Damn sad.

We came of age in late 70s with the southern rock thing.

Legend Valley, near Columbus, OH. was the last time I saw the CDB.

Road trip memories that make you smile.

RIP

Saw him in Connecticut in 1978. Had a damn fine time. Good drink, good music and young pretty girls.

Was that at the Hartford Civic Center or New Haven Coliseum?

Actually it was at The Pinecrest in Shelton. An outdoors venue. They had many great bands over the years and sometimes they would let the girls in free. Those were the days !

The Devil went down to GA and has been occupying the Atlanta mayor’s office in different forms for decades.

The devil went down to Georgia but Charlie was in Tennessee. Hey devil, try looking in Martha’s Vineyard or Chappaqua. RIP Charlie Daniels

Saw the CDB many times in the 70s & 80s. Always a great & professional show.

This is a little different, but fabulous

Memories…
I stumbled on this one when I was about 15, some 40+ years ago, and it stuck.

Always liked tunes like this, One Piece At A Time, Alice’s Restaurant, etc. Lyrics make the stories great.

Interviewed him once for a golf magazine…One of the most charitable men I have ever met…He gave millions to The Angelus House in Hudson, FL.

Hail, Charlie!

The guitar work in this one had a tremendous influence on . . . thrash metal in the 80’s:
