No matter what history accounts of the different peoples of the world, they all trace back to the Garden….counterfeit attributes and little ‘g’ false gods abound:

“For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.” Ecc. 1:18

For those of us that continue to peel back the onion it is so true. There are times when I wish my head was once again buried in the sand. Ringing the bell of what is to eventually come has gotten me nothing but frustration and I’m sure a lot of talk behind my back. Many do not want to know because it is too painful to think about. Others just don’t have the capacity, or the desire, to look beyond the 1st level thinker. Trying to form a group of like-minded individuals has proven to be near impossible for many reasons.

There are many who have ears and cannot see, ditto for eyes that don’t want to see. I sometimes feel like Cassandra but I no longer frustrate myself with trying to get people to see…..maybe I’m wrong?

I think bringing people up to speed, that broach the subject, is the way to proceed. At least IMHO.
The preacher at my fairly large church used to do prophecy sermons and talk about current events that are moving us towards the end of days. He stopped all of this about a year or so ago. Last week at a Men’s breakfast I asked one of the elders/deacons why this was so. He told me that he got too many complaints and pushback from a percentage of the congregation that did not want to hear it. Cognitive dissonance and normalcy bias, beyond the 1st level thinkers. The body count is really going to be high when the time comes.

” …. got too many complaints and pushback from a percentage of the congregation that did not want to hear it. ”

Denying reality does not remove you from the results of denying reality.

I hear the same from people – “well, I can’t do anything about what is going on so I don’t even want to know about it.” I liken the current situation in the world to living in a valley downstream from a large dam with a large lake behind it, and I see cracks forming in the dam holding back this immense amount of water. I do not know WHEN, but it seems reasonable that at some point as the dam keeps cracking that it will fail eventually and the lake will flood the valley where we are living. I point this out to people, and since we can’t fix the failing dam, they don’t want to know about it. Me? I think I’ll maybe go live up on the hillside somewhere so that when things break, I’m not swept away with all those that refused to acknowledge what was occurring and did not take steps to protect themselves. Maybe it won’t fail in my lifetime, so then I’ll be viewed as a fool to have moved up on that bare hillside instead of staying in the valley with everyone else. Time will tell…….

Brewer55..

I gotta do a little more than just an up vote.

“For those of us that continue to peel back the onion it is so true.” and “Ringing the bell of what is to eventually come has gotten me nothing but frustration and I’m sure a lot of talk behind my back.”

Amending the second sentence to “Ringing the bell of WHO IS to eventually come…”

Born, raised, never miss a Sunday service Lutheran since the Fatherland, my dad was taken on 7-21-99 despite 21 months of constant pleas and prayer and demands………off I went to ‘understand why’.

To this day, I sleep a little, do the necessary chores, and delve back into the Word…..many days 18-20 hrs. It’s a big onion, and I happen stance upon the ‘flat earth theory’, with Biblical exegesis. And, with Biblical exegesis, I have been firmly encamped in the heliocentric theory.

Constantly revealing another layer, I learned in the following video, that my understanding of the symbol of an all seeing eye had not even considered the opinion as expressed in the first 15 min. of this video. I maintain my interpretations as to the represented entity behind our government leaders is the one who is the present ruler of this planet.

annuit coeptis novus ordo seclorum <<——-==

The 'dispensation' that GCP offers cuts to the ultimate condition/age that mankind is in, and how the "I AM THAT I AM" has, and will, reconcile all of Creation to Himself.

That said, I only hold slight variance of understanding on peripheral issues from the main core of the message contained in Scripture—Jesus Christ.

No one watches three hour documentaries, I've watched dozens and dozens. The people here are so well read, when the main books I've read besides a KJB again and again, number in less than a dozen.

ordo, I must confess that even I have a limit on how much I embrace of what some see as truth. I realize that there is a contingent of Christians, and those outside the faith, that buy into a flat earth theory. I can’t go the far. I just don’t buy it. And, even if so, it matters not. I am a bible believing, Jesus following, Christian. There are people much smarter than me that will argue on the flat earth theory, pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib and pre-wrath rapture, etc. Beyond salvation issues, I think this can be a big time sucker/waster and divide the Christian base. I think we need to be more about divesting ourselves of false pride/hubris and many of the other sins that ail the “old man” in those of us that are born new in the Spirit but, are still bound to these bodies of sin. Anyway, I’ll get off of my soapbox now.

My aunt wrote quotes on parchment paper, oil-toned them and sold them for a few dollars at arts and craft shows along the east coast in the 1970s. She also sold “quotes” by Edgar Cayce to the little gift shop in the EC Foundation in Virgina Beach (I think… it was on the shore there). I had the honor of visiting the meditation room there facing the ocean on a visit with her.

She told me she had no problem with writing Edgar Cayce’s quotes on parchment and making them look pretty for them but there was not one thing the man said she’d not seen in the King James Bible just worded a little differently.

But, nobody was paying her a dollar a page for Bible Scriptures.
