At least throw in the hottie from the video:
I’ll add these from my student days in 1993:
They’re still on my daily workout mix tape / mix CD / MP3 player / Memory card.
Love the Gin Blossoms! Even though I lived in Seattle at the time, I never really liked much of the grunge.
Burners, please turn to page 242 of your hymnals, and we’ll sing along with our church band the HYMN of THE 4th TURNING:
One of us is waiting, one side of us waiting
Some of us are striving, somewhere on a mountain
One part of us keeps giving away, giving away, giving away…
Chorus :
And disorder must come
And disorder must reign
Every minute will count
When disorder is king
One of us is waiting, one more number’s waiting
Where’s your revolution plan?
Where’s your need to make a stand
To finalize, to synchronize?
One stand, one stand together
One stand, one stand to hang the standard high
The standard high
Where’s your revolution plan?
Where’s your need to understand
To find more time, to find more time?
Chorus
One of us is waiting, one side of us is waiting
Where’s your revolution plan?
Where’s the leading upperhand
To guide your life, to guide your life
One stand, one stand together
One stand, one stand to hang the standard high
The standard high
Chorus
You beat me to it.
Released in 1990. You know what they say … close enough for rock n roll.
Good stuff. Their Sympathy for the Devil cover is awesome too.
Tom Petty wins..Whitney Houston was great, but it’s Dolly’s song….

When we were dating, my husband – on bended knee – sang “Have I told you lately that I love you” by Rod Stewart at fancy seafood restaurant in Northern VA. It was a little more attention than I wanted but looking back it confirmed he was the one for me. Happily married since 2016.
STPs first album. Grrr ate
cant forget this one
Wow! all good stuff. Thank You.
Pearl Jam and Nirvana being celebrated on The Platform? Really?
Songs for driving empty highways alone, late into the night, somewhere in America with the windows down, early 90’s-
So many memories come flooding back with Sweet Jane. As a freshman in college we had one TV channel (Fox) and 3 movies: Reservoir Dogs, Natural Born Killers and Speed. The kid from across the hall came to our dorm room basically every day and we watched either Reservoir Dogs or Natural Born Killers.
The song is so prominent in the latter. This total (and almost beautiful) break in the mayhem. And its such a great song…I still get chills every time when she sings the interlude.
Heavenly White Roses
Seem to whisper to Me
When you smile
For old time sake
Watch it.
