First, Twitter doesn’t always do nuance well, but I want to make absolutely clear that what Russia’s doing in Ukraine is abhorrent and evil. Every Ukrainian who’s chosen to fight for freedom and defend their homeland is a hero, full stop. 2/ pic.twitter.com/YTlPDOPNwi

Now for the mixed bag. Part of the western response has been to unleash the weight of the west’s information machinery against Russia. This is why you’re seeing so much pro-Ukraine propaganda across all channels. 4/https://t.co/tT7NDNkANJ

Obviously, the cult of personality around Zelensky is another aspect of this Soviet-style propaganda operation. 6/https://t.co/YvK0kLr8E4

Russia appears to have anticipated this, which is why they’ve put such lackluster effort into the information front. 8/ pic.twitter.com/EyRqkM8pco

As usual, Xi is loving every minute of this. 10/ pic.twitter.com/zcNwoTljCX

As western think tanks have stated, what they really want to is pull China away from Russia to preserve trade ties between the west and China. In typical think tank fashion, they’ll never let an opportunity to kiss Xi’s arse go to waste. 12/ pic.twitter.com/SLwPFaiKfb

Also, the war is obviously a useful distraction from growing popular anger over the indefensible response to COVID. 14/ pic.twitter.com/bWgRD4mXfs

Question 2. Is Putin even trying to win this war? He’s stated that it’s simply a “special military operation” against western interests and officials. A purge of this kind is no less evil and barbaric, but there might be a kernel of truth to what Moscow is saying. 16/ pic.twitter.com/usVzEDQB4c

3. Given Russia’s lackluster military and information efforts, has Putin struck a deal with China and/or Ukraine that we don’t yet know about? That would be expected and understandable for a buffer state in Ukraine’s position. 17/ pic.twitter.com/vnTuA4EtWm

They shutdown all of Putin’s access to social media, news, and banking. That’s exactly what they’ve done to Trump and his supporters. That’s what they’ve done in Hong Kong. That’s what they’ve done to the Gilets Jaunes in France. That’s what they’ve done to the Canadian Truckers Convoy.
That’s all I need to know about who the real enemy is here.
I wonder if Snowden is doing any coding these days?
“They shutdown all of Putin’s access to social media, news, and banking.”
You mean people like Facebook and Google, who censored his opposition last year?
Fake war, fake virus, real tyranny.

BWAHAHAHAHAH! That hate us for our homos!
They’re not the only ones … many of them are right here in the Good Old US of A …
Volodymyr Zelensky – this is who they put into office.
If all the news and all the politicians and all my coworkers and even my wife are telling me something, I pretty much assume the opposite is the truth. Russia might be FOS, but they can’t be as FOS as all the media here. If everyone is blaming Russia and lauding the Ukraine, I suspect the truth is closer to Putin’s version. Unlike most folks telling me about Russia and the Ukraine, I’ve been there, and I’ve paid the bribes to prove it. And all the stolen videogame FMV clips and recycled old photos and synthetic Winston Smith-style hero stories won’t convince me otherwise.
debauchery abounds, that much is clear
-this is a prelude to a larger endeavor with many actors playing parts on both sides
Cherry picked one long paragraph from the broader article, in that last comment citing
“Ukraine’s Deadly Gamble”
Here is the article in full, for a broader perspective, as authored by Lee Smith, on 2/25/2022,
a more worthy read than what Senger postulates.
It’s a worthy read, in my opinion.
Far too many are eating up the propaganda about Putin and Russia, but Smith sees the bigger picture.

Very good analysis of the Ukrainian situation the past 20 years, or so.
There’s plenty of propaganda in that article too, but yes, there is a recognition that there are legitimate Russian interests in Ukraine.
At their base city of Mariupol just during the month of October 2014 the police department had to report over 200 rapes committed by Azov and the Ukrainian National Guard in a public meeting held at the city police department. According to local residents in Mariupol which is a city of over 500,000; people are constantly going missing.
2014
I have no idea what’s going on over there, the fog of bullshit is too thick.
But Sundance just reported that Soros and Killary are all gonzo on supporting Ukraine.
So I guess I’m not?
If the Ukrainians were doing well, we’d be seeing nothing but that, endlessly. Instead, we’re getting emotional propaganda, and no actual facts.
Another game being played with deadly consequences.
Armstrong has a good read on the backdrop story of how we all got here:
“The only way to avoid World War III is to listen to both sides. The refusal to listen ensures that we will move into World War III and this is not my opinion……”
