U.S.—Parents across the nation have expressed their worry, fear, and shock at having to raise their own children now that government schools have temporarily shut down.
Those who send their children to public schools registered their displeasure at the government for not doing its main job of indoctrinating their children, even temporarily.
“Raise, educate, and parent my children?” said one exasperated mother as her teen sat at home, bored and with nothing to do. “But that’s the government’s job! What am I supposed to do? Teach them things? Instill them with my values? Train them up in the way that they should go?”
“Honestly, if this keeps up, I’m going to move to a different country where I can count on the government to parent my children. This is ridiculous.”
Luckily, parents quickly discovered they could just do what they usually do when their kids get home from school and let them lock themselves in their rooms with unfettered access to the internet, a wonderful place where nothing bad ever happens.

So a couple of states have shut down all schools completely. No consideration for the key DAY CARE ROLE the K-12 indoctrination centers play in the lives of their useless parents. How dare the government think only of themselves and their desperate need to be seen as “doing something” in the face of this crisis.
I always get a yuge chuckle when hearing the term “teacher work day”.
Indeed, dissecting that phrase yields only one result – they don’t work any other day.
If you’re not working and still have a home I guess homeschooling is great. At least your kids won’t be bringing home the plague from all the other snotty sick kids whose parents use the school as a daycare system. I am hoping to make it to the end of the school year with my kids still being in school. The end of May. I was even thinking about churches and all those people together as a bad idea also.

Sometimes both parents have to work to keep a roof over their heads and keep their children fed. Why should you insult them?
Yes, schools are indoctrination centers and baby sitters.
Because they’re sick kids make my kids sick and then end up making me sick. It gets really old, fast.
