THIS DAY IN HISTORY – Torture chamber uncovered in Philadelphia – 1987

Via History.com

Gary M. Heidnik - Wikipedia

Responding to a 911 call, police raid the Philadelphia home of Gary Heidnik and find an appalling crime scene. In the basement of Heidnik’s dilapidated house is a veritable torture chamber where three naked women were found chained to a sewer pipe. A fourth woman, Josefina Rivera, had escaped and called police.

Gary Heidnik was a former mental patient and sex offender who had managed to become a wealthy stock investor. He owned a Rolls Royce and beat Uncle Sam on his income taxes by making himself the bishop of his own church. The sign on the front of his house read, “United Church of the Ministries of God.” One room in his house was partially wallpapered with money. At the end of 1986, Heidnik decided to create his own harem and began kidnapping women off the streets of Philadelphia.

Six women were kidnapped and held in Heidnik’s dungeon. All were raped and tortured while the others were forced to watch. He killed one of the women by putting her in a pit, filling it with water and putting a live electrical wire into the water. Another of the women was killed when Heidnik let her starve to death while chained to the wall. In perhaps the most grisly and horrid episode of the entire incident, Heidnik dismembered one of his victims, cooking parts of her body and feeding it to his other captives. The women who were found alive recovered after being treated for dehydration and malnutrition.

Although Heidnik was clearly mentally disturbed, he was found guilty and convicted of murder on July 1, 1988. He received a death sentence, and was executed on July 6, 1999.

Heidnik was one of the inspirations for the Buffalo Bill character in Thomas Harris’ Silence of the Lambs.

“Although Heidnik was clearly mentally disturbed, he was found guilty and convicted of murder on July 1, 1988.”

Why does that note even matter? You may as well have said Although Heidnick was clearly over five feet tall, or Although Heidnick was clearly a resident of Pennsylvania.

If he had done the exact same thing but it turned out he was clearly sane, would they have treated him differently?

Motives have no impact on victims, only the crimes do.

Which is another reason “hate crimes” are stupid. If you assault someone or murder them, the punishment for that crime should be the same regardless of motive.

It is clearly about an insanity defense. I’m sure his lawyers tried it and it failed. That is the purpose of the clause.

He wasn’t too insane to drive a car, make investments, kidnap women, go grocery shopping, pay his bills, etc.

My point was that it is immaterial to the victims.

Ed Kemper, IQ of 145. He hated his mother and was sent to live with his grandparents whom he subsequently killed. He was released from a mental institution and back into the custody of his mother. She worked in a university and Ed, who was 6′ 9″ began grabbing female hitchhikers and killing them. He would decapitate the bodies and have sex with the heads, often keeping the heads in his bedroom at home.

He killed his mother by beating her to death with a hammer, he decapitated her and cut off her hands and placed her head on the mantle and tossed darts at it. He then called his mother’s best friend and when she arrived he killed her and tossed her body in a closet.

Do you think that birth control and abortion and women being treated as equals are the cause of Ed’s behaviour? According to AP’s little diatribe and rant, women are to be treated as chattel and slaves, too stupid to be other than sex objects and brood mares and only allowed outside under supervision. I have great pity for AP’s wife, if he even has one, she isn’t a person, she is nothing but chattel according to his view of a woman’s true purpose.

Mental patients should be locked up and stay there. Problem is, systems like this get abused. Like families wanting to lock away grandpa because they want his money. If psychologists were honest and non crazy themselves, the system could work.

Psychologists ARE a big part of the problem. All to often they let these monsters out based on nothing but what the insane tell them. And because they are insane doesn’t mean they aren’t smart. They learn to lie well enough for fool some highbrow psychologist and get released.

Take the greyhound bus killer. Beheaded a guy on a greyhound bus. Which in my mind is how anyone would not intervene and bail out is not computing. This guy was not convicted of murder and was declared insane. Five years later… he’s released into the community because he’s no longer a danger so long as he takes his meds.

Yeah… I know….

What SHOULD happen is that these butt streaks psycologists, judges and parole boards should have to house these nice people for a year in their own homes to assure there are no risks posed. Bet that’d end the early releases quick enough. The communists hate the populace and if releasing these violent insane criminals doesn’t affect them directly, then they are all to happy to release them back intot the communities. After all its their ‘rights’ to have that freedom, to kill again.

I agree, birth control and abortion are what has ruined families. And I agree with doing away with welfare and bringing back the family. But it’s not going to happen until after the government collapses. People will be in for a rude awakening.

People will be in for a rude awakening.

That they are… Its gonna get worse, across the board, before people get mobilized enough to actually put bodies on the line and say no more. House cleaning time…

Not only is it going to take a collapse of some sort for that to happen, but also for men to again treat them like wives and mothers to children, not as equals, partners, independent wage earners, etc.

And unless there is a complete collapse, it will take a couple of generations for feminism to stop being a problem. It is propaganda of course, but it acts like a mental disease in most women, they won’t let it go and only time and new generations unpoisoned can fix that.

It only took eleven years for him to be put to death. We paid about forty grand a year for those years. Someone should check and see if he voted in the last election. I prefer the bullet in the head five minutes after the guilty verdict way of doing things.

the history.com write up barely scratches the surface with this guy.

In 1978, Heidnik signed out Alberta, the sister of his then-girlfriend Anjeanette Davidson, from a mental institution on day leave, and proceeded to imprison her in a locked storage room in his basement. After she was found and returned to the hospital, examination revealed that she had been raped and sodomized, and that she had contracted gonorrhea. Heidnik was arrested, and charged with: kidnapping, rape, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment, involuntary deviant sexual intercourse, and interfering with the custody of a committed person. The original sentence was overturned on appeal, and Heidnik spent three years of his incarceration in mental institutions prior to being released in April 1983, under the supervision of a state-sanctioned mental health program.

