A collaboration of: “The Classic Music Mafia”
nkit, Austrian Peter, and Steve C.
Every Sunday morning we present selections for our TBP family to enjoy.
We present symphonies, ensembles, quartets, octets, etc.
Not all of our music is strictly ‘classical’. We may stray a little, but we strive to make all of our selections ‘classy’.
We offer tips on proper ‘symphony etiquette’ and even some selections that are a bit light-hearted and fun aimed at a younger audience. Those pieces will be so designated, and might be a good way to introduce kids to a world of music that they might not have been exposed to or think of as old and ‘stuffy’.
A full symphony will run as long as it will. We don’t want to cut a symphony short. However, we also include some shorter pieces that we try to keep under fifteen minutes in length. You can sample each and hopefully find one or more that pleases you.
We hope that you enjoy our Sunday selections.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Ennio Morricone Live@Palais Omnisports (Paris)

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
The wonderful soloist is Susanna Rigacci.
This legendary piece is one theme from “Il Buono il brutto e il cattivo”, one of the Morricone’s Masterpiece.
Zadok The Priest
Here is my old pal George Frideric Handl once again..
The first piece is “Zadok The Priest”.
George Frideric Handel’s ‘Zadok the Priest’ from his Coronation Anthem HWV258, performed by the Academy of Ancient Music and Choir of the AAM.
Conducted by Music Director Richard Egarr and recorded live at Symphony Hall, Birmingham.
Composed for the coronation of King George II on 11 October 1727, Handel’s 𝘡𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴𝘵 (HWV 258) stands alongside ‘The King Shall Rejoice’, ‘My Heart is Inditing’ and ‘Let Thy Hand Be Strengthened’ as one of the composer’s Coronation Anthems.
One of Handel’s best-known works, 𝘡𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴𝘵 has been performed prior to the anointing of the sovereign at the coronation of every British monarch since its composition and is universally recognised as a staple of British patriotic music. Fun fact:
Let Thy Hand Be Strengthened
The second piece is titled “Let Thy Hand Be Strengthened”
Performed by the Sixteen and Harry Cristophers.
