You are so lucky. My parents are in their 70’s and are dyed in the wool msnbc watchers. I love them, but our discussions are extremely superficial and when any topic with any substance starts to work its way back to base principles, the conversation completely breaks down and at times turns extremely ugly. It is sad.

I’ve never found a good way of having positive dealings with the collectivist authoritarian filth in our midst. There are really 3 classes of political people. Those conservatives who know and understand why they are conservative, those who know why they are far left (or sure think they know), and then there are the clueless ones who just absorb the media as truth. Sadly I live with one of the 3’rd class. I cook dinner while she watches NBC. It saves a lot of arguments which 100% of the time would have devolved into her saying a) Your a bad person, b) you don’t read, I do , and gets smoking mad if I actually engage in rational discussion using facts. JP is absolutely 100% right about these blow up confrontations occurring and cannot be resolved. Maybe obviously fake sarcastic agreement is one path, but I choose to excuse myself from the situation as it is hopeless.
Instead I’ve chosen to take it out on the city council in public forum. I talk, they pretend to listen, and I take comfort MAYBE one person out there listening gets a piece of what I have to say.

Sometimes you need to step away from current events and take a stroll through history and have a look at the narratives from times past. My two favorites are Civil Defense films from the Atomic Age and the Reefer Madness genre.
The Civil Defense films are hysterical as no one on Earth believes that you can protect yourself from a hydrogen bomb by covering your head with a newspaper but that is what the government told people to do. No one on Earth believes that lighting off an atomic bomb and then marching guys around in the dust and fallout is a good idea but that is what the government did to roughly 250,000 men.
Have her watch those and since she 100% believes everything told to her by the “authorities”, have her defend the “authorities” from times past. After all, believing a paper mask will stop a virus is as stupid as believing a piece of paper will protect you from a hydrogen bomb. You’d have to be the dumbest person on planet Earth to believe either one of those.

He recently wanted to move to Florida…but career considerations got in the way.
But some of the worse problems I have is with good right of center folks who have been swallowing the Rah Rah Red White and Blue bullshit their entire lives, and don’t underside the massive corruption and controlled opposition from the Republicans. They often also have no clue on in-depth real history and still cling to controlled opposition media.

I have read articles that all vaccines shed. But I take it like this. I have many harmful bacteria and cancer cells in my body. But my body’s immune system keeps them from getting out of control. I keep my immune system healthy with good nutrition and exercise. It’s the same with the vaccine shedding.
I, un”vaxxed”, have had repeated consistent effects I can only explain with shedding. But I still believe it was virus shedding, as why would graphene only make my throat hurt (or light headache, or elevated temp but not fever yet), about a day after 12 hours of close proximity with (probably) mostly vaxxed people ended?
So as usual: avoid exposure if you can.

A friend of mine claims the same: sore throat and headaches every time she has to be in the same room for hours with people who are presumed to be all vaccinated. I have not noticed anything after dinners and hugs with vaccinated friends.

After my wife, father in law, and I attended a rodeo we all came down with ‘something’ right after and we all immediately took Ivermectin and Colloidal Silver (nasal spray and in a water gargle) for a few days…all three of us quickly recovering.
