YouTube has censored a viral video in which two doctors criticized the logic of whether California’s stay-at-home coronavirus order is necessary.
The video, which had racked up over 5 million views, featured Dr. Dan Erickson and Dr. Artin Massihi, co-owners of Accelerated Urgent Care in Bakersfield, Calif.
In the clip, Erickson asserts that there is only a “0.03 chance of dying from COVID in the state of California,” prompting him to ask:
“Does that necessitate sheltering in place? Does that necessitate shutting down medical systems? Does that necessitate people being out of work?”
Erickson also asked why fatalities were being counted as COVID-19 deaths when other ailments were actually more to blame.
“When someone dies in this country right now, they’re not talking about the high blood pressure, the diabetes, the stroke. They’re saying ‘Did they die from COVID?’” Erickson said.
“We’ve been to hundreds of autopsies. You don’t talk about one thing, you talk about comorbidities. ER doctors now [say] ‘It’s interesting when I’m writing about my death report, I’m being pressured to add COVID. Why is that?”
The video was deleted late last night for “violating YouTube’s terms of service.”

Earlier this month, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki told CNN that the company would ban any video content that contradicted World Health Organization recommendations.
However, Wojcicki suggested that this would mainly be focused on banning information about fake cures, not questioning of government policy.
The video platform has also set about banning any content that claims 5G cell towers are linked to the coronavirus outbreak.
During an appearance on Fox News last night, Dr. Erickson pointed to Sweden, which didn’t impose any drastic lockdown measures, but now has achieved herd immunity against coronavirus.
“And if you look at their numbers: 200 deaths per million compared to ours, [which is] about the same. Italy’s [is] about 400 per million and Spain is about 400 per million, so we are looking at this going, ‘OK, they took a completely different approach and their results are basically the same,’” said Erickson.

We no longer need government to control us when the Nazis of the internet do such a fine job. Why do so many continue to lick the boot that kicks us by participating in Facebook and their ilk?
I have also seen where government agencies have been demanding social media passwords in conjunction with applications for things like gun permits and purchases etc. They act like you are a liar if you tell them you don’t do that garbage. I am continuously amazed at how much personal information fools put on these sites.
The large social media and other tech firms get to decide what’s true and what isn’t. They claim the high ground while relying on advertising for their revenue.
Advertising is professional lying. Advertising is pandering to the most basic human instincts, usually involving half naked women. It’s designed to be deceptive by telling half truths and using slight of hand (boobs actually) to distract the viewer.
What we need are some rules that prohibit lying to the public about products and services. That includes deceptive advertising featuring overpaid Hollywood types to try to convince Boobus Americanus to buy this or that. If advertising were restricted to only stating specifics about a product or service ad revenue would dry up because the difference between most products is how naked or famous the presenter is.
With reduced advertising revenue, these sites wouldn’t have nearly the strength they have today. Having the worlds most professional prevaricators in charge of truth telling shows you how far down the slippery slope we really are.
And who will be in charge of the “truth”?
Perhaps a better idea is for all of us to engage in critical thinking, encourage it in our families and figure out ways to teach it to our children. Public schools are the enemy of critical thinking and the purveyors of propaganda.
Another “novel” idea is to get off of social media. Subscribers feed the beast.
My post didn’t cover who should be in charge of the truth as I assume everyone with any sense will determine that for themselves and truth to one is not necessarily truth to someone else.
My post covered the continuous stream of lying that is euphemistically called ‘adverting’ and provides the revenue stream to propagandize the public continuously.

I don’t disagree that this sounds like a great idea, but the problem is that the kind of people who should abide by these rules, are exactly the kind of people who don’t pay any attention to other’s rules in the first place. So you have to invert this — we need to learn our own rules and live by them, so that we are in a better place to recognize the lies around us — including the lies we want to tell ourselves. We have to become better human beings, individually. Yeah, it’s hard work and it sucks, but it’s the only thing that consistently works over time.
There already are laws against fraud. And fraud is a real crime with a real victim. We don’t need anyone else stepping in a pretending to be our “savior.”
Actually, we used to have a modicum of such rules, in the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. They began to be eroded in the 80’s and disappeared totally in the 00’s.
Whenever people start getting too close to the truth they shut them down. These petty tyrants at YouTube, Facebook, Twitter et al need to be taken down.

if anyone bought into these doctors’ line of reasoning, Chris Martenson tore apart the logical fallacies in their “extrapolations” last night.
Chris has been the best to critically analyze the info about the pandemic, leaving all politics out of the equation. He’s doing so much better than the bullshit ‘journalists’ from either Fox News or NPR.
He has been right every step of the way, and even when new data comes out that qualifies or contradicts yesterday’s data, he isn’t afraid to let the new EMPIRICAL DATA dictate revised conclusions.
Not more Martenson.

I listened to Martenson for a while. Then I came to my senses. I got the distinct feeling that he doesn’t like being wrong. He can manipulate data as well as anybody.
I’m looking at it like this…there are doctors all over the place, from a lot of countries saying the same exact thing that these two doctors are saying, and they got censored. Is your guy Chris Martenson getting censored? No? That alone tells me everything I need to know right there. The people I tend to see getting censored are the people that go against the government/democrat/progressive grain. They are the people that tend to tell the truth about voter fraud, gun rights, abortion, and now corona/covid. What I don’t see is the people lying about these thing getting censored, or the people , for example, like muslims, pushing hate and death to America, getting censored, but then you get someone like ‘Educating Liberals’ that wishes harm on no one, but throws a bit of humor in his political rants, and is heavy on the conservative side, and he gets banned from Twitter for life, his only sin is being conservative. This is what I see.
This all being said, when I see a slew of doctors from a multitude of different countries, and just today saw an article with at least 6 different doctors each from a different country all pretty much in agreement with the doctors here, and these guys get censored, and your guy totally disagrees with them, and he does not, that tells me a lot, esp. when your guy is going along with the party line. Bravo for the lockstep, guess there is something to be said for that.

Since The World Trade debacle I’ve made a habit of saving excellent videos that compete with the official narrative. When I’ve gone back to reference these videos or forward to someone to enlighten them I find the video has been deleted due to some BS excuse like it “violated community standards” or “violence”. At this point the the thought of free speech as far as YT is concerned has reached the stage of farce.

I suggest that people watch Chris Martinson’s rebuttal of the “California Doctors” video. It starts at 15:30 in the following video. No matter how good of doctors these two might be they are not epidemiologists or statisticians. They are right that the previous “studies” were highly flawed. But so is their attempt at analyzing the data we have so far. Instead of taking “sides” shouldn’t we be looking at the data and evaluating it properly?

Here is what Chris Martenson is doing.
He is quoting stats on deaths and infections without questioning the underlying motives of those compiling the numbas! I was in Halifax yesterday taking to my investment advisor and he told me that his friend is a Doctor who was forced to sign off on deaths of two individuals who died at Northwood Manor. Both decedents were in advanced stages of Cancer.
But it gets reported as just a couple more COVID deaths and ole Chris is moar than happy log it in the red column all the while sucking it whole..
There are no facts when the news being provided to the likes of Mr. Peak Prosperity is so inaccurate. And for Martenson to then cast aspersions without some introspection of his own says way about him than those two Doctors from California. It just needs to stop..

Actually, he is continuously questioning the numbers, especially out of China, and points out all the declarative statements being made by “journalists” in the MSP based on incomplete data. He has consistently ripped the overblown headlines from both sides that go way too far based on the data.
He is an empiricist, and lets the data inform, while also pointing out the limitations of the data.
No he is not an empiricist. He does not question the official figures. If he did he would be calling NorthWood Manor and reading the autopsy report. Nobody has all the answers and at least Chris usually makes it clear when he doesn’t know and when he is guessing. He says that the sample is self-selecting from those experiencing symptoms. Except that 88% of those tested were NEGATIVE. That is, NOT SICK, or sick from something else.
He says that those tested were “By Definition” those with reason to believe they were positive. This is HIS presumption. He offers no evidence or proof that that’s the case.
But, let’s grant his presumption.
88% OF THOSE TESTED ….. let it sink in … Of those tested, who, according to Martenson were “by definition” most likely to be positive … were in fact, NEGATIVE. That makes these numbers a WORST CASE SCENARIO.
Martenson goes on to say, of extrapolation, that “that’s not the way we do it.”
Actually, that’s EXACTLY the way to do it. **
Of those tested, 88% were NEGATIVE. Thus, if everyone in California were tested, then AT LEAST 88% would be negative.**
Why “at least”? Because that’s what the bias of self-selection of sick people would do. It would bias the results towards MORE people being positive than if you had an unbiased sample.
This asshat claims to have a PhD? In what? Basketweaving? I don’t know of a PhD program that doesn’t require significant understanding and use of statistics, yet Martenson’s argument shows that he is utterly clueless as to the purpose of statistics, much less its application.
He says it’s biased or skewed. If it is, it’s skewed to find many more positives than a perfectly random sampling. In other words 12% is a WORST CASE.**

Cases, positives, negatives … it all assumes a natural spread of the virus. There isn’t any natural spread of the virus because of the lockdowns. There is still spread, but you can’t know what it would have been without lockdowns.
All is skewed by the unknown and unknowable effect of the lockdowns.
