Just paid $4.94 a gallon for diesel here in NY. We are usually 30 cents above average due to the thievery in taxes added. I noticed people are hoarding gas and diesel now. I waited 10 mins to fuel up, guy in front of me spent almost $200 on filling his truck and 5 gas cans. We are taking the tips put out by that evil looking bitch Psaki…we are driving a lot less. Gonna be breaking out our riding Morgan and using her for local travel.

If I only spent $60,000 on an electric vehicle….LOL

Oh yea. I need to fill up the cans. May as well do it before oil hits 200.

In a rare episode of good timing, I filled my bulk tanks just days before the price went spastic. I’m already planning my spring/summer usage tighter than I ever have before. Ranch business takes what it will, it varies from year to year. But any distance driving now consists of basically 2 trips this spring/summer; one to return a wood splitter to a cousin about 100 miles away and then getting firewood. Otherwise I’m staying pretty close to the cave. There’s wolves howling out there in the darkness.
Shoulda stuck with the horse-drawn equipment. 🙂

Our Morgan still has a lot of life left to her. I am tempted to talk to the local Amish and get a small carriage and train her to tow.

I think a lot of people are going to try to mimic the Amish lifestyle and most will fail miserably. We have done our best the last few years to become self sufficient, but we still drive cars and depend on electricity. We are prepared to do what needs to be done though.