“In October 1971, Heidnik incorporated a church called the “United Church of the Ministers of God,” initially with only five followers. In 1975, Heidnik opened an account under the church’s name with Merrill Lynch. The initial deposit was $1,500. Heidnik eventually amassed over $500,000 (US$ 1,166,000 in 2010). ”

Damn someone help me start a church.

They’re black women so you don’t care anymore? That’s pathetic. No human being should be subjected to kidnapping, rape, torture, imprisonment, starvation and death.

It’s men’s job to be harder hearted about some things, because women tend to extend compassion too far. It’s men who guard borders, and women who hold up ‘Refugees Welcome’ signs.

I don’t care whether they deserve it or not. Blacks kidnap, rape, torture, abuse, kill, and eat white people all the time. They do it to each other. It’s simply not relevant to me.

What has compassion for other races gotten us? Invaded, outnumbered (we feed and doctor them while they breed like rabbits), and the government over us and the media propagandizing us are trying to kill us off, directly or indirectly through replacement and racemixing.

You’re a cold person and an ass! NOBODY should be made to suffer what this defendant did to these women. How would you feel if your wife and daughter were subjected to this type of treatment? You wouldn’t like it one bit. You would be ready to kill over it. And you’re a hypocrite.
It’s one thing to object to welfare and other special privileges for blacks. That’s negotiable and a subject of legislation. It’s another thing for an individual to subject women, any women, to these atrocities. So fuck off. You’re in need of mental help if you can’t see the difference.

I don’t like torture either. I accidentally deleted the part where I agreed the murderer needed put down. I’m not in any way defending any of it. But it’s like a rabid, wild animal. If that rabid animal hurts something you care about it, you will feel different then if it hurt, say, a skunk.

There are more than enough white victims of black crimes that deserve my worry or sympathy first.. Or white victims of muslims. Or white victims of mestizos. Or white victims of the people who brought the slaves or invaders to our countries.

“That’s negotiable and a subject of legislation. ”
It’s not negotiable at all. I am willing to negotiate on paying for their boat ride back to Africa.

The church thing was purely a joke about how much money it made him, despite him being incapable of acting like a normal human being. Hopefully some of the people here who want to donate to churches should learn a lesson from that.

You should know that there are extensive videos online of blacks torturing or watching people, even their own friends, die while they laugh as if it’s the funniest thing in the world. It would be sick if I accorded them more respect or thought than they are willing to give to even their own race.

“Women would have to get married.”

Sheesh, what bullshit. So the only reason a woman exists is to service men and act as a broodmare? You sound like a devout muslim. Are you aware of the fact that in countries where women are treated as chattel and possessions of their fathers, husband and brothers the incident of homosexual child abuse is off the charts?

The moral hypocrisy is outrageous in a country where homosexuality is not only strictly forbidden but savagely punished, even between two consenting adults. However, men who sodomise young boys are not considered homosexuals or paedophiles. The love of young boys is not a phenomenon restricted to Afghanistan; homosexual pederasty is common in neighbouring Pakistan, too. In my view, repression of sexuality and extreme gender apartheid is to blame.

Treating women in the manner that you deem the only course they be ALLOWED to exist under is beyond sick, it is slavery. Evidently you aren’t smart enough to pay attention to history or what happened to women who were widowed or unmarried in your sexist utopia. They were discarded and left to either die, or, if young enough, forced into prostitution or worse. Their children often starved if left fatherless but hey, that’s ok because, well, because they weren’t married or allowed to do anything to support themselves because society deemed women only suitable as wives or whores.

That’s not what he’s saying. He’s saying that sex has consequences and that birth control and welfare have contributed to the fall of the family, which I agree with.
He’s not saying a female can’t have a career if that’s what they choose, and that they are only chattel. Women have always worked, many owning businesses, even in the Middle Ages.
What is boils down to is people taking responsibility for their actions.

Where is there positive mention of women and careers in his diatribe? His attitude towards women is apparent and….newsflash….birth control isn’t the cause of the downfall of western civilization. Nor is women having equal rights. His views are archaic and…what happens if a woman is old and widowed? Is she no longer valuable because no man will marry her and she can’t have babies?

I don’t care about Anglin’s overall views on women, I was commenting on what was quoted above by AP. It is largely correct, even if it overemphasizes birth control.

You know what was also archaic? The Renaissance. Sometimes the past has beautiful things. Women could be treated like what Tacitus said about the Germans before christianity, they were not like men but had influence, respect, and freedom. But as long as women nowadays hold to ‘equal rights,’ sex with any man they want and can get, abandoning their role in the family, then the only thing they will get is a legal system like the Romans where they were technically property. Either that or we will die out completely. The choice is not up to us, it’s going to depend on how hard things collapse, and for how long.

“what happens if a woman is old and widowed?”
Than you had better have a good family or children to support you, just like any old widower or crippled soldier or any person, man or woman, that fate sets adrift. Or work hard for your people to be strong, but as a woman, that basically boils down to acting the way a woman does within her family.

“Is she no longer valuable because no man will marry her and she can’t have babies?”
Women unable or unfit or unwilling to have babies are ALWAYS less valuable to men. That’s a fact of nature and has nothing to do with what any of us want.

Old people get married everyday in this modern world. What is the benefit besides combining Social Security checks? People want companionship even in old age. The old crone is not left out in the cold, so to speak, even though they can’t produce children.
