THIS DAY IN HISTORY – Flight 800 explodes over Long Island – 1996

Twa flight 800 - Pierre VS The New York Times

Shortly after takeoff from New York’s Kennedy International Airport, a TWA Boeing 747 jetliner bound for Paris explodes over the Atlantic Ocean, killing all 230 people aboard. Flight 800 had just received clearance to initiate a climb to cruise altitude when it exploded without warning. Because the plane was loaded with fuel for the long transatlantic journey, it vaporized within moments, creating a fireball seen almost all along the coastline of Long Island.

The tragedy came just two days before the opening of the XXVI Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia, and many suspected terrorism. Suspicions of foul play seemed to be confirmed when a number of eyewitnesses reported that they had seen what appeared to be a missile shoot up toward the airline an instant before the explosion.

The U.S. Navy and the FBI, in conjunction with the National Safety Transportation Board, launched an extensive investigation of the incident, collecting the scattered wreckage of the aircraft out of the Atlantic and reconstructing the plane in a closely guarded hangar. Despite continuing eyewitness reports, authorities did not come forward with any evidence of a missile or a bomb, and the investigation stretched on.

When it was revealed that several U.S. Navy vessels were training in the Long Island area on the night of the blast, some began to suspect that Flight 800 had been accidentally downed by a navy test missile. U.S. authorities ruled out the possibility of an errant missile strike by the navy, but a number of conspiracists, including former White House press secretary Pierre Salinger, supported the theory. The much-criticized Flight 800 investigation ended in late 1998, with investigators concluding that the explosion resulted from mechanical failure, not from a bomb or a missile.

Worked with a guy who’s son witnessed the missile/rocket come up out of the water, fly upward and strike the plane with an explosion. The real question is who was on that plane and why and to whom was it important to eliminate them?

It was a mechanical failure linked to a pump in the fuel system but the planes were never grounded for repairs following the catastrophe, RIGHT? The FAA would never worry about an electrical failure that downed a plane, RIGHT?

I once read that it was chaffing of the teflon (??) insulation on some cable that then shorted or sparked, but forgot what the rest of the story was.

Such an obvious lie. Even obvious at the time.

I’m highly suspicious of this one too … as in shot down;

Tails just don’t fall off of air planes.

587 happened two months after 911. a bomb in the tail brought it down. They had to clean up a couple of key witnesses from the twin towers on 911 that were travelling to santa domingo

TWA 800 was shot down to kill Pam Lyncher. She was onto the satanic pedophiles like the clintons and others related to child trafficking. They killed her and her two daughters. She is best know for the Pam Lychner Sexual Offender Tracking and Identification Act of 1996.

The other interesting data point about this:

This was the last time the FAA and .gov recovered all the bits and pieces of a plane, to investigate the cause. This used to be standard operating procedure when a passenger plane crashes killing all on board.

Just 4 years later, we had 3 planes mysteriously crash, and not one attempt at gathering the evidence. Instead, they quickly brought in people to secure all the sites, and cart away the evidence as fast as possible.

Remember the MSM showing pentagon workers combing the grass to pick up debris?
you don’t pick up sections of an air plane, a full size jumbo jet will have huge sections that require cranes to remove, you know, like engines, and wings, and fuselage.

you only pick up sections of a small missile/rocket, to ensure no incriminating evidence can be found by a rookie cop on the scene.

I don’t think there is anyone out there who has spent more time investigating this crash than Jack Cashill. I have a friend who is a retired flight attendant from TWA/American airlines. We were talking about this one day and she said the employee gossip from other pilots and flight attendants is that a missile took down the plane. But she could understand why it needed to be suppressed for “security” reasons even though she had friends on that flight. It made my head hurt to hear that. I’ll have to ask her again because I think she is starting to see all of the lies we are being fed. Every year on this day Cashill writes an article about flight 800.

Since when do civilian airliner crashes get openly NSA-produced documentaries to smooth them over?

If you haven’t watched the documentary, you are just flapping your gums.

I knew folks from the South Shore of Long Island….they saw the missile or had friends that did. Never have seen a credible explanation….maybe the pedo lady but who knows……It was just another step in losing the country when the government can take out an airliner, kill hundreds and nothing happens. It has only gotten exponentially worse since then.

Nelson DeMille wrote a “novel” on this.
I believe it may have been “Nightfall”.
Great book, but I actually remember the day it happened.
Do your own research, but it’s hard to believe any government entities explanation of anything since I’ve been born.
