Looking at the kid in the first 5 seconds of the vid, I had the thought that he’s probably a good Republican or Democrat now.
There’s the gold-standard of accepting things ignorantly from age 5 to 105.
But it also seems to me that rebellion too young can result in becoming a model citizen in middle age (either that or death, prison, addiction, homelessness, etc).
It also seems to me (maybe because it’s my story) that buying into the indoctrination when young and later breaking free from it often yields the most beneficial critical-thinking type of person.
Rebelling ignorantly early seems to end up with accepting things ignorantly later in life. On the other hand, accepting things ignorantly early can end up with accepting/rejecting things critically later in life.
