In the USA, it has been deliberate that the screws have not been turned on those armed citizens who will fight for their God given rights. They only turn the screws on those already broke and demoralized, hoping it will frighten the rest into compliance. It won’t.
Nobody around here wears a masks or entertains the notion of sacrificing their bodily autonomy.
The USDA people will come walk around my land and talk like old friends, but if you go to their building it will be boarded up and by appointment only. To meet out doors at a little table outside the doors, where the masked employee can engage in mandated covid theater. It is just too much for country folk to swallow.
Here are some things that have been done, and the armed citizens have made not a whimper:

Pandemic controls and mandates
Loss of privacy to data mining and recording
Police protected from legal recourse
Taxation of citizens no matter where on earth the live
Confiscation of passports for tax debt
Loss of liberties if within 50 miles of borders
Loss of right to a secured border
Loss of right to honest elections
Income tax and right to not have your taxes redistributed
Inheritance taxes
Assassination of US citizens without trial
Loss of financial privacy
Etc etc etc.
Armed citizens have done nothing so far, and I support that decision. But what makes you think that they will fight for their God given rights? Because they have not.
Bearing arms is a one way street. Once you go down that street you cannot return. Your life will be forever changed or perhaps even lost. Few will use a weapon until it is the only way available. I truly believe nearly all gun owners have their line in the sand. My line also serves as my property line.

While I have no firm proof, I suspect that many millions of true Americans are quietly and carefully living up to their beliefs, but not making a big deal about it. It is part of the process called “nullification.”

Nullification goes on around us everyday, some of it is positive in preserving rights and liberties, some of it negative seeking just destruction (BLM and its ilk?). Those of us seeking positively to live our rights and liberties don’t have organization, stated principles and objectives. We need that organization on a national level.
I think it’s 100 miles now. They expanded it to include my house after I moved further north a few years back. Nosy caulksuckers.
Gentlemen, with all due respect – there are no lines that they have not already crossed. They tax your property, and if you do not pay, they will take it from you by force. They tax your labour. They allow police thugs to attack you, and you are not allowed to defend yourself. They can seize your assets if you are driving along, without charging you of any crime. They attack your children with vac mandates and indoctrination. They tax what you buy. They redistribute to the unworthy and the govt drones what they take from you by force. They subvert the democratic process. They force you to serve people against the tenants of your religion. They spy on your private dealings. On and on it goes.
There is no line they have not crossed. For those of you saying “this is my line” – they have already crossed it. I cannot think of a single line they have not already crossed. It is a matter only of degree. Once you let the camel get its nose in the tent, it is in the tent – only the degree then matters. And make no mistake – they are in the tent. The best you can hope for is to be left relatively alone – pay your taxes, pretend you own your property, and try to protect your children and family, which is harder and harder. But they will incrementally keep boiling the frog. All lines have been crossed – financial, property, religious, family, liberty – all of them have been crossed.
It is what the majority want, so there it is.

I have been hearing for over a decade on TBP about how the US citizens have guns, and the govt better be careful because they know how to use them. It has never happened, is highly unlikely to happen, and should not happen in a democracy where the majority of people, idiots that they are, are getting exactly what they vote for and want.
But it is too funny to see all the folks puff up and say “I will be pushed this far, and no further! Ok ok, I mean this far! No, this far, and I am serious this time! Ok, you better watch out, I mean it this time!” Please, it is all bluff and bluster. They keep pushing, and Americans, and Aussies, and Austrians, and et al just keep backing up.
I will be the first on board for a peaceful protest. I would love to see some actual leadership, first, but that is too much to ask. If someone were to suggest we all stay home for say a month, don’t buy anything, don’t go to work, and demand that all mandates be lifted, I am in. TPTB would fold like a cheap tent. But fact is, there is very, very limited support. It is how it is. So I do what I can, teach those I can, try to be involved in a community, and be a good citizen in general. I think people are slowly waking up, one at a time. An economic collapse is possibly the only way to wake up large numbers. That will get very ugly, as the drones and parasites will not like having the tear yanked, and the honest hard working sorts are going to be real pissed losing all they have worked for, having bought into the mirage.
Our only consolation is all those brown nose lackeys will soon be dead from the cure.
What person that is smart and wise enough to see what is going on is going to be foolish enough to pit himself against the powers of these lands? Will he gamble on the whim of the mob or will he stay where he is and do the best for his sphere of influence?

