Thank you for the kind words. When I first starting commenting, I never expected virtual friendships…or more. I came here just to process everything that had happened over the past two years, and then I started to realize I was not alone in my thinking.
I don’t give a ton of specific details about my life because I’m not sure who is reading. I think people I know come here, and I don’t want them to put two & two together. I am also still involved in some legal battles and need to be careful what say, just in case.
And, about that ‘more’ part…the past two years have been very eventful and stressful. The kind of stress that puts strains on relationships. Lots of things happened, including a relocation. Things were moving along just fine in my life prior to covid. The relationship I was/(am?) in suffered enormous amounts of stress. Now that the smoke has cleared some, I’m trying to see what, if anything, is salvageable. It kills me to let TPTB win.
It is very strange times. The past couple of years have broken up relationships, and now people just want to be with those who have similar thinking and who agree on the path necessary for any viable future. These are big factors in a relationship. So, I’m still trying to figure it all out.
In a different scenario, I would be breaking down the virtual walls to be with a like-minded person. But…I’m not at that point yet.

I hope once you “figure it out” you find you’ve come to the conclusion that being with a like minded person in the important things is the right call. What is important is up to each of us to decide, of course. Personally, I think the important things are the 10 Commandments, the Constitution and The Bill of Rights. Can’t go wrong with those 3, IMO. As far as me and the choice I made in finding a mate, I went for the sex. Wrong call. Our relationship is pretty good but things wear off after some time and then you realize you’ve got to “make it work”. So far, so good.
When Covid hit, I was unsure of what was going on. Online blogs (for me it has always been TBP and Patrick.net) have been great places for me to “figure things out”. No one knows everything but, remember the TV game show called “Who Wants to be a Millionaire”? How many times is the crowd wrong when the contestant wants to “Ask The Audience”?
After the 2 weeks to flatten the curve (my wife insisted I take my clothes off at the door and take a shower before I did anything else), I was convinced that it was a psyop and told my wife that I was done with the bullshit (interestingly, I NEVER wore or have worn a mask anywhere but on the job but even then only about 1% of the time (I live in Northern Va.)). We almost got divorced. It took about 2 months for her to listen to me. I sent her memes because, like most people, she simply cannot take the time to THINK for herself and memes are very effective when trying to make a very quick and visceral(?) point. It took time but I did not back down. I used the man hand, if you know what I mean…:) LOL.
