The Election Is Over. Here’s the Truth About Trump.

Guest Post by Ann Coulter

The Election Is Over. Here’s the Truth About Trump.

Now that the Georgia runoffs are over, let’s talk about Donald Trump.

When we really needed all hands on deck in Georgia, Trump was a wrecking ball. He went down to Georgia and insulted everyone, refusing to talk about anything but himself.

Based on his rally speech this week, Trump apparently thinks he won the November election because there was a red wave for everyone except him. How else could all those Republicans win congressional seats on his “coattails,” while he lost?

There are other ways to interpret the election results, such as that Trump didn’t have any “coattails.” In Texas, for example, Trump won, but Sen. John Cornyn got more votes — the first time a Texas senator has bested a Republican president in a couple of decades.

Maybe Americans are terrified of the Democrats, but also sick of Trump.

From the moment the election was over, Democrats were single-mindedly focused on winning the Georgia runoffs. By contrast, Republicans indulged in their usual circular firing squads, while Trump kept the base distracted with his petulance about the November election. (Yes, the Democrats cheated. They always cheat. Maybe somebody should have done something about it before the election.)

With Republicans facing these two crucial runoffs, Trump was too narcissistic to care about anything but his personal issues, and he busily set landmine after landmine for the candidates.

After Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue had triumphantly voted for the coronavirus relief bill, Trump began attacking it as a “disgrace” and ridiculing the paltry $600 individual payments.

Let’s see, who had negotiated this “disgrace” again? Trump’s own Treasury secretary, Steven Mnuchin. But Trump was too busy denouncing the November election to pay attention to the negotiations.

For a week, Trump pretended he wasn’t going to sign the bill. In the end, he signed it, but waited so long to do so that instead of Georgia voters receiving their checks days before the runoff, they’ll be getting their checks sometime later this week.

Fantastic.

Then Trump launched vicious attacks on the (admittedly ridiculous) Georgia governor and secretary of state, blaming them for his loss in the state. Republicans needed every vote in this election, and surely there are some Georgians who prefer those guys to Trump. But Trump forced Loeffler and Perdue to choose between him and their own elected Republican leaders.

It also didn’t help that we’re in the middle of another COVID surge. You can’t blame Trump for the coronavirus, a gift from China to the entire world. Trump did better than most world leaders, especially with Operation Warp Speed.

The usual problem with Trump is that he’s all talk, no action. He talked about the massive fraud that would ensue with mail-in ballots … but did nothing. He talked about “LAW & ORDER” as cities burned to the ground … but did nothing. He talked about the wall … but built only about dozen miles of it.

With COVID, it was the reverse. Trump did the right things, but wouldn’t shut up. Worst of all, he talked to Bob Woodward.

To Woodward: I could curl your toes with some of the stories about this virus! See, I get these briefings every morning …

An hour later to the public: It’s gonna be great. This will be over by Easter.

That’s not a strong leader rallying the country. It’s a con artist telling you to put all your money on a stock that’s about to tank. Worst of all, it shows you who he is that Trump so desperately wanted Woodward to like him and was stupid enough to think he could win him over.

For all that, Trump had it all! He won the presidency by running on wildly popular issues that no other candidate would touch. He had devoted followers. For the first two years of his presidency, he had a Republican House and Senate.

Oh grief that Earth’s best hopes rest all with Thee!

Trump could have been a massively popular president and won reelection comfortably, if only he’d kept faith with his voters. Even people who abhorred him would have had to say, I thought he was a coarse vulgarian, but he was right about China ripping us off, he was right about the border, and he was right about standing up to crazy woke culture.

The 2020 election should have been like Ronald Reagan’s 1984 reelection (49-state landslide). Like Trump, Reagan ran on popular issues left on the ground by other candidates — primarily his vow to destroy the Soviet Union and reignite the economy by slashing government.

But — and here’s the big difference — Reagan kept his promises.

Not Trump! Instead — in the greatest bait-and-switch in American history — he promptly turned his presidency over to nimrods Jared and Ivanka, while he watched TV and tweeted. Suddenly, the populist hero was replaced with two idiots, who were all about being friends with the Kardashians and sucking up to Goldman Sachs.

Why don’t we have a wall? Why didn’t Trump impose a tax on remittances to make Mexico pay for it? Why are American workers still training their cheap labor replacements?

Answer: Stephen Miller, Trump’s crucial immigration aide during the 2016 campaign, survived his first year in the White House only by convincing Ivanka he was working on “Women’s Issues.” He spent his remaining three years with his nose up Jared’s butt.

We knew about the hucksterism. There was no warning about the kids.

The Republican Party’s only hope is to become a populist party, but without a shallow, narcissistic ignoramus as its head.

What is the point of being slavishly loyal to a person who is loyal to no one (except his numbskull kids)? Trump has sold out everyone who was ever faithful to him — Jeff Sessions, Kris Kobach, Chris Christie, Milo Yiannopoulos, Gavin McInnes, the Proud Boys, Corey Lewandowski, Steve Bannon, Rudy Giuliani, and, of course, his own voters.

