Who Owns the Future? Dems or GOP?

If Democrats can kill the filibuster and pack the Supreme Court, if they can add four new senators from Puerto Rico and D.C., and if they can pack the electorate by turning millions of migrants, legal and illegal, into U.S. citizens and regular voters, then you don’t need to be a weatherman to know which way the wind is blowing.

For Republicans, the returns were mixed on Nov. 3.

Though he carried burdens unrivaled by a president since Herbert Hoover — a plague that has killed 230,000 Americans in eight months and crashed the economy to depths not seen since the ’30s – Donald J. Trump amassed 72 million votes, the largest total in Republican Party history.

And while he lost the popular vote, Trump held off the predicted “blue wave.” He added seats in the House, a feat rivaling that of Richard Nixon, who added 22 GOP House seats while losing to JFK in 1960. And with Trump at the top of the GOP ticket, the Senate remained Republican.

Even Joe Biden’s 5 million vote margin was a tribute to Trump, who brought out friends and foes in astounding numbers, while Biden sheltered in place in his Wilmington basement reading cliches from his teleprompter.

Democrats, however, had great successes as well, reconstructing their “blue wall,” by winning all 18 states they had won in each of the presidential elections from 1992 through 2012.

Of what does the blue wall consist? All six New England states, save New Hampshire; New York, New Jersey and the mid-Atlantic states of Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland; the Middle America quadrant of Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and Minnesota; and the Pacific Coast states of California, Oregon and Washington.

Not only did Biden rebuild that blue wall, he also added New Hampshire and Virginia, thereby carrying every state that touches the Atlantic from Maine to North Carolina.

Democrats gained ground in the Republican heartland as well.

Where Nixon in 1972 and Reagan in 1984 swept all 11 states of the Old Confederacy — as did Woodrow Wilson and FDR in the days of Dixiecrat segregation — the GOP mega-states of Florida and Texas became visibly competitive. North Carolina and Georgia are becoming toss-ups. And Virginia, capital of the Confederacy, where they now tear down statues of Robert E. Lee, is closer to blue.

The existential GOP problem? The party has lost the popular vote in seven of the last eight presidential elections. Consistent and growing popular vote majorities for Democrats must one day translate into consistent and permanent electoral vote majorities.

Democrats remain today the minorities’ party and Republicans the party of America’s white majority. White folks are roughly 60% of the U.S. population, though closer to 70% of the electorate. Both those figures, however, are slowly and steadily falling.

Demography is still destiny.

Republicans are going to have to grow their share of the white vote and their share of the Hispanic, Black and Asian vote or their future will begin to look like California today, where the Grand Old Party does not hold a single statewide office.

There are other presently insoluble problems for the GOP.

Democrats are the party of government and Republicans the party of the private sector. But the number of Americans who depend on federal programs — Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, student loans, housing subsidies, Earned Income Tax Credits, affirmative action — is growing, while the share of the population that contributes most to the programs is shrinking.

The top 1% of the population in income pays more taxes than the bottom 90%. The top 50% of the population pays 97% of the income taxes, while the bottom 50% pays only 3%.

If people who receive a cornucopia of benefits pay no income taxes, then why would they vote against a party that promises them still more benefits, to be paid for by raising the income taxes of someone else?

As John C. Calhoun declaimed on the roots of democratic class warfare,

“The necessary result… of the unequal fiscal action of the government is, to divide the community into two great classes; one consisting of those who… pay the taxes, and… bear exclusively the burthen of supporting the government; and the other, of those who are the recipients of their proceeds, through disbursements, and who are… supported by the government; or, in fewer words, to divide it into tax-payers and tax-consumers.”

Who owns the future?

If Democrats can kill the filibuster and pack the Supreme Court, if they can add four new senators from Puerto Rico and D.C., and if they can pack the electorate by turning millions of migrants, legal and illegal, into U.S. citizens and regular voters, then you don’t need to be a weatherman to know which way the wind is blowing.

Yet, as seen in California, conservatism is not dead:

On Nov. 3, Californians came out to crush Proposition 16, an attempt by leftists to cut out of the state constitution a provision that forbids racial or gender discrimination in public employment, education and contracting. The margin of defeat for Prop 16 was 56% to 44%.

The left’s appeal to diversity, and affirmative action to achieve it, was rejected by a majority of voters who put first their belief in the idea of race neutrality.

