Hump Day Tuneage

by the subway philosopher™

On occasion, celebrating the midweek hump with a selection of the most eclectic, impolite, disgraceful, head-banging, disturbing, badass, depraved, rebellious, decadent, kick-butt, disrespectful or just plain enjoyable rock n roll of its time feels like a perfectly responsible thing to do, for some reason. Or no reason at all. Crank it up!

Time to boycott the Eagles. No great loss – they’ve always been boring.

Eye candy for the ladies (or so I’m told). The Cult – Fire Woman

The hyper-talented mad hatter of music. Jethro Tull – Locomotive Breath

The greatest pure rock n roll tune of all time (busted nose edition). Van Halen – Panama

They gotta lot of nice girls there. Rest in peace, Dusty. ZZ Top – La Grange

In memoriam. Slipknot – Psychosocial

Boo, Eagles.

Great selections. This and SMC are must watch and listen. Lol @ Cult eye candy. Each to their own. It is a rockin’ song.

A comment in a post over the weekend prompted this.

Eric Clapton has said he won’t play any venue where vaccinations are required for show-goers. Good for him.

Eric is a good guy, and had some bad side effects from the vaxx…

Eagles are an iconic fave of mine. When the hormones kicked into high gear, they were there. But Henley & Frey (was) have always been, well, you know. “Political.” When Don Felder said “I guess” to Alan Cranston’s wife it was after already objecting to that final show being a fundraiser for the politician. Hell broke loose, then froze over.

Performing ~ all the world’s a stage ~ starts inside, then really gets inside too many heads, & negative feedback bleeds back out into everything, with (in minds so infected) the “same” authority/talent/skill/art etc. But performers work for me – not vice versa.

Paean. Paeon. Peon.

So, I listen to Eagles music, & that’s all I listen to from those guys. I’d listen to Clapton for the same reason, even if he (& Morrison) hadn’t spoke true about “the vaccine.”

As for concerts, way too many people, & “concert experience.” Another performance I’m not interested in.

Tull…I heard that when his daughter came home from school (band) & informed him his flute technique was all wrong, he relearned it so as to be in conformity with correct. Rock&Roll rebel, social commentator, missed an opportunity there.
