anyone thinking about going to college should take Mike Rowe’s advice and learn a trade. It’s cheaper $ wise to earn the degree and you can make over $100K a year as a plumber, electrician, appliance repair, and on and on.
I have told all of my grandchildren this same thing. I retired from the construction equipment business and had several service technicians making over $100K/year, very good wages for this part of the country.
…and they pay you to do the grunt work while learning a trade.
The supreme court “opinion” Griggs v. Duke Power was the death knell for private-sector aptitude testing as it outlawed the use of such tests for determining suitability for employment. The supreme court based its “opinion” on the fact that not enough minorities (blacks) were being hired for technical positions, so the testing means had to go.
It is good to see common sense restored in the field of employment testing.
It is interesting to note that aptitude testing, outlawed in the private sector, was never outlawed for government entities. My pre-employment test with a major municipality consisted of a four-hour-test on a variety of subjects related to the position I was applying for. Yes, I was successful and got the job.
If these are the rising stars and vanguards of conservatism today, just shoot yourself and get it over with.

I sent two of my three to a private military school for a STEM degree. I know exactly what values they will be taught and how it will be reinforced. The oldest went to a state university, and at age 26 with a Bachelor’s, he’s still struggling to deal with four years of immersion in liberal garbage.
The military is one of the last institutions somewhat resistant to leftist ideologies. It teaches values, weapons familiarization, and individual initiative to think. When it comes time for democratic socialism/communism to be thrown into the trash it will be handy to know how to pull the trigger.

Kids should be encouraged to figure some of this out before they start attending a college. If I think Subaru’s politics suck, then I don’t buy a Subaru. (Mostly I won’t buy a subaroid because of all the totalitarians that drive them. Its like their favorite brand.) But if one knows at the outset that they will be required to receive some manner of social engineering in the form of anti-God propaganda, then perhaps they might choose to be a wise consumer and spend their hard earned college loans elsewhere. Mostly I agree with muscledawg though. Do yourself a favor and learn a trade. I’ve been a meat cutter and a boiler operator. You can make a living wage at either if you get on at a decent outfit.

Maybe you should transfer to a different school where the curriculum actually is built around getting you prepared for a post graduation professional position and career……
I don’t see why anyone would attend an American university when you can watch TV at home and learn to hate yourself and your ancestors for free.
