If only Ukraine had birthright citizenship and a French statue in a harbor with a poem granting universal passage to any poor and downtrodden desiring a better life or even just better pay. Russia could simply send them their greatest strength, to do the jobs that Ukrainians won’t do, so crops would stop rotting in the fields, so lettuce would never cost $10 a head, and so they could all rejoice in the spreading of freedom and democracy.
Without a shot being fired, in two generations Ukraine would no longer be racist and xenophobic by being full of Ukrainians, but instead be an Economy, where the most important questions would no longer be about what is best for the people of Ukraine, but instead whether or not the possession of paperwork entitled residents to get stuff and make “votes” for the democracy gods that promises them the most stuff from the treasury.
Conveniently, anyone suggesting the mere lack of paperwork does not make the greatest strength Real Ukrainians would be removed from polite society and marginalized in every other “national conversation” as obvious racists and Ukraine supremacist.
The US State Dept. seems to think Ukraine is for Ukrainians. Which is hateful and literally Hitler. Also, any talk of pipelines and “green” energy and F-35 sales and 10% to the Big guy is hateful and irrelevant. We should totally vote them all out next time.
