THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK: IT TAKES a South African newspaper to state the bleeding obvious because you won’t find this in our captured and corrupted MSM. “To older generations, the speeding clock of change is almost unrecognisable. Clif has proven himself in his articles in the past but I had to point out in the comments: “Great article ‘clif’ but not so fast on the hyperinflation bit. To have this you will need an alternative currency in circulation. For example I can’t see the Khazarian CBs allowing another currency to be circulated in USA or EU other than the USD or euro. Maybe Bitcoin etc might fit the bill but PMs won’t.
The established way to deal with runaway inflation is to increase interest rates and in the final analysis set up a Currency Board. The history of Currency Boards dates back to 1849 when the first Currency Board was established in Mauritius as a means to guarantee a stable and secure supply of domestic money. It might turn out that gold is chosen as the reserve currency.

President Rob Kapito, [sounds like a mafia boss to me], warned that inflation is having dramatic effects on the economy, with an entire generation now learning what it means to suffer from shortages.

Yes Rob, very true, the Americans have never suffered shortages and have taken their cossetted lifestyle for granted. On the other hand my generation were cultured to ‘make & mend’ in my early years just after WW2 in Britain.
I experienced rationing and shortages for years. It was only in 1952, when sweets came off ration, and at the age of eight my mother gave me sixpence to go to the corner shop and buy as many sweets as I could – I remember it well – but we were happy and healthy.
I could write a book about poverty in post war Britain; I lived it, but sadly today’s generations have no experience or training to manage shortages of any kind.
