Trump v. DeSantis: Advantage, DeSantis

Trump v. DeSantis: Advantage, DeSantis

Things keep changing. A few months ago I thought Trump would not run. Then I thought he would run. Now, I don’t think so once again. And one of the tells is the subtle shot he took at DeSantis over vaccines. The fact is that Trump, if he runs, is not a shoo-in. And this could be an epic battle for the chance to beat Kamala Harris like a drum in 2024. And, at least according to people like you who took my most recent Twitter poll, Trump is not a shoo-in. He’s dropped to just one-third support from nearly half six months ago. If he wants to win Round Two, he’ll have to fight for it.

But my gut is again telling me that 75-year-old Donald Trump will not run in 2024. Perhaps if the election was next week, but with it three years off, that’s a lot of time and he’s aging out. Does he want to follow President Crusty’s lead and decline on camera over the next seven years (three campaigning, four in office)? Is anyone more sensitive to such things than Trump? Maybe not.

But he still likes being the big dog, and he resents those coming along behind him who neglect to recognize. The purported shot at DeSantis over jabs last week seems significant. Trump is super proud of his vaccines, which is definitely not where the base is at right now. Does he know that? He’s off in his own world and TV does not reflect the depth of the anti-COVID dissension. He did a rally in Arizona and that’s nice, but the more he defends his COVID record – which includes not firing that malignant dwarf Fauci – the less the base is going to dig his rap.

No one hates Trump in the GOP. Everyone still here is grateful to him for what he did. But this is not about gratitude. It is about what he did for us lately. Is it possible that the support for Trump ’24 is a mile wide and an inch deep? That people have not yet really thought it through? I can tell you that among a lot of the hardcore name conservatives – whose conservative credentials are beyond question – there are a lot of people ready to say, “Thanks, here’s a gold watch.”

A lot.

I did another Twitter poll on Trump v. DeSantis, which is unscientific yet still more scientific than the people telling you to wear a face thing and take a vaccine that doesn’t work as advertised. My previous one in June had Trump 45.7%, DeSantis 50.1% and others 4.1%. This week’s poll was Trump 33.4%, DeSantis 59.7% and others 6.9%.

That’s a big drop for Trump among my hardcore audience. Two-thirds now are looking elsewhere.

Ron DeSantis is the candidate du jour. Now, he is totally focused, as he must be, both on his sick wife and on winning the 2022 governor’s race. If either of those do not work out well, he can’t run. Further, he gains nothing picking a fight with Trump now. But if Trump does run, he will have to, because 2024 is the DeSantis year. In 2028, he will be an ex-governor and who knows what the issues look like or what the Dem bench looks like then?

What if they fight? What if King Kong takes on Godzilla?

Does DeSantis hit Trump on COVID mistakes? Trump would double-down, because he is Trump, but the base is clearly in the DeSantis corner on that issue. DeSantis would run on the fact that he has the same lib fighter vibe as the Bad Orange Man but that he actually governs, where Trump was (and would be again) tied up with all sorts of investigations, impeachments and, yes, mean tweets.

While Trump has the gravitas of an ex-president, that he would be pulled down to the same platform as all the contenders (DeSantis would not be the only one) and this would make him look smaller. He would hate that. In contrast, as kingmaker, he will tower over the race – this would support him not running. But in a real primary, Trump’s current popularity can only shrink as people look at other candidates and some of them slip away.

For many of us, the question is not one of personalities. Politicians are fungible. Yes, Trump got shafted – I saw that lawyering after the election. But this is not about Trump, nor about gratitude. It’s about winning. Here’s my candidate, and I think the candidate of many others: The Based Guy Who Is Most Likely to Win.

It could be Trump again. Or it could be DeSantis. Or it could be someone else, though at this point they are all footnotes.

The key contest now is Trump v. DeSantis. But, for this bout to happen, DeSantis has to get past his two challenges and decide he will do it. Then Trump has to decide what he will do. None of that is remotely ascertainable today. But if that fight comes, it will be epic.

Trump has had my full support but I agree it is time for him to kick back. Desantis is the future.
He will get my vote.

I have come to the conclusion that Trump Derangement Syndrom would be more of the same if Trump were to run and win. Better to have a candidate that can win, and not have the hate spewed out by the idiots of the left media and pols.

Don’t kid yourself. DeSantis Derangement Syndrome will be just as bad, if not worse than Trump Derangement Syndrome. It is a generic strategy for the Dems, not about any one candidate. Look what they did to closet libs, like Bush and Romney.

Sure the Liberals will sling mud, it’s their core doctrine of “Critical Theory” but will the mud stick to DeSantis like it did to Trump, Romney, Nixon, etc or will it miss or slide off like Eisenhower.

I think there are more independents and moderate Dems who would be willing to vote for DeSantis than for Trump. I think DeSantis would give conservatives a better chance. It’s probably in the left’s best interest not to take Trump down right now. They could let him and DeSantis damage one another and should Trump win, they may be able to beat him in 2024.

Why vote for Trump when you can vote for DeSantis? Just like why vote for Hillary when you can vote for Trump? It’s all relative when there are only two choices.

What difference does it make when the Democrats (with GOPe complicity) are going to cheat again via “mail-in ballots” in the urban areas of the swing states that they control?

They got away with it in 2020, they’ll keep getting away with it from now on.

