One of my sons once came home from school (Probably he was in the 4th grade) and said that he wanted to be a “brown boy.” Dumb struct. I few years later he came home from school and declared: “my mouth taste stank.” Both the wife and I thoroughly disabused him of ever uttering another “nigger” term in our home. We musta yelled at him for a solid hour. And broke his balls about it until he flew the coup. That was probably the start of me using that racial slur after basically not using it during my lifetime. Some years later he winds up marrying a Pilipino, and now has a brown boy son. I refer to his wife as the Talalalalagog (Tagalog). I now use these slurs on a regular basis. I’m trying to get with the times. ;0
