Ocean levels change when enough ice ends up on land. over 12,000 years ago that was about 3-400 feet of ocean stacked on land. When a meteor struck that ice, you got your biblical flood story.
There is not enough ice trapped on land right now to worry about ocean levels. There is a cap to how warm it can get and that cap is where mega-fauna happens. It can keep getting colder until nothing survives, because cooling is a stronger feedback loop.
We do not currently possess any technology capable of changing the earths climate, except nuclear weapons (in the short term). Burning oil doesn’t change anything compared to an astrological or geological event. Hydrocarbon fuels are like pissing in the ocean or spitting in a pond.

The Great Lakes were formed by an Ice Age that lasted about 100k years. Michigan was under about a mile high glacier. It warmed up about 17k years ago, but we are due for another ice age. “Native Americans” crossed from Siberia when there was a land bridge to Alaska about that time and became Mayans, Aztecs, Cherokee, Hurons, and so on.
