BEAVERTOOTH, OR—In a viral video posted to social media earlier this week, Grant Elementary School teacher Ellen Binkowski warned her followers that homeschooling is making kids “more stupider.”
“The children aren’t learning how to read good, they’re not learning how to do the plussing and minusing, and they ain’t doin’ them colors very good,” she said in the video that went viral on Facebook and Twitter.
Binkowski’s concerns have been echoed by other teachers across the country, who are worried that as kids stay home, their knowledge and abilities will deteriorate. Incensed teachers commented on her video, writing things like “Our students are loosing they’re knowledge” and “For all intensive purposes all these kids are getting more and more dumber.”
The teachers have begun an online petition calling for schools to reopen and a #PublicSchoolsAreBetterThenHomeschools hashtag.
“We need to do gooder for our childrens,” Binkowski concluded.

Quite a few kids in my neighborhood have been doing sidewalk art with their special chalk sticks. Not only is the are pretty, the messages are uplifting. Wondering how many of them are home schooled?

Many years ago we were visiting the public school on orientation day where our daughter would attend . My wife and I actually did our research a year earlier than necessary , it was a good thing too !
In the opening speech of the skoo adminastrataaaa :”every chiles achievesment Be impotent to da staff . As she went on speaking riddled with Ebonics I whispered to my wife “we are fucking done here”, she just nodded and we left at our first opportunity !
Fast forward at midnight on a Friday night I was number 2 in line at a local top rated Catholic school for 32 openings first come first serve . This fast tracked her to a prestigious Catholic High School and eventually colleges making offers of acceptance . She is a BSN/RN now working in a world renowned hospital in Baltimore .
