I’m of the opinion that the markets are controlled by computer algorithms. Buying and selling is automatic when prime conditions are met. The sudden drops recently are what should happen but the plunge protection team keeps rushing in to manually correct the problem. Maybe soon, with any luck, the computer model will get real and sell everything.
Then when everybody is broke things can get done to attempt a correction of the current situation.