It is an ill wind that blows, whether R or D. The current state of affairs has been the result of interior rot for decades.
It hasn’t mattered for quite some time who is actually President, as Congress makes the laws. And we all see where that has gone.
Dems promise the world and Republicans lack the intestinal fortitude to significantly oppose them. It’s all “get along to go along” with so much back scratching going on I’m sure the vast majority of backs in Congress look like they were mauled by a bear.
Congress is a house of grifters and con men, mostly, with very few conscientious men and even less women. Lobby money, special interest groups, big pharma, big energy, big banks. the list goes on.
They are the ones that control what laws get passed in this country. And when the shit hits the fan in the form of Big Bank Fraud, Big Pharma deaths, Big Green fakery, no one goes to jail. They simply pay a fine and issue some half-assed apology and promise to clean up their ways. Until the next grift.
If The Two Minute Basement Egg does manage to become President, we will have an acceleration of the con. All pretense of actually following laws and maintaining the Constitution will be right out the window. We will become some crazy, smoldering wreck of Twitter morons getting everything delivered while they wear a portable bubble and tracking chip.
Then once Her Royal Highness Kamala is installed, forget it. Imagine the bossiest, screechiest, finger-wagging woman you know in charge of everything. The Queen Karen will Mother Hen us right into Venezuela and the entire time tell us it’s for our own good while she and her court live like peers of the realm.
Trump has a chance of slowing that down and at least keeping their plans in the light. Of rallying common sense people.
Americans are fairly unique in that we have no collective memory of anything except ourselves in terms of governance. We are not Europe, with a long recall of upheavals, royals, assassinations, devastation from war, and massive influxes of refugees. We think what we have will last forever because ‘we are the best!’ after all.
We are certainly the best at convincing ourselves that a piece of paper is like a magic shield. Without the actions behind the words it means nothing, and much like the Ministry of Truth, the Dems know without significant push-back they can keep saying something long enough until enough people parrot it back and voila, that paper is whatever they say it is. Sprinkle in some long-term fear porn and you can pretty much do and say anything and the rabbits will scurry back into their burrows and be happy with their universal income payments and Soy Meat brought to you by the fine folks at Amazon.

“It hasn’t mattered for quite some time who is actually President, as Congress makes the laws. And we all see where that has gone.”

That’s a back-asswards statement. Congress was intended to have Primacy as it is the most direct link to the people. What has happened is that, for quite some time, it has mattered much less what Congress does, as Presidents make laws by fiat.

Other than that, good comment.

Make Puerto Rico a state !!! This is equivalent to buying a 20 year old Oldsmobile with 300,000 miles on the clock. Why?

Puerto Ricans are horrible people (I grew up in Allentown -Puerto Ricans destroyed Eastern PA). My uncle Robert used to say: ‘A Puerto Rican is a nigger turned inside out.”

WHO OWNS THE FUTURE?

We own our own futures. There are two words with which everyone will need to become familiar. Those word are ‘nullification’ and ‘secession.’ Mississippi’s governor has already begun the process, declaring that his state will not follow any federal lockdown demands. Many county sheriffs across the country have already declared that they will not enforce gun control measures. Others will follow, if the Democrats are successful in defeating Trump. Presently there is still hope that will not happen. If the Democrats win, the country is over.

Is that the same MS governor that has a mask mandate in various parts of the state? At least one Sherrif has stated he will not enforce the mandate.

There was a cowboy named Bud. He was overseeing his herd in a remote pasture in California when suddenly a brand-new BMW drove up.

The driver, dressed in a Brioni suit, Gucci shoes, RayBan sunglasses leaned out the window and asked the cowboy, “If I tell you exactly how many cows and calves you have in your herd, Will you give me a calf?”

Bud calmly answers, “Sure, Why not?”

The yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell notebook computer, connects it to his Cingular RAZR V3 cell phone, surfs to a NASA page, calls up a GPS satellite to get an exact fix on his location, which scans the area in an ultra-high-resolution photo. He then exports the image to an image processing facility in Japan, and instantly receives an email on his Palm Pilot that the image has been processed and analyzed. Finally, he prints out a full-color, 150-page report on his hi-tech, miniaturized HP LaserJet printer, turns to the cowboy and says,—- “You have exactly 1,586 cows and calves.”

“That’s right. Well, I guess you can take one of my animals,” says Bud.

Then Bud says to the young man, “Hey, if I can tell you exactly what your business is, will you give me back my animal?”

“Okay, why not?”, says the young man.

“You’re a Congressman!”, says Bud.

“Wow! That’s correct! But how did you guess that?”

Bud answered …

“No guessing required. You showed up here even though nobody called you; you want to get paid for an answer I already knew, to a question I never asked. You used millions of dollars worth of equipment trying to show me how much smarter than me you are; and you don’t know a thing about how working people make a living – or about cows, for that matter. This is a herd of sheep. ……. Now give me back my dog.”

