This is a serious article today from the NY Post. A couple scholars asked more than 500 test subjects to sort through thousands of computer-generated faces and repeatedly choose which face of a random pair looked more divine. Blending the panel’s 153,000 choices into a single image produced this image of God ……
The Good News? God is white and a HANDSOME male.
The bad news? God looks a lot like Elon Musk.
.
I am one thousand percent convinced that NOT ONE PERSON in the history of humanity has correctly depicted what God looks like. I am one thousand percent convinced that every single one of you Believers who has a mental image of what God looks like …. will be in for one HELLUVA surprise!!
God picked the Jews to be his people. As such, if I were cornered into describing what God looks like, I would have to say a short Jew with a beard and curly sideburns.
Anyway, I honestly thought it was an interesting article. Seriously, I’ve done some studying on this …. on how Christians have depicted God in art over the past thousand years. Anything from a pussified soy-boi to the fiercest warrior imaginable, and everything in-between. It says a lot more about US, than anything even remotely true about God.
Agreed, Stucky. No one has gotten it or will ever get it right. Can’t wait for his return.
Downvoting what, exactly?
Coward
Trust me on this one, Meg… there are a LOT of cowards here on TBP.
Sycophants here tend to be rather impassioned to a single point of view at times, and always cowardly.
Hi Maggie, thank you and nice to meet you.
Namesake Margaret, by chance?
Noper… name is Martha and last name (married) is Gar….. and it became Margar in the USAF, then Margret, and then Maggie.
Ghost of Maggie because of a long story from far away.
Has to do with sycophants and cowards.
More than a few of them here, Meg.
Ghost is right for sure, this is her backyard. I would add that anytime mention is made of ‘His return’ will just about guarantee one.
Preterism, a Christian eschatological view, interprets some (partial preterism) or all (full preterism) prophecies of the Bible as events which have already happened.
I am not one of that holds that view, for sure.

fwiw; several around here seem to hate Paul
It is not that some seem to hate Paul, it is the strange belief that for some reason it is only “Paul’s Gospel”, and that the rest of the New Testament is of no use, even the very words of The Lord Jesus Christ, the very Son Of God and God Himself should be discounted due to a belief they were directed to the Jews. This belief is called Hyper-Grace, and even Paul warned and condemned this man worship in 1 Corinthians 1:10-25.
Personally I came to know the Lord, or Born Again through the reading of the Gospels. Paul’s writing would have been of no use because I would never have understood them except through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. They are wonderful writings and explain Grace and how Christ loves us, but even then he was only a man, one of many.
“…the rest of the New Testament is of no use, even the very words of The Lord Jesus Christ, the very Son Of God and God Himself should be discounted due to a belief they were directed to the Jews.”
No use? Discounted? The very words of the Son of God and of God Himself?
First of all, those words WERE directed at a certain group of people. Read them. Israel is the subject matter of the OT and in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. To them were given the oracles of God and to them did God manifest in the flesh. Never in the entire history of my posting here, as this comment is clearly directed at me, have I EVER said that ANY words of the Bible should be DISCOUNTED in any way. Every word is imperative. NOT every word is a direct instruction to you.
You are the one who is fooled into thinking the “red letters” are somehow more important than other words. This is how churchianity controls you, by putting you back under the law after telling you that grace saves. In actuality EVERY word of that blessed book belongs to God as it was His Spirit inspired every one.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJB… “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”
Hyper-dispensationalism (get your jargon straight) is a position also known as Acts 28 dispensationalism. Mid-Acts dispensationalism is abundantly demonstrably correct no matter how you slice it.
Paul’s gospel IS the gospel that saves TODAY. If you think otherwise I question your salvation in the hopes that you rethink it. You will not find what Paul says in the Hebrew epistles… (or in Matthew, Mark, Luke or John) that’s why they are called the Hebrew epistles; they are for those believing Hebrews that must “endure to the end to be saved.” You have to endure nothing. Christ endured everything for you. You are required only to trust in Christ’s shed blood as payment in full for your sin condition.
Show me those words anywhere in the Bible other than in Paul’s letters.
The downvotes speak volumes, Pastor.
No matter. God will come, and God will judge.
Man will choose what side he chooses.
There is not much else to say or do.
Choose a side, and go where that leads.
Choose wisely.
They do indeed speak volumes. What’s more, no replies to my challenge. Sometimes I really start to believe most cherish their ignorance; as if ignorance will somehow absolve them from responsibility. That’s just not me and, it won’t.
I post the things that I do in order to see souls saved and saints edified. To hopefully see people come together around scripture; to help them understand the whole of it. It is the reason God leaves us here. If we had no purpose, He may as well just “disappear” us upon salvation!
It’s so simple when once seen. The book makes perfect sense front to back, side to side, up and down, inside and out. Here’s the entirety of it in an hour for those with a heart to know…
God is an old man with a white beard in a white robe sitting in glowing clouds…..
OR since we are created in His image, he looks like you.
… apparently he shaves now
Proof positive that image ain’t God.
God has a long white beard.
Your answer reminds me more of what “Father Time” looks like.
One and the same.
I think that Father Time is another name for Chronos.
It is the premise that is faulty.
God didn’t say the jews were his chosen. The jews said they were the chosen. There is no god.
In addition to that they are not even Jews. They are Edomite kabbalist Satan worshipping
Imposters.
This
I sent an email, left a comment for you over on 5G thread. I’ve been looking into Acts 17. I would have some questions…..
Ordo. OK I’ll check it.
Ordo did you send it to [email protected]
It hasn’t come up yet buddy.
Sources? Citations?
You must be new here.
Hush yoursef girl.
Just out of Egypt, God chose Israel as his firstborn, like a firstborn son, among the nations. With that designation came responsibilities, but it did not include permission to oppress other nations or people groups. The tyrannical attitude stemming from being chosen comes from the Talmud, and wasn’t what God had intended. The ones who insist the loudest that they are chosen are those who say they are Jews and are not.
Good for you!
You are right, and all of humanity in every culture throughout all time is wrong about God.
Any more wisdom to impart on us?
The hubris is unfathomable.
I’ve always imagined him as a lion. I got that from somewhere. Faulty thinking?
You’re one smart fella.
God looks like everything around you, every person you see, every tree or rock. You cannot separate God from this plane into a mere human looking person. God is in everything in his creation , the creation is God. Some people like Fidelito and Joe B. are mucking it up. All ya need to do is come together and ask God to clean house. Ask and ye shall receive, start asking. Like the Beatles hinted, “Come Together”.
GREATER is HE that is in me, than he that is in the world.
Yes and Amen.
Well said. We all have the Divine spark within us; this is what makes us live, move, and have our being. Without the divine spark, we would all just be inanimate soulless being with no purpose.
While we debate what or who God looks like here is what Satanism looks like.

After receiving a Pfizer vaccination Katrina Hermez, 28 was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder
“This is a direct injury from the Pfizer vaccine.”
Satanism is evil for evil’s sake; disease, suffering and death for it’s own sake.
Katrina Hermez on Instagram Jan 2022-
“I have to speak out… I had my first jab because I was made to believe it was the correct thing to do by our government. But a week after, now, it changed my life and turned it on its head. I am now having – full-body paralysis, seizures, speech issues, nearly diagnosed amnesia, migraines every day, blood in my ear, vertigo, nausea, and more. I want my story to be heard to save others from this happening to them.” –
Satanism is all about destroying the Life Force and all that is beautiful, joyous, healthy, good and true. Our society is run by a satanic cult, Freemasonry, i.e. Cabalist Judaism.
We’ve been programmed by these bastards. Not being aware of the Masonic Jewish conspiracy can cause injury or death.
symptoms.jpgThis young woman’s life has been ruined by Pfizer. We must hold these criminals responsible, including public health officials, media and politicians.
Reader MS writes- “There is an occult blood economics to this–it is not evil and death for its own sake. Satanist humans gain favors from and dominion over serving demons / jinn in proportion to the death and misery they cause. This is how sorcery works. Small timers sacrifice chickens. Big timers sacrifice children and entire populations. In return, their worldly power increases.”

Flea, spot on. Straight up evil.
I’m pretty sure he looks like Gandolf.
No. That is a sodomite pederast in a costume.
If we are nominating individuals then I nominate, George Burns.
Nick from New Jersey,
You know I hold you in the fount of agape love, having lost my own father along with yours, and having passed through the valley of death unscathed along with your beloved, emerging a Ghost of my former self.
My mother has been pushed into a nursing home by my siblings, with them gathering around her to prevent me from getting whatever they fear I might take from a legacy of my father’s which can never be restored. The poor man so bewildered by Alzheimers he forgot he was King Lear to me, yet he still sent me away.
I hope your dear mother passes with ease, as I hope for my own mother. God has been really good to me and if you ever want a place to rest, you and your friends are welcome here.
Now, as for what I think Jesus looks like? He looks like pure Love, Forgiveness, and Joy.
