Evan Sayet’s 2007 lecture on how modern liberals think is the most-viewed talk in the Heritage Foundation’s history. I thought I’d post the video because everything he said in 2007, is on full display today. Watch it, share it and remember to remain Forever Fearless!
Evan is out with a new book, “The Woke Supremacy: An Anti-Socialist Manifesto,” in which he argues that Wokeism is a supremacist movement.
I met Evan in Fresno when he was doing stand up comedy in 2005. I remember that I was standing at the bar of the night club ordering a beer when he was introduced by the Emcee. He was the headliner and when he came out on stage he greeted the audience this way, “Thank you ladies and gentlemen, my name is Evan Sayet and liberals are so fucking stupid….”
The place exploded with laughter and what can only be described as a ‘thunderclap’ of massive applause. I had never seen him before but at that moment I knew, I was gonna like this guy!
Evan has been a writer and political commentator for years as well as a stand up comic. He was quoted several times by Rush Limbaugh and was a regular guest on my talk shows. After his liberal friends’ response to 9/11, he went on a quest to figure out what he calls “The Modern Liberal” mindset. His popular talk to the Heritage Foundation on “How The Modern Liberal Thinks” has received over 600,000 views on YouTube, and is the basis for his book, “The KinderGarden Of Eden: How The Modern Liberal Thinks And Why He’s Convinced That Ignorance Is Bliss.”
Evan has written and/or produced in virtually every medium there is. Starting out as a standup comic he was quickly noticed by David Letterman and offered a spot on a special episode featuring young talent. Segueing into writing, he was an integral part of the team that made “The Arsenio Hall Show” the first late night program in thirty years to give “The Tonight Show” a run for its money and then the very first Creative Consultant on the highly respected “Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher” (back when Maher was funny). After that Evan wrote and produced the highest rated special in Discovery’s The Learning Channel’s history (“The 70’s: From Bellbottoms to Boogie Shoes”), perfected the book for a musical comedy, wrote a screenplay optioned by Penny Marshall and even tried his hand at game shows – as the original writer of the cult classic “Win Ben Stein’s Money.”
Evan is the creator, and star of “The Right To Laugh,” which is the longest running conservative comedy show in America.

I’m sure Evan is a smart guy, but it sounds like he bought in to the 911 propaganda that “terrorists flew planes into the World Trade Center buildings”. And he sounds like he was all for going to war in Iraq (illegally invading a sovereign country). Hopefully he has rethought his position on this by now!
At the time this video was taken, I believed it too. I was an engineer (electrical) working 15 to 18 hours a day in my own business trying to feed my very large family and I didn’t have time at the time to check the veracity of the government’s reports. After things calmed down a bit (after 2010) I came across a report from architects for truth and never felt dumber in all my life. Times have changed significantly since then. I feel quite confident that Evan’s views have also changed since this video as well.
Liberals don’t think, they feel. They are incapable of logical thought, that is why they are liberals.
There are really only two political positions when you come right down to it. There are people on one end of the spectrum that believe every person owns themselves and their own life. They are at the true conservative end of the spectrum, and are anarchists at heart, but they realize people are assholes, and need some kind of corrective mechanism so as a matter of practicality they accept we need some small amount of government, so long as it remains subservient, and they are therefore practicing libertarians.
The other end of the political spectrum are the people who believe the government owns you, and should dictate how you should live to one degree or another. They are feudalists. Feudalists come in many forms including communists, socialists, liberals, and even most republicans. They vary in the degree they think the government should dominate you, but they all believe in the governments right and power to be absolute in one form or another.
The inconvenient truth about ethics and principals, is that you must abide by them 100% of the time if you expect them to work. This country was founded on the principal that all citizens are sovereign, and that the government is subservient to the citizens. Any deviation from that principal results in tyranny and feudalism, and in truth, that is what we have today…
I once described Democrats as those who want government to control everything in your life, except what you do in the bedroom. And republicans as those who do not want the government to control anything in your life, except what you do in the bedroom.
Well…& orwell…& oh, well.
All along the fade in, out & away watchtower it goes more like this: some feel their thinking more & some think their feelings more, but nobody is either or(not even)well.
There’s at least one more position & that’s no position. Flat is a position. Flat earth may or may not be radical but flat can be good feelin’ thinkin’ or thinkin’ feelin’ as case may be & anywhere in between too.
“So long as it remains” gov never was & will never be. So is that felt thought or thought felt? Either way, it’s “doom”:
Feudalists. And maybe futile’sts.
Locus of control is a belief, not a place, either way. As you parse it the conservs want less, or the Goldilocks just right, & the libs want the bears to maul Goldi. But both are on the ought’ism spectrum, no?
(Was it The Gift of Fear that recounted the woman who allowed her man to override her instincts – felt thought thought felt – & continue along that trail of doom that led to the bear that mauled her…& led, years of suffering later, to her suicide? Regret like that can be carnivorous…as can be the compulsion to avoid regret.)
This country’s founding was sold, to some, on the principal that after the king was supplanted in favor of those who would supplant him the mooches who swallowed that pitch could clip coupons & collect interest forever happily after.
And that was never more than Timothy Goldi Treadwell & the grizzlies.

His 2007 vid was far ahead of its time in many ways…and I enjoyed it…but far behind the present insight on the bullshit of the Iraq War.