Half of the betrayed are still desperately seeking Trump’s favor by signing onto the futile “Stop the Steal” effort. Not good enough for the administration! But good enough to humiliate themselves in Trump’s final days in office. At the first Stop the Steal rally in Washington, Trump didn’t even show up. He went golfing.

Give up the cult of personality, Trumpsters, or at least find someone with a better personality.

I don’t think Trump changed his colors from when Coulter was a big fan.

Might be a good idea to watch what people actually do and ignore 80% of what they say. Trump stayed true to his past record- promoting Trump.

The mistake was made in 2016. Now we suffer the consequences, not Trump.

People were not sick of Trump, they were uninformed about who Trump was. Unless there is a major declass or a deadman switch on this thing. I will admid i was woefully wrong about placing faith in Trump.

A lot of wrong statements. The elections, like the last four years, shows us that almost everyone is against Trump. the media and the Republicans and the Democrats. Or against the American people is more like it.

Agreed.. while I agree with parts of this rant ( though Coulter shows she is just another mindless red team/blue team autobot and misses the bigger picture)– There is no way you can say Trump “had” a republican house and senate with all of those never-trumpers and Rinos.

If it wasn’t Shitstain McCain blowing up healthcare reform, it was the “moderate” republicans blocking budgets that included funding the wall. Efforts to pull troops out of the Middle East and end our forever wars were sabotaged by the brass in the military he so heavily supported.

Every position he filled in the cabinet turned out to be just another swamp rat– because he chose them from a pool of swamp rats. Like in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah– Abraham could not find 10 righteous people in the entire cities. Trump is surely no Abraham but his odds of finding an honest, un-bought, un-blackmailable, untarnished politico in DC were probably much less than in Sodom.

Trying to fill financial posts?.. why go to the heart of the beast (Wall Street/ Goldman Sachs for your hires?) Trying to downsize US involvement in foreign wars? .. why trust the generals who started the wars, thrive on the wars and very existence and egos are tied to military conflict?
Justice Dept, security agencies, attorney general etc etc etc… Career Swamp Rats one and all…

IF Trump was ever truly the image that ran for POTUS in 2016 ( and I believe he was simply by the genuine hatred and insanity to fight him at every turn for 4 years) then my belief is that his biggest mistake was under-estimating how deep the muck is underneath the fetid waters in a swamp.

The Uniparty didn’t have 2/3 supermajorities in both houses, so they needed him to sign government funding bills. He should have shut down the government the first time the opportunity arose in 2017 until they gave him $10B (and enabling legislation) to build the wall. Instead, he trusted Ryan and McConnell that they would do that later. That’s when his presidency ended. It was the opposite of Reagan and PATCO.

DeSantis is good. A better pick than Hawley. The question is whether the stench of Trump will still attach to DeSantis or whether President Kamala Harris will have sufficiently annoyed everyone enough to be tossed out. The other questions are whether they will even let anyone vote and whether it even makes any fucking difference.

Ann?

Our country is in a terrible situation.

We’ve actually known for decades this was in the planning stage and when the country elected Bill Clinton in 1992, I sat in a motel room at March AFB disbelieving and sad. And, after my share of the twelve-pack of beer my roommate and I shared at the distressing news, a bit drunk.

Which made for a terrible morning and crappy showtime for flight. Oh, shut up. I wasn’t a pilot; just a technician/operator.

One of the first things Clinton did, remember, was implement the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, which was intended, I assume now, to normalize the idea of homosexuals in the military. Well, since I had been active duty for some time by then, I’d known there were homosexuals in the military for years and had actually “not asked nor told” for years.

I know you hope to rally the troops for one last political resolution, but the only way this ends without war in the streets and possibly, in the woodlands or hills, is if someone finds a way to bridge a compromise before the whole country gets washed away in the tidal wave that is rushing toward us, not slouching at all.

It was just a few months ago I hoped to build support for the idea of a Constitutional Convention. I still believe it could have made a difference, at least it would have been a foundation on which to build that bridge to a compromise.

But, now that we are a One Party nation, under Biden and Harris with a guaranteed income for all, compromises will become very expensive and beyond the ordinary voter’s reach.

It is all pay to play now.

What makes you think the left will EVER compromise, especially when they have control of all branches of government?
We The People will never see a ‘fair’ election again. If that stands, we deserve what happens.
Not sure we’ve had one in a long while.
If china joe tries to disarm us in preparation for a chinese takeover, I hope you’re ready for what needs to take place.

I believe the Uniparty, which is everyone without traditional working and middle class values and sympathies has sold out to China. They are allied in this Globalist BS with the Davos crowd and Big Tech, all of which were seen to do everything possible to get Trump. They did it by open, in your face thievery. They know we know and “fuck you, you are now blocked for hate speech!”
They love the CCP model. Mercantilist trade combined with slave labor. Technocrats and Oligarchs making decrees to be enforced by “government.” Stratified class systems.
This Fourth Turning has not yet gone hot but when it does we owe it to posterity to pour so much gas on it that it cannot stand regardless of what destruction is wrought. Our grandchildren cannot be “bricks in the Wall.”