PROVE ME WRONG!
See what I did there?
That was beautiful, Ghost. Your words, specifically.
Thanks, Abigail.
As I said, Mother and I built a bridge, but others have stood in the gap, praying.
The Divine is everything that is, and is beyond description, outshined by the brightest of light that transcends everything. How could it be otherwise?
The desperate need to anthropomorphize the divine is likely what turns most people away from organized religion. I know it’s one of the things that turned me off and kept me an atheist for so long.
Beautifully said. The Varaigi master Rebazaar Tarz, in Stranger by the River, says that every man is right in his thinking of God, but also wrong. Gods kingdom is so wonderful we can only get a vague idea of it in our puny minds.
The God of the New Testament is not a physical being, it’s a spiritual force we know as the Holy Spirit. The Holy spirit can be contacted in three basic ways, Mentally, and Sound and Light. So, God is never a man or woman. If you see God as a man or woman, you are delusional. But yes, there are instruments of God, in the west we call them Sons of God, in the east they are referred to as Godmen. As Soul, we all have a spark of the divine in us.
The old testament is a different story. They had visitations from many different physical beings. This ties in directly with the ancient aliens theory.
(paraphrasing) God told one of his prophets who wanted to see his face that if he showed him his face he would have to kill him or seeing his face would kill him or something like that. I’m cooking dinner so I can’t look for the passage or I would.
Isn’t that why God sent a burning bush to chat with Moses?
That was Moses. Exodus 34:20. “But He said, ‘You cannot see my face, for no man can see my face and live.'”
FWIW
The Old Testament writings claimed God appeared to Moses looking like this:
But in reading the New Testament Gospels today, many Christians believe God walked on earth looking like this:
However, Isaiah prophesied that Jesus would not be such a handsome man:
“For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.”
– Isaiah 53:2
And yet, in modernity, it would seem most people would hope for God to be, at least, telegenic.
He was supposed to be ordinary, not overly handsome nor ugly. Plain, so to speak.
God is a spirit, his physical manifestation is Yahshua/Jesus. I don’t have any picture in my mind of what God looks like. As for Yahshua, I know that the modern Jesus pictures are not correct, and I think that the black Messiah depictions are even more incorrect. He probably looks more like the modern Shemites, and I don’t mean the poseur Khazarians.
Anybody here read the book “The Shack”?
If not, it will rock your world of perceptions, with anger, bitter heartache, and ultimately, forgiveness.
IIRC,
Jesus was not a handsome dude, looked very middle eastern, with a hook nose. Think Jamie Farr.
God was an overly large black WOMAN.
The movie wasn’t nearly as good as the book.
The Bible states that God is spirit.
And, who knows what spirit “looks” like.
I read it, had high Hope’s, but found it boring and uninspiring. Maybe I wasn’t in the right state of being at the time. I should revisit it.
I think Jesus looks like a surfer dude.
I rented this movie during that weird cluster of months after the quarantine began and sort of never really ended on television. Except out here in the countryside, where the federal government is an entity that sends someone out to check our deer tags and make sure we aren’t poaching on our own fucking land (Shame on the game warden; shame, shame, shame.) Well, out here? A mask might get you killed.
However, my son was here for a few months and my old road guard was still alive reliving the days of marching up and down and around the square because the sky was blue and off we were to go, into that wild blue yonder. And, after we watched The Shack with my husband beside him, then me, and then him. With me beside our son the whole time.
My son said, “Mom, that was surprisingly good for one of your family time movies.”
I gave him the book, he stayed the night and said he’d finished it when he left after breakfast the next day.
He reads very fast and very intently. Like his grandfather. It’s eerie.
Pilate gave a description of him to Rome. Or, rather his appearance when he became human for sinners to be able understand Him.
http://bibleprobe.com/pilate2.htm
Yup. He was white. That isn’t the only account either. People are just too badly misinformed to believe anything not approved by the Company.
You mean this isn’t him???
that last bit is an age old truth: in all places and all ages, mens’ description of god tells us about ourselves much more than it tells us about god!
Of course ‘God’ does not look like anything. That which is truly transcendent is beyond all categories and polarities. The same force that is transcendent is also imminent in every fiber of matter including ourselves.
A white man?
Yes. Are you surprised? You shouldn’t be.
Morgan Freeman hardest hit.
Any opportunity to denigrate Christians or Americans, eh? No one who reads scripture would have participated in such an obtuse survey. Because it only gives you an opportunity to then hoist them on their own petard.
And anyway, what they chose is a friendly face. One that inspires comfort.