Arrived at the slow roll freedom protest here in Osoyoos early, about 12:00pm. There was about 20 – 30 people around at the time. Global TV showed up then, to film the very low turnout so they can broadcast that the trucker protest is a no show. They were invited to leave.
As of 3:30pm there was approx 3000 people there and still going strong. PLENTY of cops for our town. Last week there was about six cops. Todays turnout was about 12 cars with two cops per car, not including the border agents which was about another 8. They did nothing but stood at the exit of the border crossing into canukistan.
All in all… much bigger turnout and a lot of smiles… those smiles turned to snarl’s when baby castro was mentioned. People from Northern BC, Vanderhoof, Prince George and a fella from Chile spoke saying the same thing there is manifesting here and we need to fight with everything we have to resist the plague of communism.
One thing very apparent, the more baby castro gets thuggish, the more people turn against them. The resolve is stronger than ever.

There were a LOT, 80% plus of young people and YOUNG families there. They are awake and the ones I talked to say the same things, we are at war and they are scared for their children. Lots of angry momma bears.

I wouldn’t leave healthcare workers out of the strike. If you are in, you are in. Only those that are involved with aged care folks and those in critical care might be exempt. The pain needs to be severe, society wide, and immediate if it is to work.
Fuck the police. I can live without them just fine for a very long time. Matter of fact, I don’t think I have ever needed one in my life for anything. I maybe asked directions once in Athens. I think me and my noerboel swell be just fine for a few weeks. I figure I have enough food, and if I run out of dog food, there are always intruders to fall back on.

Do I want a 9mm, a .38 or a .45 etc? Personally, I think the 9mm is the go to for personal defense. It can come in many sizes. There are now quite small 9mm guns that can hold 15 rounds in a magazine. That is quite a good number of rounds for self defense. It also has a manageable recoil AND the FBI has done extensive studies on calibers. They determined, all things considered, that the 9mm is the best carry caliber. It is very rarely the size of the caliber that killed someone. No, it is about placement. I think you will find it standard that most LEOs and military carry the 9mm…there’s a reason.
The best weapon is the one you have at the moment. Don’t have what you want on you? It can happen so use what you do have while trying to retreat.

I never liked 9mm until I realized my wife needs a gun.
ANY calibre, even a 22 can and is deadly. Its placement. The 9mil is popular because most don’t have the hand strength to control the bigger rock chuckers. Plus ammo is plentiful and cheaper.
The bigger calibres have more energy dispersment and announce the FIBS factor sooner and tend to help drain the desire to continues further attacks on yourself.
But like Flea mentioned… Learn to recognize a weapon and how to use it, if needed. The first Borne movie showed a little of this with a rolled up magazine or a pen. Magazine becomes a baton and distance striker, the pen a perforator. Best defense, recognize a danger before getting into it and a tactical retreat, get outta there. Doesn’t apply to home defense.
Yes, hand strength was a problem (in my case). Still not easy with 9mm…it takes the strength of both arms to rack (moving in opposite direction). Hopefully, the adrenaline rush will provide the necessary strength to rack quickly if the needed ever arises.

From an rcmp guy I used to shoot with from our gun club. Most rcmp barely shoot their guns and they will practice a couple times before their qualifying test they do periodically.
When that guy shot a sentinel at the memorial site and then ran into the parliamentary building every rcmp and security ran to get some shots on this guy. There were bullet impacts everywhere, it was like they poured a gravel truck at this guy. The guy was shot and killed by an officer who laid on the floor and slide out from concealment and put a few rounds into him from about 1o ft away.
How many rounds will it hold?
If you need 15 rounds for defense, you’re sprayin’ and prayin’.

Towing companies have been conscripted I think. Quite possibly not their fault – do it or else is their option.

That’s fine if you are solvent enough to survive the wait without income from towing and if the bank will carry your note during that time and if you are single with no dependants. I can do the Or Else option but when the wife was alive and we had a mortgage, my or else option got way more complicated.
Those new towing rigs cost too much for the average tow truck driver to pay cash for and if they impound it indefinitely I have to survive with no income while going through government hurdles to get it back.
Sales of things taken during asset seizures is a big business and I ay end up bidding for my own tow truck a year later.
My point is we must resist smarter not harder. Why are we using their rulebook to resist. Protesting was baked into their cake and they are ready for dealing with it because it’s playing by their rules.
Thats all understandable. For a tow operator its a choice between losing your business do to an illegal government action or losing it from your customers because you acted against your customers.
For me, the choice is easy. I lean on the one that never changes, Christ. Since my injuries I’ve had no other choices and they are hard lessons learned. Scriptures, principles and doing what I know to be right are my guide. nothing else matters.

10 yrs ago I took a job loading trucks for a local aseptic bottling company. They produced Hortons coffee, and would ship out a hundred truck loads a week to Canada, the majority of which were Sikh drivers.
They are armed at all times, and taking one blade from them does not disarm them. I saw some really nice weapons, beautifully crafted.
The ones they ‘show’ are ceremonial and can’t be removed from the sheath. Its display purposes but like you say it ain’t the only one they have.
I chatted with half a dozen Sikhs yesterday. I think they’re angrier than whitey. It’s a warrior culture mind you. They’re nice people until you push them too far.
