are really that many of us left (though 3% was enough in the Revolution). We also have a very strong bias against “breaking the law” and responding first….its not just our way to proactively go on the attack.

Unfortunately, the Commies/Progressives have “cottoned” onto this concept and so we get the incremental death by 1000 cuts with no clear threat that justifies an active response.

Where is the red line? Gun confiscation seems to be popular…..OK, so if a Dem gets elected in 2020 and pushes through a new “assault weapons ban”….is that a red line that launches a civil war? I doubt it….see how that works.

The truth of the parable of the slowly boiled frog is that by the time the frog does react….it is far too late he is cooked!

Many countries have been lost this way……why are we going to be different?

I would like to think we are, and I hope you are correct but my confidence level is not nearly as high as yours.

I’m glad to say I can see an error in part of you’re logic. The 2016 election is good reason to hope there’s a large number of us out there. In fact I think you’re falling prey to MSM propaganda a little bit. You’re not in some tiny majority in you’re view points.

You are well supported across the country. I live in Western Washington State, a bastion liberalism, and I personally know dozens and dozens libertarian and conservatives. The hunting and fishing groups do very well. In fact not 20 miles from here a citizen carrying a pistol stopped an armed robbery at a gas station and no one was hurt. That was just last week. Even in this state it’s important to keep in mind 4 out of every 10 people still voted for Trump.

When it comes to 2A and guns, the problems will start when citizen are forced to do deal with the police. It’s hard to risk your life and that of your family because you can’t go buy a type of gun. But, when somebody comes to take something from you, you have an immediate and clear point of resistance.

I think the last thing is you may not be factoring in is liberals aren’t very good at actually doing anything. They are mostly idea and feelings people and work in trades that allow that. I think the natural order of the lefts way of thinking is inherently self destructive, and “in a vacuum” would destroy itself anyway. You can see the dominoes falling already, Trans rights vs Feminists, Pelosi vs the squad, Omah vs Bill Maher, it’s just an ever more exclusive group of “victims” rising to the top and always needing someone to blame.

I appreciate the comments and I agree for the most part. My concern is that voting is a losing strategy when the other side does not give a shit about following the “rules” or laws. Kind of like a boxing match….we are using 12oz gloves, they are using 8oz gloves with a roll of quarters…..Yes the election of Trump shows the USA is not yet lost but how has that worked out so far?

Trump has not been permitted to govern…the Dems/DeepState would simply not accept their “loss” in the election so the soft coup occurred and the judiciary has made absurd rulings and the administrative state has simply refused to comply with his executive decisions.

M H Good observation regarding the boiling frog. Progressives have long used the “silent artillery of time” to get what they want. They are constantly pressing forward and as soon as an objective is met, they start their next assault. Note how fast they pivoted to trans “rights” as soon as Obergefell came down.

I think the new progressives believed that the election of Barry Soetoro indicated their time had finally come and being told the election of Hi LIAR y as his successor was guaranteed, they lost their minds (as such they have/had) when Trump won. If Trump is reelected, I fully expect them to go fully unhinged, unleashing pure hell in the cities and as the cities burn, the gangs will venture out into free America where they will face a great resistance.

LEO’s will not want to be in the middle of the fight and will retreat to protect their families. The question remains as to where the military will come down. In my gut, I think the officers (O1 – O5) and non-comm’s will stand with the people and the Constitution and if they do, it will be over quickly. If not, the United States will become the Balkans with 50 MILLION armed resisters.

I am old and do not fear the fight, but I do worry about my grand-kids and great grand-kids. I want them to know freedom or at least some semblance of it.

If LA is so bad and rural America is so great, why does Schlichter live in Los Angeles?

I’m not arguing in favor of L.A. or blue states generally, but it’s an obvious question. Has he ever answered it?

Our move here to the Ozarks was precipitated by the Murrah Building bombing in Oklahoma City.

We saw man’s inhumanity to man from an angry young man, a so-called disgruntled soldier(cia?) Intent on exposing our corrupt government in what he claimed to be a warning.

Was it?

It felt like it to me. I heard the rumble on a 9 a.m. smoke break at OU. I stood in my next class at 9:15, ironically Intro to News lecture hall, and interrupted to ask WTF?

The old professor “Mac” answer was shocking. I had an appointment with the VA representative in the Murrah Bldg next week. That was my first thought.

My next thought was the cute play equipment in the area of the daycare there onsite.

My son was Bailey Almond’s age. The baby the fireman carried.

Urban life sent me a personal warning that day.

We focused on finding a better way and timed our move here fairly well. Bumps and setbacks happen.

It is better, but how long?

Today the cattle rancher who bales our hay is insulating our barn. Quid pro quo. Five years to assimilate into a like-minded community. In case you wonder. It is quite doable.

God has been especially good. Sure it is Poppa. Dad is probably still talking it up in Purgatory. With the other thieves working off their crimes.

OKC in ’95 was an HW’s minions op. The boxes of accumulated documents in the Whitewater investigation against hillary and hubble were being stored there, that week, while on their way to DC. Convenient.
Don’t believe it? Just ask FOIA.

They do not want to talk about it because it was a botched sting operation. It was “the whole package.” Christian Identity, Skinhead neo Nazis, Muzzies, plus FBI informants inside the skinhead group. All tied up in a neat little package except McVeigh found the tracking device and put it on a different vehicle and drove the famous Ryder truck right up front and parked it. A big ass enhanced ANFO bomb. Talk about Hell On Wheels.

The Manhattan project: Century 21

It’s a promise made to humanity like we did to end the war, but we’re not finished w/that. Patton said to end the war in Tokyo VIA Moscow. he was ignored, then murdered by them.
Here we are. We WILL finish this job! That is a promise I intend to keep to my grandparents.

I had family on both sides of that damn war.
One part said it was to fight the Yankee Invasion.
The other said it was to save the Union.
No mention of slaves. Because neither had any.
Family had already ended that because of what TJ had written in the Declaration.
I never considered who was Right or Wrong. That was a Decision made by them. Some died in The Battles of Vicksburg, Corinth, Atlanta,Gettysburg and others.
The ones that survived if you can call it that had to live through further de-Reconsrtuction. But they were still kin folk and some made they’re way Texas. Where I hail from. Now Arizona.
But, I’m here to tell ya. If’in them Democrats want’s another Dust-up. Well My Kin is all Republican now and they’re welcome to another go at it.

I knew when I was 14 (serious Civil War buff from 10 on) I was going to spend my life in the Deep South, and after a couple of visits in the 70’s I moved to it for good in 84…I was home.

I was born in Pennsylvania, raised in New Jersey and grew up in Nam, but the South is my heart and home and culture. (And I look and sound like I should be on the Sopranos).

Here are some good reads:

I resent being forced to choose an evil. But the ones who prevent logical, thoughtful people from making it through the primaries are going to get it, good and hard.
You cannot depend on two entrenched political parties to provide the leadership necessary to root out the evil from amongst us. Only We The People can do it, and it’s going to be up to us to do it. One by one, our personal “gag reflex” is going to force us to root out the evil ones, and burn them, leaf and branch and root, out of our societies.
Hong Kong wants us to invade and save them; that’s not how it works. We would mess it up worse than they would; they will have to recognize and eliminate the evil amongst them by themselves. We need to do the same, and maybe Nov 2016 was the first step.
Recognition of evil and steps to reject it used to be taught in schools. Now it’s “moral relativism”, and chaos. The changes needed will come, or it will collapse completely and be rebuilt in blood and suffering. I’m up for the realizations, whichever way they come.
