I’m on a roll. I can’t help myself. I’m a loser with no life. I need a hobby. And curses on whoever thought it was a good idea to give me internet access.
There are no converted churches here. No whimsical photos. Almost without exception, these are phenomenal homes, inside and out. Although, I would only want to live in a handful of them … who the hell needs 30,000+ square feet?? Or, even 5,000 square feet, really. (I will make an exception, begrudgingly, for the house in Hawaii!)
Sizes range from 5.3k square feet (SD) to 62.6k square feet (FL). Prices range from $2.2m (ND) to $165m (CA). The age of homes ranges from 120 years old to brand new.
This is my third, and final, “Houses” article. I always wanted to write a trilogy! The only search criteria is price, and I will display the most expensive home in the state. Zillow will be the primary source, but not always.
For a fast and easy read there will be minimal commentary. Generally, two exterior pictures per house; close-up and from a distance (because they are so yuge). Info included; name of town (w/ link to web site) / price / square feet / year built.

BONUS!! 2nd Most Expensive House In The WORLD
$1,000,000,000 (Billion)! Known as “Antilla”, it is the home of India’s richest man. 400,000 square feet … and takes a staff of 600 to maintain. And it’s about as fucken ugly as the ass-end of a Hindu cow!
That’s the most inflation I’ve ever seen in one article. Good job!
Thanks, Steph.
How’s this for inflation …..
——– A Harvard Study …”“Million-Dollar” Homes and Wealth in the United States ” …. concluded that according to Census data and the Survey of Consumer Finances, that there were over 850,000 residences worth at least a million
dollars.” But, that’s sooooo old — from 2000.

——– According to a NY Post article from just 2 months ago;
————– Los Angeles has 359,937 million dollar homes
————– NYC has 356,032 million dollar homes
————– 48% of homes in San Jose are a million bucks or more (176,243 units)
Almost One Million million dollar homes in just 3 cities!! There’s a shitload of wealth in the good ol’ USA. Well, that depends on one;s definition of “wealth”, does it not?

“Worth” is a subjective term, and means NOTHING until the ink is dry on the sale of the home. Within the past 2 decades we have also seen $50 million homes have their sale prices slashed to $10 million. Indeed, still a high price, but it shows the reality of a market that is completely and totally fueled by zoning regulations and Federal Reserve easy money policies.
Random thoughts… Alabama is an absolute shithole and you couldn’t give me a mansion there if the stipulation was I had to live in it.
Jekyll is paradise .
Did you leave out South Carolina on purpose, because no sane person would ever want to live there?
It was a Brain Fart oversight.

Kiawah is beautiful none the less.
Brain Fart #2. I also left out the link to Zillow for the Batesville, Indiana property. Here’s the link in case anyone wants to see the other pictures.

Fascinating.
I will tell my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years. Take your ease, eat, drink, be merry.”‘ “But God said to him, ‘You foolish one, tonight your soul is required of you. … So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
Ain’t that the truth!
All I can think of when looking at these is how much money some undeserving real estate agent is going to get for the sale (not condemning them in general, just the belief that they are deserving of a percentage, rather than a dedicated fee for services), and how much the worthless criminal government is going to steal annually for taxes and most especially for the completely horrible day prison system for the kids.
The price you pay for ostentatious
Weird that you found a pic of my home in TX. Oh well, off to work to pay for my shire.
Stucky- Tell us the truth, which state seems the most interesting to you for a future home at the present moment? I’m sure it is in the south somewhere. heh
If money wasn’t an issue … Hawaii, hands down. But, at a median price of $600k it IS an issue.
So, here are my choices, ranked in order of preference (subject to change at a moment’s notice)
TOP 3
1. NE Arkansas
2. Tennessee
3. Northern Georgia
Also under consideration;
4. Kentucky (surprised, aren’t you!)
5. North Carolina
6. Missouri
7. South Carolina
No other areas interest me at this point.
We just hope you find happiness no matter the area you choose Stuck. 🙂
Thanks, friend. I don’t NEED to move from NJ to be happy.
I’m posting this vid again … of this remarkable young lady who is dying of cancer. She has a 2% chance of surviving. But, as she says, “Two percent isn’t zero!”. I wanna be like that. But, her money line is this …
“You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy.”
On a lunch break, but I will take a quick minute to say that even though you can be an asshole at times, I am thick-skinned and forgiving. If I lived near you I would bring you food, clean, and watch over your mom to give you a break and get out of the house for awhile. I imagine it’s stressful caring for an elderly parent. I’m sure my time will come.
It was a very difficult decision to leave my beautiful beloved Colorado (I’m a mountain girl at heart), love the beauty, just not the people and what they’ve done to the state. However, I made the jump and have been abundantly blessed. I have several neighbors that check on me often and take very good care of me. They’re generous with their time and have taught me a lot. I didn’t have that in CO. It’s made all the difference in a difficult move and a much needed change of lifestyle. God knew what he was doing when he settled me here. I just had to trust Him. I will pray for whatever blessings He sees fit for you. (even though that may not be your thing…I’m still going to do it!)
You are an absolute gem, Abigail. Thank you. it’s the thought that counts.
Honestly and truly, I’m only a big asshole on the internet. In real life I’m mostly mild and laid back. I said “mostly”.
I had a feeling, Stucky.
She was/is very sweet, isn’t she?
https://nypost.com/2021/08/03/agt-star-nightbirde-quits-show-after-shock-cancer-update/
I admire her for powering on against awful odds and pray she recovers.
” And curses on whoever thought it was a good idea to give me internet access.”
Well,I have been questioning that wisdom(?) for a couple of years!
So,you taking your online RE course, you gonna show homes might as well make some real bucks doing it.
Did you leave Maine out because of to many black flies?
I left out Maine also???? Jeebus! I was working on this until about 2AM … and I was exhausted from a challenging day with momma. So solly ….

