I picked a few one hit wonders, mostly from the 1970s. Feel free to add your own favorites.

Tell me that doesn’t sound exactly like Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Both bands were from Jacksonville, FL.
RiNS!
It’s ODIN-!!!!!!
Saw Molly in concert in Portland in ’82. LOL, the first girl I asked wanted to know who she was. Went with an Indian girl whose dad was the head (deputy director) of the BIA, Michael Smith. Had a great time.
Yeah, Lawrence Welk. Just put the name “Jesus” in a song lyric and some folks pay no other attention.
Gotta say that Coke’s bastardization of this song was genius marketing.
That last video is quite gender challenging. LOL A LOT of hair going on.

Produced by David Gilmore of Pink Floyd (probably why it sounds so good). Oboe player is super cute. She has played with everyone. A great sounding instrument of all the woodwinds.
comes back to your original country.
Kim has been around for many decades, Anyone here heard of Max Webster?

Everybody who knows him, will immediately recognize who wrote that song…
Nile Rogers…right? (I had to look it up).
Yep.
Not just Chic, but also:
Upside Down – Diana Ross
We Are Family – Sister Sledge
Let’s Dance – David Bowie
Wild Boys – Duran Duran
Like A Virgin & Material Girl – Madonna

(I’d also count Another One Bites The Dust a direct clone of Rogers’ and Edwards’ style.)
Ridiculous how I only found out decades after, that many of my favorite songs were all written by the same guy…
Actually he is also the one who suggested the “oriental-sounding” intro to China girl by David Bowie. A very talented guy/producer.

once upon a time in a long lost decade
Saw them in Atlanta at a dumpy venue called the Masquerade. I was excited about seeing them….but apparently I was the only one. I bought tickets in advance but when I got there, there were so few folks for the concert they were letting everyone in for free. It was a great concert, I stood 5 feet from the stage the whole time, but truly sad to see a band like this go so far downhill. If MTV had only let them show the huge boobs on the drum heads in the “She’s A Beauty” video (rather than blurring them out) I know their career would have take back off….LOL

How about my cousin’s neighbor Steve Forbert & “Romeo’s Tune”? Steve told People Mag that he “grew up poor on a lettuce farm near Meridian MS. He grew up on 41st St in a split level around a quarter mile from Northwoods CC.
