Animal House.
Blazing Saddles.
I’m always surprised to see Blazing Saddles show up on TV. Can’t believe it hasn’t been outlawed by now.
they’ll certainly never see the uncut version of Blazing Saddles, and too bad for that
to think Mel Brooks made that AND Young Frankenstein in the same year, amazing
DVD’s.
Used, but typically in great shape. (inspect)
Resale stores.
Buck apiece.
Build your library now, whilst the idiots think streaming will be available forever.
A Honda generator will run a 60″ TV and a DVD player (also available at resale’s)
when the Borg turns off the internet, and the electrical grid goes down from all the Tesla charging stations. (from a fire?)
Hell, you might make a lucrative bundle featuring “movie night” in your gulch,
on Saturday nights in 2030, Mr. Galt.
I hear popcorn seeds last for years on your pantry shelves, too.
But butter is another story.
“Well, things were goin’ real good, Mr. Lamar, until that uppity nigger hit me in the head with a shovel.”
I bought some 200 watt solar panels to charge batteries so I could run a few LED lights, the TV and DVD player when the power goes down. Generators need fuel and fuel might be hard to come by.
Bacon fat gives a nice flavor to popcorn. My Dad used it to pop corn when I was a kid and I really liked it.
IFC regularly shows it uncut, as does Turner Classic Movies. More shocking that they both do. They show Animal House uncut as well.
I even saw an uncensored version a few weeks back.
The original King Kong. A bunch of jungle bros lusting after a white broad, blonde no less, who gets kidnapped by a horny gorilla (with a 30″ pecker I presume)? I don’t think so.
No way the King Schlong is only thirty inches.
I think you can safely triple that estimation!!!
On the conservative side.
I came of age as far as movies go in the 1990s:
Pulp Fiction
Shawshank Redemption
Wayne’s World
Huh? Someone didn’t like the 1990s. Or Wayne’s World?
Fight Club
The Big Lebowski
On the tv version “This is what happens when you find a stranger in the alps!”
Makes perfect sense.
I always smash up a Corvette when I think someone has found a stranger in the Alps.
THX 1138
Brazil
12 Monkeys
I’ve also told myself to make my son sit down and watch On Any Sunday to show him what life was like back in the early 1970s prior to 1973. It is probably now one of the greatest movies about America’s lost freedoms ever made.
And there it is, the full movie – On Any Sunday
I have lurked here for 10 years. Rode motorcycles for 30. I don’t watch TV or movies much so this is the first time I have seen this. Awesome! First comment here…
motocross reveled epiphanies to me…too.
Back when it was real motocross outdoors and not arenacross.
12 Monkeys is now considered a documentary.

The scene where Henry Fonda and Harry Morgan knock down the cowboy in the salon and just commence to stomping his ass is a wild one.
Another great salon scene is at the end of Winchester 73.
And of course there is this scene.
Big trouble in little China
Remo Williams
Fred just passed. Loved that flick.
The River’s Edge
I can’t believe what the US has become, i’ve pointed out to my children as they grew up all the liberal bullshit that they our foisting upon us is not only not right its not natural.
I didn’t think you would want me to list pretty much all of them.
Monty Python Quest for the Holy Grail
“The Thirteenth Warrior”
Great flick.
Even more than his movies, man I miss reading his latest. Always such a smart writer.
MM,I found the book “Eaters Of The Dead”very dry in comparison to the movie, that said, did really enjoy most of Mike’s writing!
To whomever who negged “The 13 Warrior”…..,eh the pox on you!
Shane. It’s theme of good fighting evil is the most important ever.

