Hump Day Tuneage

by the subway philosopher™

On occasion, celebrating the midweek hump with a meticulously curated selection of the most disrespectful, impolite, disgraceful, badass, head-banging, disturbing, irreverent, rebellious, most enjoyable rock n roll of its time feels like a perfectly responsible thing to do, for some reason. Or no reason at all. Crank it up!

Mississippi band 3 Doors Down has decided not to play the game. Musicians who stand up for principle need support.

The America that was. Steppenwolf – Born To Be Wild

Stay all day… if you want to. PIXIES – Gouge Away

Texas rockers. GREENBEARD – Sativa Wizardia

A troubled history. AS I LAY DYING – Blinded

Rockin for a cause. Gojira – Amazonia

Re: Steppenwolf – The North America that was. The Sparrows was a Canadian blues rock band of the 1960s. Notable for being the first group to bring musician John Kay into the mainstream; the Sparrows later morphed into the popular heavy rock group Steppenwolf.

Back in the good old days when America was #1 and Canada was #2 in standard of living. Boy how times have changed.
