I picked a few one hit wonders, mostly from the 1970s. Feel free to add your own favorites.

Irish babe with a good figure had some pipes back when this launched…
she could belt out the highs and lows, on key, without her face even straining.
Forgive the genre, if not appreciated, but that’s called vocal range.
Today’s music sucks ass!
another version:
Don’t forget the ’80s
Holy crap, this concert was the first date for my now wife of 35 years. Club Casino, Hampton Beach NH
I knew others of his songs, but I’m pretty sure this is the only one people consider a hit.
It has my all time favorite symbolism in lyrics:
“She comes out of the sun in a silk dress running like a watercolor in the rain.”
Great song, Lib. Love the instrument mix / blend in this one.
I always loved this song. “Brenda’s strange obsession was for certain vegetables and fruit.”
They played at my college. They do a great version of “Ring of Fire” too.
Stealing the music of others always deserves a downvote.
but there are two interesting twists to that theft,
1- he didn’t have permission to use queen’s song/beat… copyright infringement
2- Queen had a HUGE revival to that song and a new generation got to know their music….
so yes a rip off and a new start..
side note… the song was a “B” side to some other POS… and a DJ decided to flip the 45 over and actually play the “B” side… then played it on the air….
and as they say….
the rest is history ….. cheers
I think the “One hit” part kinda went off the rails…lol! That never happens here😂.
Since Jim included the Georgia Satellites you can’t forget Dan Baird who went off on his own and recorded “I Love You Period”, which became a hit, from the album “Love Songs For The Hearing Impaired”. I have that album and it’s always been a favorite of mine. I played it loud while doing chores. The entire album is very good if you like loud southern rock. My favorite off the album along with the rest of the songs never made it to any FM radio that I know of.
200 !!!!!!!!
Not exactly a one hit wonder, but fitting, ‘ey?

Some of the videos are not being displayed so forgive if these are dupes:
EC I hope we did you proud. Miss you, EC.
They had a great one hit Album
One more before I drown in tears of nostalgia…..
oops!
