Why Flattening the Curve is Overrated

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

This entire affair has become a war against Trump. It is no longer about the virus nor is it about what is best for the country. A recent piece in the New York Times talked about Liberty University’s spring break would be over and its president, Jerry Falwell Jr., spoke with the physician who runs Liberty’s student health service. Dr, Eppes replied: “We’ve lost the ability to corral this thing.” He did not urge Falwell to close the school. “I just am not going to be so presumptuous as to say, ‘This is what you should do and this is what you shouldn’t do.’”

The New York Time then reports that Mr. Falwell is a “staunch ally of President Trump and an influential voice in the evangelical world.” When anyone disagrees with the panic they are being deliberately mocked. The media is in full swing to take down Trump. Anyone who dares to disagree with their position to shut down the world economy is being blocked as Twitter has done with the President of Brazil who was urging people to return to work.

This is becoming an all out coup. Freedom of speech is suppressed and anyone who dares to disagree with the left is isolated, hated, and mocked. The world these people are creating will be very dark indeed. They are encouraging civil war at every turn. People cannot be locked down. Already people are starting to rob stores, break-in and looting food in Italy, and we are just getting started.

In England, you are only allowed outside your house once. Neighbors are encouraged to report on each other exactly as they did behind the Berlin Wall. One of our readers who lives in a wealthy suburb of London reports that a neighbor’s house where they are not there has been looted three times. The police finally arrive two days after the third time and said bad luck.

What the press is doing to society this time around just to defeat Trump and right is not only casting us into a new age of totalitarianism, but we are not coming out of this in any possible way where it will be a return to business as usual. The press is aiding and abetting the overthrow of democracy all to desperately change the balance of power.

Many people didn’t like the forecast that China would supplant the United States as the next financial capital of the world. Some emails were outright nasty. I do not think it takes that much imagination to see why Socrates will be correct. The West is committing economic suicide. Asia is returning to normal as quickly as possible. We are engulfed in the collapse of socialism and governments conspiring to eliminate paper currencies, seize all assets including cryptocurrencies, and force everyone into their digital currencies to ensure 100% control of our financial lives.

Remember all the times the chorus sang “It’s all Obama’s fault”?

Me neither.

Sounds like this guy has been co-opted as well. All of a sudden trumpie is the good guy? As we bicker back and forth and cling to our political beliefs … the Fed is staging a coup in the capital markets buying everything in sight with your money. We have rulers . trumpie is merely the latest political pawn exacting their instructions on us peons. Little has changed since the pyramids.

“the Fed is staging a coup in the capital markets buying everything in sight with your money”

well in truth they only own what a controlling plurality of the cattle support them owning. if they can’t buy that support then they own nothing.

So many on this site are obsessed with government tyranny, and are ignoring the real danger, which is societal breakdown. Ask yourself if you would rather put up with temporary government lock downs, or roving gangs killing and pillaging at will. At times like these, it is governments job to keep the cattle from stampeding, and they may need to put them in a corral to do that……

Jdog, What about those of us who know that the most vicious, difficult to beat gangs that rove about pillaging are wearing government uniforms? I have a lot more confidence in the common sense and good will of my neighbors and associates than I do in police forces, courts, legislative bodies, etc. After what we have seen just in the past few weeks, I don’t know why anyone has any confidence in the government.

I don’t know about you, but I am not cattle, and won’t be put in a corral. They will load you down the chute, through the gate to the killing floor if you give them the chance. No civilian gang will seek to pull that on people.

Brian, how many cattle are in the age 20-30 bracket, do you suppose?

You are paranoid. I am no fan of government, and wish there was much less of it, but having worked disasters in the past, I can tell you people do panic, and you have a much higher chance of being a victim of looters or gangs in a societal breakdown than the government dystopia. All it took was a hurricane to turn New Orleans into Beirut. In Europe they are already seeing signs of societal breakdown as people are attacked for their groceries leaving stores. We have certain elements of our society that riot and loot any time they are given opportunity to do so. I have little faith in my fellow man, and even less in government, but I am rational enough to understand that government wants to keep the status quo, not murder the people who pay the taxes, or destroy the economy that makes their cushy life possible.

“the real danger, which is societal breakdown”

well many here are blind to people as such. they don’t really see “society”, they see themselves, and for them that’s enough – everyone else is an irritant. as for the roving gangs, many here see themselves as just stepping out onto the street and shooting down the hapless passive targets, one shot one kill, then relaxing with a fifth while contemplating how stupid everyone else is.

“government tyranny”

they’ll say they hate that, but what really bothers them is other people.

Admin,
Armstrong had this internal link which is a must read on the math of the virus spreading which is a really important work. Your screen grab wiped it , but it is really well done, worth a separate post maybe.
Now that the FDA has given the green light to using HYDROXYchloroquine, AND big pharma is going flat out to distribute stock, and ramp production the media and other responses, like Cuomo in N.Y. will be laid out on the talk shows tonight I think.

Hydroxychloraquine-induced acute psychotic disorder in a female patient with rheumatoid arthritis: a case report

A great variety of psychiatric side effects, such as mania, depression, visual and auditory hallucinations, delusions of persecution/grandiosity, agitation, suicidal ideation/suicide, and insomnia have been reported due to chloroquine use. These adverse events are dose-independent and may appear approximately within 2 hours or 40 days.

If you don’t die from CV, with HCQ, you may have the opportunity to kill yourself.
