The Biggest Empires In Human History

Via ZeroHedge

In 1913, 412 million people lived under the control of the British Empire, 23 percent of the world’s population at that time. As Statista’s Niall McCarthy notes, it remains the largest empire in human history and at the peak of its power in 1920, it covered an astonishing 13.71 million square miles – that’s close to a quarter of the world’s land area.

At its height, it was described as “the empire on which the sun never sets” but of course the sun finally did set on it.

Today, Britannia no longer rules the waves and its remnants consist of 17 small dependent and unincorporated territories scattered across the world such as the Falkland Islands and Gibraltar.

The Mongol Empire existed during the 13th and 14th centuries and it is recognized as being the largest contiguous land empire in history. It of course originated in Mongolia and once stretched from Eastern Europe to the Sea of Japan, extending into the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East, covering 9.27 million square miles.

The Russian Empire comes third on the list with a peak land area of 8.8 million square miles.

Sure, lets’s all go along with the quackademics and pretend human civilizations didn’exist until 6 thousand years ago.

The English gave the world the English language (one of the richest), modern democracy, English common law, railway systems and a wealth of technologies. Most of their colonies were relinquished not because they’d been lost in war but because their subjects asked for – and were quickly granted – independence. A strong case can be made that they’re the greatest country the world has ever known.

The US Empire has troops staged in 750+ bases in 150+ countries. The CIA and other hired mercenaries, along with the global banking cabal, directly influence the policies, and the outcome of elections, in virtually ALL of them. While the British Empire may have been “larger” from the stand point of what they openly claimed “control” of, the US Empire is vastly larger in both size and control where it really matters….but that is all coming to an end.

And now, unfortunately, the British are having to deal with the very bad karma of after-empire:

– Sadiq Khan, mayor of Londonistan;
– Muslim grooming gangs all over the country;
– Diane Abbott and the African vibrancy –

…among a myriad of other awful and painful consequences.

Enoch Powell was right.

The fact that every low-life from their “colonies” can move freely throughout the commonwealth has also allowed a massive infestation of Canada (and Britain) of folks who otherwise would never have thought of leaving their third world shithole of a country. Sure, it has meant productive citizens and really great Chinese food from all the ones who came from Hong Kong, but the Caribbean and African colonies have not “contributed” as positively, that’s for sure.

Here in S.E. Asia powerful countries have competed viciously over the abundant resources from the time at the end of the fifteenth century when Vasco de Gama discovered the ocean route to India from Europe. Over the next few hundred years all the naval powers took part in addition to the Portuguese. The British, Dutch and French were later joined by the Italians and eventually the Germans and Americans.

My adopted country was the only country of significance that was not colonized, despite determined efforts from several nations, achieved by some impressive diplomacy supported by an influential Chinese community that dominated commerce, and that still does today via Thai/Chinese families that go back many generations.

If you look hard it is possible to see the British influence on the education and transport systems, the Italian in public architecture and the German on the legal system. The Chinese influence has waxed and waned and is currently on a big upswing. Just a few miles from my home, as part of the belt and road initiative, the high speed rail link that will ultimately connect China to Singapore is under construction at an amazingly fast pace, replacing the old line built during the peak of British influence in the region. I think of California’s pathetic dabbling with high speed rail and shake my head every time I cross the new line to get to town.

If you read the comments of these two about some of the organizations they list, it is clear that these two are apologists for tyranny in so many forms. They clearly love the Patriot Act without question, love Israel and all the “wonderful things” they are doing to the Palestinians, clearly applaud without question, all of the wonderful things our soldiers have done to so many thousands of innocents in the middle east, are clearly happy with the destruction of due process and oppose anyone who works to expose the criminal federal government and their behavior……Not that Soros isn’t the lowest form of life on the planet, and is clearly using his money to destroy this country. In many ways, the good organizations on the list (there are a few), may very well be changing into lousy ones because of his financial influence.