IF NOAH LIVED IN AMERICA TODAY

The Lord came unto Noah, and said …

“The earth has become wicked and over-populated, and I see the end of all flesh before me. Build an Ark and save two of every living thing along with a few good humans”

God gave Noah the blueprints, saying,

“You have 6 months to build the Ark before I will start the unending rain for 40 days and 40 nights.”

The Lord came back six months later and saw that Noah did not build the Ark, and demanded to know why. And Noah said ….

“Forgive me, Lord, but things have changed.

I needed a building permit. I’ve been arguing with the inspector about the need for a sprinkler system. My neighbors claim that I’ve violated the neighborhood zoning laws by building the Ark in my yard and exceeding the height limitations. We had to go to the Development Appeal Board for a decision.

Then the Department of Transportation demanded a bond be posted for the future costs of moving power lines and other overhead obstructions, to clear the passage for the Ark’s move to the sea. I told them that the sea would be coming to us, but they would hear nothing of it.

Getting the wood was another problem. There’s a ban on cutting local trees in order to save the spotted owl. I tried to convince the environmentalists that I needed the wood to save the owls – but no go!

When I started gathering the animals, an animal rights group sued me. They insisted that I was confining wild animals against their will. They argued the accommodations were too restrictive, and it was cruel and inhumane to put so many animals in a confined space.

Then the EPA ruled that I couldn’t build the Ark until they’d con ducted an environmental impact study on your proposed flood.

I’m still trying to resolve a complaint with the Human Rights Commission on how many minorities I’m supposed to hire for my building crew.

Immigration and Naturalization are checking the green-card status of most of the people who want to work.

The trades unions say I can’t use my sons. They insist I have to hire only Union workers with Ark-building experience.

To make matters worse, the IRS seized all my assets, claiming I’m trying to leave the country illegally with endangered species.

So, forgive me, Lord, but it would take at least 100 years for me to finish this Ark.”

Suddenly the skies cleared, the sun began to shine, and a rainbow stretched across the sky. Noah looked up in wonder and asked, ‘You mean you’re not going to destroy the world?” “No,” said the Lord, “Your government beat me to it”.

Since things went completely sideways with the election, I’ve been thinking a lot about the “panopticon” article posted here a couple of years ago. It feels more true every day, especially when I see whole families go driving by with masks in their own car.

Time for Pat to retire. Biden DID NOT WIN this election. Biden DID NOT WIN in PA, MI, WI, GA or AZ. Biden PROBABLY didn’t win NV, either – but if he did, it’s by a much slimmer margin than is currently being shown.

I’m unsubscribing from Buchanan’s direct emails and all others who assert that Biden “won” this election. Cheating IS NOT “winning.” Voter fraud and election fraud by Democrats IS NOT winning.

The post on inertia a while back was spot on.

People don’t want to move. When enogh people move to a whiter area of the country , the rest of the heard will follow.

The cities are not coming back. No amount of federal substance will change that.

“When enough people move to a whiter area of the country , the rest of the heard will follow.”

First, it’s “herd”.

Let’s hope the “whiter area” doesn’t get the American Indian treatment. Take their original lands. Move here! No, there! Keep moving!

Before you know it, you’re stuck on a tiny crappy piece of land. And, there’s nowhere left to move to anymore.

And it all started with that very first move.

We have been living in a one-party system for quite some time. The differences in platforms are merely fodder to entertain the masses in the Roman Circus of gladiators fighting it out until one submits to another. The crowds grow wild giving their opinion of “Let Him Live!” or “Let Him Die!”…. thinking they have the power of influence, but it was the Roman Editor that really decided. The two parties duke it out in the ring and we yell believing we can decide the outcome, but, in the end, TPTB (The Editor) started the games in control and finishes them in the same way… in control.

The ability to see things as clearly as possible to avoid getting pulled into the fray of malarkey and maintain a vigilant and agile stance is and will remain of the utmost importance. As we move forward, the power of association of like minded individuals into common causes against the desire to denigrate all freedoms for the sake of equity and social justice will be important for our survival. The game plan has been made very plain by TPTB and they are persistently pursuing their aims regardless of anything this country has or should stand for… It will be tyranny foisted upon us one stone at a time until it crushes any and all dissent. Our network of strength must now move towards local endeavors to build communities centered on the real values of this nation. Not one person here will be able to weather the coming storm alone and, with the advancement of data mining, these online communities may also soon be too difficult of a vehicle to maintain for all.

My many thanks to the Administrator for his efforts!

The same OWNERS own and control humanity and their future that have been around for a very, very long time. The owners create political parties for control and to maintain their position. Quibbling over Left/Right, GOP/DEM gives the owners great pleasure.

Your future will be determined by a very small cabal per usual.