Trump was the accidental president. He ran to boost his brand. He didn’t expect to win against his pal Hillary. He cobbled together a small list of talking points that he knew would attract the favor of beaten down people. The shit of it was-he won. So he and his pissed off wife had to move into the white house ‘dump’ and make-believe. Days into his presidency Henry Kissinger paid an uninvited visit to read him the script. Trump had no choice. Either follow the script or get grassy knolled.

I feel bad for my TBPer family members who ache today. We’ll get past this and resume flinging shit like the noble monkeys we are. Good people are depending on us. There’s a big difference between getting knocked out and getting knocked down.

This is a controlled Communist-NWO take over of the USA like occurred in Venezuela. The same CIA-China linked Dominion rigged voting machines, the routine urban Democrat ballot box stuffing, and the same controlled MSM-Pravda Propaganda/censorship. The Capital Building break in on 6Jan2021 was an Oligarch staged fraud (re the Reichstag Fire and Sandy Hook) to brand supposed violent Trump Supporters as the Insurrectionist Coup and send the MSM into a frenzy to whip up the Useful Idiots; and justify violent government actions against Conservatist in the future. The $2,000 checks and the UBI Great Society checks to come are Useful Idiot bribes; the UBI checks will dwindle to slave subsistance levels (and less for those with low Social Credits). If you voted for Biden, you voted for US to become a Cuba and a Venezuela. You say you don’t like the Police? You’ll love their new KGB bosses. Friends, we don’t have to accept this. If a thief stole your car, would you just let him have it or would you fight to get it back and have the thief punished? Communist have stolen our government; we can take it back. The Spanish did just that and won; with God’s help, so can we.

Stucky old friend and helpful critic, I couldn’t help recalling : “Knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts” 2Peter3:3. I’d substitute misunderstandings for lusts in general. I believe a learned man like yourself knows that the Devil, Illuminati, “The Beasts”, and Cosmic Stuff are real and important; that God does involve Himself in The Great and in the small matters as He choses; that nothing is beyond His Powers, and that the Prayers of People influence Him. We should all do what we can by Prayer and by deeds to become a Light, not a stumbling block, on the Right Path. Obviously we cannot vote the Commie Bastards out, but let’s Pray and struggle to send the Oligarchs and their Minions to Hell sooner than the 70 or so years it took the Russia People (1917-1989). American liberal Useful Idiots (not you) have a bitter lesson to learn and that learning begins 20Jan2021 if Biden and Harris get officially sworn in.

Spain was able to pull it off because they had a qualified and competent leader who was a hard man and took no bullshit and prisoners. He knew what needed to be done and successfully kicked Communism to the curb. Even after the fact he was pilloried by numerous nations for his hard stance and brutal offence to get the job done. There was no pearl clutching, we are better then that bullshit, civility or compromise. God’s help will be like pissing in the wind without effective leadership. This is what you have to do. If you don’t have the spine for it then the battle is lost. NWO has pushed all their chips to the center of the table and will pull no punches in winning. God has already given you the means and a brain to do the job but he won’t do the heavy lifting and why should he?

Question – If Trump was a narcissistic phony, why didn’t he run as a Liberal Democrat? The party of Narcissistic Phonies.

Trump was a high profile, media savvy, billionaire before he ran. All of the other people like him identify as Liberal Democrats. ALL of them. Do you know why? It is certainly not ideology. They couldn’t give a shit less about ideology. It is because they are well aware that Liberal Democrats receive fawning, reverential coverage by the media while Conservatives, even very mild ones, are ridiculed, mocked and despised.

Trump could have easily steamrolled Hillary in the primaries and easily steamrolled Jeb! in the election. If he had decided to go that route, imagine where he would be now.

He would be worshiped by Hollywood and hailed as the greatest President since… well, ever. They really would have put his image on Mt. Rushmore. Pop music stars would be fighting to see who has the high honor of singing for him. Actors and actresses would be slobbering over who can kiss his ass the most. He could have sex with every actress and anchorwoman that he wanted with absolutely zero repercussions. Melania would be on the cover of every fashion magazine, every month. She would be bigger than Princess Diana. His kids would all have their own TV shows. Barron would be a teen idol. Trump hotels would be hailed as the best in the world. He could charge double the current rates. He would have won the Nobel Prize every year. They probably would have changed the name to the Trump Prize. He would have won re-election in a true landslide. Possibly all 50 states. In short, he would have achieved absolutely everything that a true narcissist would ever dream of.

Think about that when you criticize Trump.

One thing early on that caught my eye-before I stopped reading-was the comment about his going to Georgia and talking about himself and only himself. One of the few positive books written bout the man has it that at his father’s funeral the other Trump kids talked lovingly about their deceased father whereas the ‘eulogy’ that Donald gave was all about himself. Sound familiar?

I have always said that Trump the Idea made a lot more sense than Trump the Man. Sadly, far too many people never got beyond disliking the Man and could not appreciate the Idea.
