Jeff Deist is president of the Mises Institute and a rising star reminiscent of a young Hans Herman Hoppe and Lew Rockwell in an earlier time. He has the ability to see the big picture and draw conclusions that are horizon-expanding and startling. So it is here in a speech he gave recently where he explains how the decentralization of political institutions and nation-states has become a worldwide phenomenon and will continue to steamroll the existing world order that will result in the break-up of the United States, sooner rather than later.
We’ve seen it played out before our eyes with the turmoil in both political parties. The Republican party has already fundamentally changed since Trump. The fissures in the Democratic party were displayed poignantly and hilariously in the recent bitter exchange between Wolf Blitzer and Nancy Pelosi over the latest ‘stimulus’ bill. The corporate press has been made to look ridiculous with the Hunter Biden revelations of the New York Post and the blatant and shameless cover-up by big tech. Brexit and break-away movements in Scotland and Caledonia continue to fester. The Federal Reserve is unmoored and panicked. The political tectonic plates are shifting below our feet.
Don’t sweat globalization advises Deist. The sweep of history has turned inexorably toward decentralization. Deist lays out a fascinating and compelling explanation of the tidal wave of history in which we find ourselves. It is well worth a half-hour of your time.

I agree Doug. We’re on the knife’s edge. The event was held at the same hotel on Jekyll Island where you know what happened.
He misses or ignores the reality that most of the people (more than 50%) in the US have enabled the scam going on, and hope to live well with it. The globalists have the technology (they hope) and the minions to complete the scam they have been working on. They will not stop until and unless they are vanquished. Full stop.

It could be more accurately depicted as the “Age of the Aquisitors, or quite simply, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. This translates to the original concept of the overall disparity of wealth, where the pie begins to get divided into larger, more numerous pieces for the rich and smaller, less numerous pieces to be divided between all of the rest of us.
We will be virtually stuck in this phase until civil unrest and the possibility of armed insurrection is considered by those being “imposed” upon. That will be our mile marker for gauging the fast approaching day of reckoning and the time when SHTF and the wheels finally fall off of the U.S. economy.
The idea states that democracy is temporary in nature. It is difficult to exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.
Tytler said the repeating cycle starts out with a society in bondage (see feature framework chart). Then it goes in the following sequence:
Bondage – a point of degeneration and despair where no change will help – centralized control.
Spiritual – people oppose the conditions and search for some unity in a common cause.
Courage – the fight for freedom.
Liberty – success, the formation of codified freedom with the promise of opportunity.
Abundance – maturing of government, material growth, and prosperity.
Selfishness – the greed of material gain creates corrupt special interest groups, often using the levers of government.
Complacency – the sense of entitlement of legacy groups, with whining and complaining of the developing conflicting interests.
Apathy – accept no responsibility for problems and blames everyone else for a system of corruption.
Dependency – control of independence to control corruption and the centralization of freedom, leading back into bondage. – Alexander Tytler
Good video. Jeff Deist is mostly right, except for the fact that he thinks it is not too late for a successful decentralization. Up until as recently as a couple of years ago the U.S. could have successfully split up into smaller countries. And it was pretty obvious by looking at the huge rift between Left and Right after Trump won in 2016 that separating into two or more smaller countries would have been a good idea. But there weren’t (and still aren’t) enough people who are smart enough to understand that. And it is too late now. The NWO is in full control now, marching on toward their One World Government, and they are going to be successful. The breathtaking ease with which they were able to lock down most of the Western world with a scamdemic hoax has removed any doubt about their ability to prevail. So we are going the exact opposite direction of decentralization. The whole world is going to have a centralized One World Government in the not too distant future.