The brain is the second thing to go from old age…
Most expensive feature in home-oh sapiens was voiced at least once per episode of House, M.D.: “Everybody lies.”
“I own my home” is one such whopper.
“I own your home” may be true when Black Rock says it, tho.
House also ordered lumbar punctures most episodes, which is a pretty expensive, lie on your side poke, too. But MD’s like to lie about owning big/expensive houses, so the more punctures, the better….
Take a look at what is happening in South Africa, especially to those people who thought they owned their home or business until they were informed that they did not!
Holy shit, Maggie. HOLY SHIT!!! Mesmerizing. And sad.
Feral niggers … more dangerous than mutant Covid.
I can’t believe AP is still wanting to move there.
Notice how brave people in the community band together with help from government nowhere to be found. I saw the same in the response to the floods in Germany. Farmers and construction workers doing most of the cleanup. The guy at 11:02 cleans up in style, too.
There are many orifices pertaining to the body-human that do not demand puncture. These have been explored in divers manners (if you will excuse the unintended pun).
Quum, Confucius say, “Man with forked tongue should not kiss balloon.”
Bye-opsy is another “procedure that seems prevalent as opposed to relevant. “You own your own body” until you do not by ‘dee-vine” providence or some other descriptor expected (as opposed to expectorated). The Fauci is in some of those details.
Hi Stucky. I was going to post a picture of the $50k Adobe house I live at, in CA – way out in the country of San Diego County in an area called Warner Springs. It’s everything I ever wanted. But I’m such a spoiler that I have to outpost even myself.
What I am looking forward to, now more than anytime before, is MY HOME IN HEAVEN.
With all that is going on today, I can not wait to get there.
All my best friends will be there – either already there (can’t wait to see my Mom) or are like me and awaiting “Our Day.”
I hope you are among us, Stucky. I honest to gosh do. Thanks for keeping us laughing.
Ken
What do you mean, you’d have to be crazy to live in South Carolina? I’m grateful to have found my forever home here – and our lifestyle has only been minimally impacted by the ‘Rona hysteria.
Stucky, nicely done again.
I think you should do one more with the most expensive houses in each Country based in US fiat.
LOL! There are about 270 countries in the world!! I’ll pass. However …… just for you, here is the most expensive home in Zimbabwe.
Koonazzciy / $1.99 / 185 sq ft / 1763
Tell us that the Peter Pan house in Homer, Alaska is not the place where B. Gates lures pre-teens for illicit purposes.
Thanks, Stuck. Great work.
Appreciate that. Just trying to think of interesting NON COVID stuff … that’s all.
Huge group of people for sale. If you have to ask how much, you can’t afford them:
What’s the point?
I’m right in the neighborhood of that Missouri home. Didn’t know I lived in such an exclusive location.