Exactly. If the Trump administration and the GOP couldn’t stop election fraud when Trump was president, what chance would they have in 2024 with Biden president? That fact seems to elude most people on the right. But it doesn’t really matter what the right (or the left) want, the winner in 2024 will be whoever the NWO wants to win, just has it has been ever since JFK. And yes, that includes 2016. Trump won because the NWO wanted him to win (for reasons that I have discussed in previous comments), and there was very likely election fraud in that election to ensure that he won.

I’m not familiar with your previous comments detailing why you believe the NWO wanted Trump to win. I’d like to know what you think.

The NWO needed Trump to ensure the success of the scamdemic that they knew was coming.

The primary reason was to have him be the Judas goat to get the Right to accept the scamdemic tyranny. The (armed) Right would have resisted the tyranny if Hillary had been president when it started in early 2020. By January of 2021 they knew the Right had become conditioned to the tyranny, so they put Biden in office to accomplish whatever their goals are for the next few years.

The secondary reason was to induce TDS in the Left. That TDS was then channeled to everyone that the Left perceived to be a supporter of, or in agreement with, Trump. That includes, at least in their minds, almost everyone who doesn’t believe the COVID-19 official narrative, and especially those that they perceive to be anti-vax. That is the main reason that the Left is so rabidly pro-vax and pro all the scamdemic tyranny (masks, lockdowns, etc).

I think Trump is finished. There are 3 factors weighing him down. 1) Operation Warp Speed. By November the entire world will know ‘vaccines’ were a horrendous mistake. 2) He’s already despised by half the country and much of the other half don’t think it’s time for sending stupid tweets instead of taking on the elites who wish to enslave the entire world. 3) Melania. She didn’t supply him with young pussy to live in a dump, put up with the inane shit 1st ladies must do, and live away from the West Chester crowd she loves. If Trump wants to get laid in the white house he’d better bring back Stormy.

3) She did not live at the WH, especially after the fumigator finally admitted the smell from the previous occupant would never go away and quit in disgust. She lived nearby with her parents and Baron in Maryland. Traveled enough to keep from getting bored, and often to what was to become home at Mar Largo. Didn’t play the First Lady role to tiring excess-mainly when it was easy, fun, or really had high perceived value. Probably had the smallest staff in modern times-at least since Bess Truman. Her beauty probably brought more to her role than had she busted butt and wore herself out with all the trivial crap-a pretty smart plan.

IMO, DeSantis won’t run for the big office. Not solid on this as anything can change in the next three years. But contributing factors, his wifes cancer, his kids are very small and he’s doing very well in Florida. WHY… would anyone want to leave Florida and go to a vile rat infested swamp like DC?!?!?

Secondly Trump will run, his ego won’t let him sit on the sidelines. The campaign has started with the ‘Save America’ kick off. I’ve stated repeatedly he thinks he’s gonna save murica from the commies. The Vax will be memory holed and narratives changed to mitigate damage to his image… “I was all for free choice.”

Bottom line is I think, between now and the election, the spin machine will polish and preen the citizenry into thinking trumps the guy to get things done. They’ll hand him the keys to the kingdom… then watch it go down the toilet when he gets unfettered power… IMO…

I agree – who would want to live in the shithole that DC has become? Why put up with the endless stream of liars and the politics of a broken legislature? How many executive orders does it take to make a king out of any president?

I see the country being forced into states rights contests already – much better to be a gov than prez of the asylum the US has devolved into. There are more and more who simply ignore edicts issued by ANY branch – and they do not even see this due to their bubble environment…

Floridians don’t want to give up DeSantis for a lot of reasons. He is fighting Vote Fraud and his latest effort is a request for $million new state funds to create a new state police agency just to investigate vote fraud (a real problem in South Florida).

There is absolute proof that the present site of the Jewish “Wailing Wall” in Jerusalem is NOT any part of the Temple that existed in the time of Herod and Jesus. In fact, that particular location that the Jewish authorities have accepted represents the Western Wall of an early Roman fortress (finally built and enlarged by Herod the Great). King Herod called it Fort Antonia, after the famous Mark Anthony who lived at the end of the first century before Christ.

Butt…oops I mean but…all these Wailing Wall prayers are at ‘THE WRONG WALL’.

In a book that is being heralded as “an investigative masterpiece” with “astounding archaeological and prophetic implications,” TEMPLE: Amazing New Discoveries That Change Everything About the Location of Solomon’s Temple, by Robert Cornuke, is sending shockwaves through the Jewish, Muslim, and Christian worlds.

Can you imagine the upheaval in political and religious thinking if the Temple Mount in Jerusalem is not the site of Solomon’s and Herod’s temples? And what if the stones of the Wailing Wall are not what tradition says?

In this highly-researched, exciting book, the author proposes from current archaeological excavations and Scriptural corroboration that the true temple location is not where tradition teaches. This is must reading for anyone who wants to fit together the pieces of biblical records, current geo-politics, and prophecy.

Says the author, “Let the adventure begin as we now take the Bible in one hand and a shovel in the other and dig up some long-lost buried bones of biblical history. Along the way we will walk unknown passageways, known only to the prophets of old, as we search for the true location of the lost temples of Solomon and Herod. We will also lift a candle into the dim recesses of history and uncover secrets about the Ark of the Covenant and the gold Mercy Seat’s prophetic obligation as it relates to the future Millennial temple.”
