Chicago officials report the city’s highest number of shootings in a single weekend this year. From Friday evening to Monday morning, 102 people were shot, 14 of whom have died, five of those killed were minors.
Several teenagers died in alleys as a result of the rampant weekend violence. A toddler was killed on Saturday evening when he was struck in the back by a bullet as someone fired into his father’s car in Austin, on the West Side of the city.
Two teenage boys were sitting outside on a porch on Saturday evening when once noticed a red laser pointed at him and then gun shots began to ring out. Both were taken to Mount Sinai hospital and are in good condition.
Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown said Sunday that violent offenders should be kept in jail for longer because the home monitoring system is not working.
“Tears are a natural reaction to these tragic stories of violence,” he said.
“But we need to do more than just cry. … For God’s sake, help Chicago cops protect our precious children and our families.”
Brown also said that he and Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot had a conversation over the weekend and that they’re “on the same page,” about the city’s violence and the absolute need for strategic change in approaching the issue.
“Cops are working hard. We’re just chasing our tails,” Brown said.
“It’s shocking that no one monitors people on home monitor.”
The Father’s Day weekend numbers are up considerably from last weekend, when 31 people across the city were shot, and two killed.
Though, two weekends ago, Chicago experienced its deadliest weekend in modern history, as 24 people were killed and 61 others shot.

They talk about it like it’s missing micro chipped chihuahuas not hardened criminals. Truth be told, if 300 pets with chips went missing, the woke army would be out in force demanding animal shelter reform, make no mistake.
Now they LOSE three hundred offenders, and that’s last year’s numbers, so assume twice that many now, and you have a weak-ass statement like “the devil is in the details”?
See, ankle monitoring is a pretty simple premise. You are confined to your home. You cannot leave it. You have a special bracelet around your ankle that is connected to a monitor in your house. If you try to cut off the bracelet, or leave, the police come and get you and you go to jail. Not later, not when they feel like it, or someone notices, but RIGHT FUCKING AWAY.
So there is definitely some major league fuckupery going on here.
1. The program is completely understaffed by people who are supposed to monitor it
2. The monitoring staff maybe is being paid off to look away
3. The equipment is shoddy at best and malfunctioning
4. All of the above
And then there’s this jewel of a statement:

Really. Well I guess if they are lost and never found then yes, they will never be re-arrested. And then the rest who do the right thing and go to court are not the real problem in the first place.

These are the same guys who for years had not one single fooking gun store in their city but spent all their time “outlawing” guns as a solution to gun crime for which Chicago had the lowest percentage of prosecuting of the 90 largest cities in the US. 25 miles down I-88 is Aurora, the second largest city, a minority majority city, which recently went a year and a half without a single murder.
Because Tom Dart, the Sheriff of Cook County and in charge of the jails, is a fucking raging liberal asshole who believes in releasing criminals from jail rather than incarcerating them. This has been going on for years. Cook County is as bad, if not worse, than all the other progressive liberal hell holes in this country.
Oh, and Chicago just got their new affirmative action black police chief a few months ago. Very first thing this asshole says is he’s going to keep the murders under 300 for the year! Guess where they’re at right now?

The irony of it all is that blacks hate guns.
