Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla may have forgotten he was on camera this week, as he dazzled the audience at the World Economic Forum in Davos with fantasies of ingestible computer chips that signal authorities when a drug has been digested.
“It is a, basically biological chip that is in the tablet. And once we take the tablet and dissolves into the stomach, sends a signal that you took the table. So imagine the applications of that – the compliance. The insurance companies know that the medicines patients should take, they take them.

Reactions to Bourla’s dystopian pitch were about what one would expect – though Pfizer’s defenders chimed in claiming it could be used in “specific” conditions such as ‘schizophrenia and cancers’ to assure compliance.

This technology has been around for a few years. Indeed, compliance with drug therapies for actual conditions is how they have always been promoted (not that I think that bigPharma has much to offer in the way of real therapies for any conditions, but that isn’t the point). It terrifies me to think of why this is making the news now, or that Pfizer would be interested in such a push at this moment. But if you remember in one of the dystopian novels (think it was This Perfect Day by Ira Levin – of Rosemary’s Baby fame), the pacification drug dispenser kept track of when you last had your dose, if you were being compliant, etc. (done by injections, not pills). Pretty much what they are shooting for here. Seems like if this is what they are shooting for, we are going to be needing to shoot back.

Earlier I commented on an AI stand up video. It was funny to me because it showcased the absolute absurdity of these people who think they are uniquely qualified to rule humanity with technology and AI. In HFs video it’s weird that after many hours of ingesting data, AI couldn’t figure out that the next sentence should logically say “eyes are tired” but it is translated as “eyes are tires”. I noticed that. It was stupid funny to me.
AI is creepy but I don’t think we should be worried about it controlling the world. It’s limited in it’s actual use. Beyond that is just another fear based distraction, IMO. Just say no.