My mom had a bunch of her friends over when I was about 10 years old to watch A Clockwork Orange. She had no idea what is was about, so I was also able to sit and watch it.
I saw Clockwork Orange at the theater when it came out but I didn’t ‘get it’ for some time.
The Name of the Rose. It’s got all the good stuff: tonsures, Grand Inquisitor, medieval monastery, calligraphy, poison, gross cataracts, murder, an Italian monk with a Scottish accent (Sean Connery), burning at the stake and a hot peasant girl.
Casablanca …. Bogie
The Key…. Holden/Loren
The Train …. Lancaster
To Kill a Mockingbird. …. Peck
The Americanization of Emily
Bought the DVD to see it. Great anti-war film.
Lawrence of Arabia
Doctor Zhivago
In a world of digital content, the only way to make sure art survives is to have real copies, books, DVS, CDs, etc., they can make any of the digital content disappear any time it displeases them, but those copies will survive hopefully, especially the books, safeguard them for the people that have yet to be born
Rollerball, The 1st 3 Mad Max, Easy Rider.
Assuming you mean the James Caan Rollerball, one of the most underappreciated movies of all time, like Being There and Network
Battle of britain
A bridge too far
The deer hunter
The Deer Hunter messed me up for days. Kramer vs. Kramer did a number on me too.
I was way to young to see deerhunter, yet there i was.
I still love Spartacus. Am a big Kirk fan. I have about 3,000 movies, both VHS & DVD, was thumbing through some yesterday and pulled Blade Runner(the version with Ford’s narration) Hud & Hombre(Newman is always a treat) and an old Kirk, The Big Trees. I took out my favorite Clint movie, Gran Torino, a couple weeks ago and am still trying to make time for it.
All this Marvel Universe crap & turning Superman into a fag holds not a bit of interest for me. However I see Cruise has done it again with Top Gun ll and I’m gonna catch it.
clint’s greatest line ever…”i used to stacks gooks like you 3 foot high and use ’em for sandbags”
Saw the new Top Gun on Monday. Personally I like it better than the original, even though its plot is just as ridiculous. Lots less gung-ho military propaganda (though naturally it’s still there – and when they do dogfight with another country, its name is not mentioned nor do any enemy craft have markings) and posturing, lots more jet-flying action — and the flying scenes are breathtaking, well worth the extra money I spent to see it in IMAX. Every time Tom (who does his own flying, as do all the actors, no CGI) did a barrel roll or dive, I was twisting in my seat. I think I almost hit the fat woman sitting next to me.
Anyway, it’s a great sequel and deserves to be seen.
I saw it in IMAX, as well. All of the actors were in the back seat of an FA-18 with cameras in the cockpit recording from various angles. Navy pilots were flying at all times.
Tom is the one flying the P-51, which is his.
That was also Tom piloting his F-18 (though he wasn’t pulling 10g verticals). He’s quite proud of it (rightly so).
And I pointed out that absolutely cherry Mustang was Tom’s personal whip to the wife, who was suitably non-impressed.
So, 34 years later he’s still doing the SAME job and hasn’t advanced in rank? So, it’s a story about a loser?
Cruise is the very definition of an Elite cocksucker and I wouldn’t spend a penny to put in his pocket. But, that’s just me.
some scary shit in those photos
would Idiocracy be a movie or documentary?
The Warriors
Outlaw Josey Wales
1st Superman with Christopher Reeves
Fast Times at Ridgemont High (is unwatchable edited for TV)
I watched both Scarface and Goodfellas on Turner Network Television once. Truly hilarious editing.
“Easy Money”. Rodney at his finest. Joe Pesci, too. Co-written by PJ O’Rourke.
The Great Escape
Big Jake
The Stuntman
Being There
Kelly’s Heroes
Dirty Dozen
My Name is Nobody
Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
Revenge of the Nerds
Catch 22.
Up In Smoke. A virtual festival of political incorrectness. Get the DVD’s while you can of this one and stuff like Blazing Saddles. Blew my kid’s minds when I played Blazing Saddles for them last year.
Three Days of the Condor.
Gen Z’ll never know the how accurate and realistic it depicts the see aye, eh?
Hell, they probably don’t even know what those initials stand for.
Ugh.
I feel bad for my brother’s grandchildren, and the censorship they shall endure.
They won’t know, and they won’t ever know that they don’t know.
paper moon

Saw the extended version of A Clockwork Orange and The Wild Bunch one time … stoned out of my tree …
‘A little of the old ultra-violence’, indeed …
Cool Hand Luke
My Cousin Vinny

Song of the South. It was never released in the US. I picked up a copy from Europe.
It was originally released in the US 1946/1947, but it was blocked by Disney years ago. Never released on home video (VHS/DVD/etc). Don’t know the last time it may have been screened in US
Gremlins
The Jerk
Debbie Does Dallas

Fiddler on the roof ….. it’s a story about a Jewish family
Jesus Christ Superstar …… story about a Jewish dude
Wall Street ….. moar Joos
Yep , Blazing Saddles came to my mind first.
GWTW
Greatest movie ever made. A classic mid-’60’s piece, it is a comedy, action adventure, love story, and crime thriller and courtroom drama all in one.
How To Murder Your Wife!
Spoiler, the best line ever and my all time favorite – “Push the button Harold.”
Porky’s
American Pie
American Graffiti
The original “Lathe of Heaven”.
Haven’t seen that since the 80’s, instead of the plauge we have covid shots.
