When the things you need to live your life on a daily basis are going up in excess of 10% and your government is saying they are going up at 5.4%, how do you feel? Terms like “inflation”, “purchasing power”, “private exchange” are no longer used in the media as they once were. I read an article about natural gas prices for this winter. They say gas will rise 30% this winter. Just paid my Sept. bill. Aug-Sept .24/therm to .35/therm. That is 32% and heating season is just about to start. Hang on wallet, we are going for a ride again.
It was already around 9% before the Covid scare.
I have really no idea what the true number is, currently, but it’s a lot higher than 9% for sure.
