Actually I don’t hate all sports. They’re just not as “important”. High school football, baseball and basketball are still somewhat “innocent”. And in rural America these kid sports are often the lifeblood of small towns. I just don’t care for the dads trying to relive their “glory days” in sports through their kids.
The Super Bowl halftime is gay as gay can be. Pro sports “figures” are out of control needless to say living in a completely different “realm” on earth.
That being said , I may enter that bracket thing. I’ve not checked TV schedule. Likely all games can only be viewed on ESPN. ☹️

Just pick based on seeding and a couple of long shots and you should be good. Flipping a coin works too!

Seriously it is a “shame” the $$$ thing at the high school level. Use to in Texas high school football the team that finished first in its district went to the state playoffs. The UIL got money hungry. UIL decided that the 1st and 2nd place finishers will go to the playoffs. Then the top FOUR teams from each UIL district. More teams, more games more revenue. I’m not certain where the $$$ go. Does not seem to put a dent in the property tax liabilities , the high school football stadiums. As “they ” say Football Is King In Texas. Now days there is however this guy running around Texas that for some reason thinks he is King.
Also, while perhaps not totally related, youth sports began to implement the theme, everyone gets a trophy. There are no “losers”. While I’m sure it is a big thrill for young people to go to the playoffs in Texas high school football, with some UIL districts there are only five teams. Real life, the 4th place finisher wins maybe only one game all year, a district game against the last place finisher. Off to the playoffs and a “no contest” in the first round typically with a “powerhouse” type program. I like rooting for the underdogs but the scenario is a bit ridiculous.

I was just pulling Admin’s chain. I have no interest in the tournament but I understand the excitement. I was living in Bucks County, PA when Rollie Massimino led Villanova to the national championship. Even to an outsider, it was great to experience that.

Off topic , the tournament, mentioning corn, the obsession with corn as a deer attractant in Texas is hilarious IMOA. Over the years in this East Texas area at least, people have raised fewer cattle than what I recall even as short a time period as early 2000’s. As a result while feed stores around here still sell livestock feed, I know of one anyway that looks more like a sporting goods store selling “game cameras”, “deer feeders”, “deer stands”, camouflage clothing, rattling antlers, any number of gadgets and “tricks” to enhance the success of the “deer hunter”, deer mineral blocks and of course a multitude of “deer corn” in any number of flavors and “brand” descriptions. Iowa Grown Deer Corn, Record Rack Deer Corn, Camo Corn ( huh? ) , Top Score Deer Corn, Orange (Scented ) Deer Corn that drives bucks crazy, Remington Deer Corn, Buck Nuts Deer Corn and the latest I’ve seen around here, Double Duty Deer Corn! Double duty? Works day and night I suppose.

Major upset. Georgetown was favored to win, but they were denied. Was one of three people in my Sci Fi class who picked Villinova to win it all. They’ve been my team for better or worse. Die-hard Michigan fan for all other sports, except basketball.
And to add context around the Sci Fi class. The Grade 12 jocks would take in their last semester, thinking it was a blowoff class (it wasn’t). They were so sure Georgetown was going to win. NCAA tourney is like the second season, kind of like the Stanley Cup playoffs.

BUT …. they were, oh yes they were, charged by the NCAA and found guilty on appeal of loss of institutional control, of having a coach who directly participated in cheating, of buying players, and have recruited multiple players in recent years charged with battering women and other crimes.
NORTH CAROLINA is no better. An NCAA investigation proved that UNC had players over the course of nearly two friggin decades who were kept eligible by getting grades for no work, no attendance at classes, fake and inflated grades, and even taking classes that never existed!!
Both schools received no more than a slap on the wrist.
Bottom Line: Even college basketball is a fucking fraud. A freaking waste of time. Zero fucks to give for Kneegrow Ball!!!!
