Though clever, this is not that much of a parody. Later that same night the authorities did come for Jesus on the evidence of false witnesses while He was praying and arrested Him. He had a bogus trial and was then put to death.
One of the Ten Commandments is:
“Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.” Exodus 20:16
Odd is it not that one of ten commandments is so readily broken in today’s world. Just think how often this commandment is broken daily by the press.
How long can the dam of God The Father’s mercy hold back His wrath against these people with such a low regard for Him?
