Galaxies rotate around their center. Our sun is on the Orion arm and therefore moves with it. As the galaxy rotates, the sun moves in somewhat of a circular path around the galactic center. The planets are gravitationally captive to our sun and so they also move. The planets motions form a spiral when viewed from an external frame of reference which is what the animation showed.
Why not try reading a non fiction book some time.

While SAO is pronounced “ASS”, on this minor point, well he actually has one. Observed with an external frame of reference one can make the case that we are “spiraling” around the sun….if you make the assumption that the sun’s motion is linear…..as is shown in the video…..which, of course, it isn’t but not completely crazy SAO.
And our galaxy is moving through the universe.. Linearly or not, it all depends on the point of reference and whether THAT is moving with respect to … Oh, wow, totally cosmic, man… (sarcasm, duh)

Indeed, if the solar system is also moving, then from a fixed position in space, the motion of the planets around the sun would indeed look a bit like a pinwheel. But the sun is NOT a comet and does not have a tail, and the motion would also be relative, and a circumnavigation of a planet that takes a year (or the others that take much, much longer, would be barely perceptible by an observer as well.

Hypothesis : a tentative assumption made in order to draw out and test its logical or empirical consequences
is what people mean when they misuse the word theory.
Since light has been proven to be both a wave and a particle (but not both at the same time) the “wave theory of light” is not the best thing to use as an example.
I think I’ve seen the term “acts as both” wave and particle. But, I’m not being snarky, just trying to help.
It is the conundrum of black hole behavior that causes most to believe it is particulate matter of some sort.

I cut and pasted from Merriam Webster but I take your point. There is good scientific work for both the wave and particle explanations. When you get to the quantum level things can get spooky.
I love when scientists talk about something spectacular they observed that is 25,000 light years away. In fact, what they observed occurred 25,000 years ago.
Here is some fresh meat for the discussion. If we don’t like how the sun is moving through space (whatever that REALLY means), then we just create one of these dohickeys. Unfortunately, the “climate change” folks tell us we only have 12 years left. Who knows, maybe Captain Obvious is already working on one of these?
